Ezekiel 5

1 And thou, son of man, take thee a sharp knife, take thee a barber's rasor, and cause it to pass upon thine head and upon thy beard: then take thee balances to weight, and divide the hair.	1 - E tu, figlio dell'uomo, prendi una spada affilata che rada i peli, prendila e passala sui peli del tuo capo e su quelli della tua barba, poi procurati una bilancia per pesarli, per farne delle parti.
2 Thou shalt burn with fire a third part in the midst of the city, when the days of the siege are fulfilled: and thou shalt take a third part, and smite about it with a knife: and a third part thou shalt scatter in the wind; and I will draw out a sword after them.	2 Un terzo lo brucerai sul fuoco in mezzo alla città nel compiersi i giorni dell'assedio; un terzo farai in pezzi colla spada intorno alla città; un terzo lo spanderai al vento e io vi sguainerò la spada dietro.
3 Thou shalt also take thereof a few in number, and bind them in thy skirts.	3 Ne prenderai un piccolo numero e li legherai alla falda del tuo mantello.
4 Then take of them again, and cast them into the midst of the fire, and burn them in the fire; for thereof shall a fire come forth into all the house of Israel.	4 E da questi ancora ne prenderai alcuni e li getterai in mezzo alla fiamma e li abbrucerai sul fuoco; e di qui uscirà un fuoco per tutta la casa d'Israele».
5 Thus saith the Lord GOD; This is Jerusalem: I have set it in the midst of the nations and countries that are round about her.	5 Così dice il Signore Dio: «Questa è Gerusalemme; in mezzo a nazioni l'ho collocata con terre tutto intorno.
6 And she hath changed my judgments into wickedness more than the nations, and my statutes more than the countries that are round about her: for they have refused my judgments and my statutes, they have not walked in them.	6 E disprezzò i miei decreti degradandosi più che i gentili, disprezzò i miei precetti più che le terre che la circondano, perchè ha rigettato i miei decreti e non hanno camminato sulla via dei miei precetti».
7 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye multiplied more than the nations that are round about you, and have not walked in my statutes, neither have kept my judgments, neither have done according to the judgments of the nations that are round about you;	7 Per questo, così dice il Signore: «Perchè avete sorpassate le nazioni che vi stanno d'intorno, e non avete seguìto i miei comandamenti, e non avete messo in pratica i miei decreti, neppure tanto da stare a pari colle nazioni circostanti a voi»;
8 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I, even I, am against thee, and will execute judgments in the midst of thee in the sight of the nations.	8 per questo, così dice il Signore Dio: «Eccomi a te e io stesso eseguirò i miei giudizi davanti agli occhi delle nazioni.
9 And I will do in thee that which I have not done, and whereunto I will not do any more the like, because of all thine abominations.	9 E farò contro di te cose che non ho mai fatto nè simili mai più farò, per causa di tutte le tue abominazioni.
10 Therefore the fathers shall eat the sons in the midst of thee, and the sons shall eat their fathers; and I will execute judgments in thee, and the whole remnant of thee will I scatter into all the winds.	10 Perciò i padri mangeranno in mezzo a te i loro figli, e i figli mangeranno i loro padri; ed io eseguirò terribili giudizi su di te e disperderò i tuoi residui ad ogni vento.
11 Wherefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD; Surely, because thou hast defiled my sanctuary with all thy detestable things, and with all thine abominations, therefore will I also diminish thee; neither shall mine eye spare, neither will I have any pity.	11 Com'è vero ch'io vivo, dopo che hai profanato il mio santuario con tutti i tuoi scandali e con tutte le tue abominazioni, anch'io stritolerò e l'occhio mio non risparmierà e non userà misericordia.
12 A third part of thee shall die with the pestilence, and with famine shall they be consumed in the midst of thee: and a third part shall fall by the sword round about thee and I will scatter a third part into all the winds, and I will draw out a sword after them.	12 Un terzo dei tuoi morrà di peste e consunto dalla fame in mezzo a te; un terzo cadrà sotto la spada intorno a te; e un terzo lo disperderò a tutti i vènti e vi sguainerò la spada dietro.
13 Thus shall mine anger be accomplished, and I will cause my fury to rest upon them, and I will be comforted: and they shall know that I the LORD have spoken it in my zeal, when I have accomplished my fury in them.	13 E così finirà l'ira mia e si acquieterà il mio sdegno su di essi e sarò soddisfatto, e sapranno che io, il Signore, geloso del mio onore, ho parlato, quando avrò dato compimento all'ira mia.
14 Moreover I will make thee waste, and a reproach among the nations that are round about thee, in the sight of all that pass by.	14 E ti ridurrò in un deserto, vituperio alle genti che ti stanno intorno e agli sguardi di chiunque ti passerà accanto.
15 So it shall be a reproach and a taunt, an instruction and an astonishment unto the nations that are round about thee, when I shall execute judgments in thee in anger and in fury and in furious rebukes. I the LORD have spoken it.	15 E sarai in vituperio e maledizione, in esempio e stupore alle genti che stanno a te d'intorno, quando avrò eseguito su di te i giudizi dettati dal furore, dallo sdegno e dall'ira punitrice.
16 When I shall send upon them the evil arrows of famine, which shall be for their destruction, and which I will send to destroy you: and I will increase the famine upon you, and will break your staff of bread:	16 Io, il Signore, ho parlato; quando scaglierò su di essi le saette orrende della fame, quelle mortifere punte ch'io vi avventerò per distruggervi, e aggiungerò fame a fame, e troncherò ogni mezzo di sostentamento di pane,
17 So will I send upon you famine and evil beasts, and they shall bereave thee; and pestilence and blood shall pass through thee; and I will bring the sword upon thee. I the LORD have spoken it.	17 e manderò tra voi la fame e le bestie feroci fino a sterminarvi, e la pestilenza e le stragi passeranno attraverso a te e farò piombare su di te la spada: io, il Signore, ho parlato».
