Ezekiel 5

1 And thou, son of man, take thee a sharp knife, take thee a barber's rasor, and cause it to pass upon thine head and upon thy beard: then take thee balances to weight, and divide the hair.	1 Figlio dell'uomo, prènditi una lama affilata che userai come rasoio da tosatori, facendola passare sulla tua testa e sul tuo mento. Poi ti prenderai una bilancia e dividerai i peli.
2 Thou shalt burn with fire a third part in the midst of the city, when the days of the siege are fulfilled: and thou shalt take a third part, and smite about it with a knife: and a third part thou shalt scatter in the wind; and I will draw out a sword after them.	2 Un terzo lo farai bruciare nel forno dentro la città quando si compiranno i giorni dell'assedio. Poi ne prenderai un terzo, che taglierai con la lama intorno, e un terzo lo disperderai al vento, mentre io sfodererò dietro ad essi una spada;
3 Thou shalt also take thereof a few in number, and bind them in thy skirts.	3 ne prenderai quindi un piccolo numero e te li rinchiuderai in un orlo.
4 Then take of them again, and cast them into the midst of the fire, and burn them in the fire; for thereof shall a fire come forth into all the house of Israel.	4 Ma ne preleverai ulteriormente e li butterai in mezzo al fuoco e ve li brucerai. Poi dirai alla casa d'Israele:
5 Thus saith the Lord GOD; This is Jerusalem: I have set it in the midst of the nations and countries that are round about her.	5 Così dice Dio, mio Signore. Questa è Gerusalemme. L'ho posta in mezzo alle genti con gli altri paesi tutt'intorno.
6 And she hath changed my judgments into wickedness more than the nations, and my statutes more than the countries that are round about her: for they have refused my judgments and my statutes, they have not walked in them.	6 Ma si è ribellata alle mie norme per commettere più empietà che le genti, ai miei decreti, più che i paesi che ha attorno. Sì, hanno respinto le mie norme e non hanno seguito i miei decreti.
7 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye multiplied more than the nations that are round about you, and have not walked in my statutes, neither have kept my judgments, neither have done according to the judgments of the nations that are round about you;	7 Per questo così dice il Signore: siccome la vostra tumultuosa potenza è peggio che le genti attorno a voi, non avete seguito i miei decreti, non avete osservato le mie norme e non avete neanche agito secondo le norme delle genti attorno,
8 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I, even I, am against thee, and will execute judgments in the midst of thee in the sight of the nations.	8 perciò così dice il Signore Dio: Ecco anch'io mi metto contro di te ed eseguirò in mezzo a te la mia condanna al cospetto delle genti,
9 And I will do in thee that which I have not done, and whereunto I will not do any more the like, because of all thine abominations.	9 ti farò quel che non ti ho mai fatto e che non ti farò mai più, a causa di tutte le tue abominazioni.
10 Therefore the fathers shall eat the sons in the midst of thee, and the sons shall eat their fathers; and I will execute judgments in thee, and the whole remnant of thee will I scatter into all the winds.	10 Così in te i padri mangeranno i figli e i figli mangeranno i loro padri, eseguirò contro di te la mia condanna e disperderò ogni tuo resto a ogni vento.
11 Wherefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD; Surely, because thou hast defiled my sanctuary with all thy detestable things, and with all thine abominations, therefore will I also diminish thee; neither shall mine eye spare, neither will I have any pity.	11 Così per la mia vita, oracolo di Dio, mio Signore, siccome hai reso impuro il mio santuario con tutti i tuoi idoli e con tutte le tue abominazioni, giuro che anch'io mi metterò a radere e il mio occhio non avrà compassione, non avrò pietà.
12 A third part of thee shall die with the pestilence, and with famine shall they be consumed in the midst of thee: and a third part shall fall by the sword round about thee and I will scatter a third part into all the winds, and I will draw out a sword after them.	12 Un terzo di te morrà di peste e sarà consumato dalla fame dentro di te, un terzo cadrà di spada intorno a te e al terzo, che disperderò ad ogni vento, sfodererò dietro una spada.
13 Thus shall mine anger be accomplished, and I will cause my fury to rest upon them, and I will be comforted: and they shall know that I the LORD have spoken it in my zeal, when I have accomplished my fury in them.	13 Quindi la mia irosa gelosia sarà compiuta, il mio furore s'acquieterà in essi e sarò soddisfatto. Riconosceranno che sono io che ho parlato nella mia gelosia quando compirò il mio furore su di loro.
14 Moreover I will make thee waste, and a reproach among the nations that are round about thee, in the sight of all that pass by.	14 Ti farò diventare la devastazione e lo scherno delle genti che hai attorno, al cospetto di ogni passante.
15 So it shall be a reproach and a taunt, an instruction and an astonishment unto the nations that are round about thee, when I shall execute judgments in thee in anger and in fury and in furious rebukes. I the LORD have spoken it.	15 Sarai scherno e oltraggio, ammonimento e stordimento per i popoli che ti sono attorno, quando decreterò contro di te la mia condanna nell'ira e nel furore e nei castighi terribili: io, il Signore, ho parlato;
16 When I shall send upon them the evil arrows of famine, which shall be for their destruction, and which I will send to destroy you: and I will increase the famine upon you, and will break your staff of bread:	16 quando scaglierò contro di essi le funeste frecce della fame, quale sterminio che manderò contro di essi per sterminarli. Sì, la fame aggiungerò contro di essi! Spezzerò loro il bastone del pane.
17 So will I send upon you famine and evil beasts, and they shall bereave thee; and pestilence and blood shall pass through thee; and I will bring the sword upon thee. I the LORD have spoken it.	17 Manderò contro di essi la fame e le fiere cattive; ti spopoleranno; peste e sangue verranno su di te e ti manderò contro la spada: io, il Signore, ho parlato".
