1 Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the river of Chebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.	1 No ano trigésimo, no quarto mês, a cinco do mês, aconteceu que, estando no meio dos cativos, ao rio Cobar, se abriram os céus, e tive visões divinas,
2 In the fifth day of the month, which was the fifth year of king Jehoiachin's captivity,	2 A cinco do mês, no quinto ano da deportação do rei Joaquim,
3 The word of the LORD came expressly unto Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the river Chebar; and the hand of the LORD was there upon him.	3 foi dirigida a palavra do Senhor a Ezequiel, filho de Buzi, sacerdote, na terra dos Caldeus, junto ao rio Cobar, e lá a mão do Senhor fez-se sentir sobre ele.
4 And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire.	4 Tive pois uma visão; Da banda do norte vinha um vento tempestuoso, e uma grande nuvem, com um feixe de fogo resplendoroso, saindo do centro, do meio do fogo, uma espécie de metal brilhante.
5 Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man.	5 No meio, aparecia uma semelhança de quatro seres vivos que aparentavam forma humana.
6 And every one had four faces, and every one had four wings.	6 Cada um tinha quatro rostos, e cada um quatro asas.
7 And their feet were straight feet; and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf's foot: and they sparkled like the colour of burnished brass.	7 As suas pernas eram direitas, e a planta dos (seus) pés era como a planta do pé dum novilho, e cintilavam como bronze incandescente.
8 And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides; and they four had their faces and their wings.	8 Apareciam mãos de homem debaixo das suas asas aos quatro lados. As faces de todos os quatro estavam voltadas para as quatro direcções.
9 Their wings were joined one to another; they turned not when they went; they went every one straight forward.	9 As asas dum estavam juntas às do outro; não se voltavam quando iam caminhando, mas cada um seguia segundo a direcção do seu rosto.
10 As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle.	10 O seu semblante era assim: rosto de homem pela frente, e face de leão à direita, em todos os quatro, face de touro à esquerda, em todos os quatro, e face de águia nos mesmos quatro.
11 Thus were their faces: and their wings were stretched upward; two wings of every one were joined one to another, and two covered their bodies.	11 Tais eram seus rostos. As suas asas estendiam-se para o alto; duas asas de cada um juntavam-se, e duas cobriam os seus corpos.
12 And they went every one straight forward: whither the spirit was to go, they went; and they turned not when they went.	12 Cada um deles caminhava segundo a direcção do seu rosto; para onde os Impelia o espírito, para ali caminhavam, nem se voltavam quando iam andando.
13 As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, and like the appearance of lamps: it went up and down among the living creatures; and the fire was bright, and out of the fire went forth lightning.	13 O aspecto destes seres vivos assemelhava-os a carvões ardentes, como archotes. Via-se discorrer pelo meio dos seres vivos, um resplendor de fogo, e sair relâmpagos do fogo.
14 And the living creatures ran and returned as the appearance of a flash of lightning.	14 E esses seres vivos iam e voltavam, à semelhança de raios.
15 Now as I beheld the living creatures, behold one wheel upon the earth by the living creatures, with his four faces.	15 Ora, enquanto eu estava olhando para estes viventes, apareceu junto de cada um dos quatro uma roda sobre a terra.
16 The appearance of the wheels and their work was like unto the colour of a beryl: and they four had one likeness: and their appearance and their work was as it were a wheel in the middle of a wheel.	16 O aspecto das rodas e a sua estrutura pareciam ter o brilho de pedra de Tarsis; e todas quatro eram semelhantes; e o seu aspecto e estrutura eram como de uma roda que está no meio doutra roda.
17 When they went, they went upon their four sides: and they turned not when they went.	17 Avançavam nas quatro direcções e não se voltavam quando iam rodando.
18 As for their rings, they were so high that they were dreadful; and their rings were full of eyes round about them four.	18 Tinham também estas rodas uma altura horrível; todo o corpo das quatro rodas estava cheio de olhos ao redor.
19 And when the living creatures went, the wheels went by them: and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up.	19 Quando os viventes andavam, andavam também as rodas junto deles; e, quando os viventes se elevavam da terra, também as rodas se elevavam juntamente.
20 Whithersoever the spirit was to go, they went, thither was their spirit to go; and the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.	20 Para onde o espírito as impelia, as rodas iam, seguindo-o, e igualmente se elevavam, porque o espírito da cada vivente estava nas rodas.
21 When those went, these went; and when those stood, these stood; and when those were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.	21 Andando os viventes, andavam as rodas; parando eles, paravam elas; e quando eles se elevavam da terra, também as rodas, seguindo-os, juntamente se elevavam, por que o espírito de cada vivente estava nas rodas.
22 And the likeness of the firmament upon the heads of the living creature was as the colour of the terrible crystal, stretched forth over their heads above.	22 Por cima das cabeças dos seres vivos via-se uma o semelhança de firmamento, como de cristal estupendo, estendido por cima de suas cabeças.
23 And under the firmament were their wings straight, the one toward the other: every one had two, which covered on this side, and every one had two, which covered on that side, their bodies.	23 E debaixo deste firmamento(viam-se) as suas asas estendidas tocando a asa dum na do outro; cada um cobria o seu corpo com duas asas.
24 And when they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of great waters, as the voice of the Almighty, the voice of speech, as the noise of an host: when they stood, they let down their wings.	24 Eu ouvia, quando eles andavam, o ruído das suas asas, como o ruído de muitas águas, como a voz do Omnipotente. como o ruído dum exército; quando paravam, baixavam as suas asas.
25 And there was a voice from the firmament that was over their heads, when they stood, and had let down their wings.	25 Porque, quando saía uma voz de sobre o firmamento que ficava por cima das suas cabeças, paravam e baixavam as suas asas.
26 And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone: and upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it.	26 Sobre este firmamento, que ficava por cima das suas cabeças, havia uma semelhança de pedra de safira, como um trono, e sobre esta semelhança de trono havia, no alto, um ser com aparência humana.
27 And I saw as the colour of amber, as the appearance of fire round about within it, from the appearance of his loins even upward, and from the appearance of his loins even downward, I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and it had brightness round about.	27 Vi uma espécie de metal brilhante, como fogo, no interior e em volta dele, da sua cintura para cima; e da cintura para baixo vi como um fogo que resplandecia ao redor;
28 As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake.	28 qual arco íris que aparece numa nuvem em dia de chuva, tal era o aspecto do resplendor em roda.
