Jeremiah 28

1 And it came to pass the same year, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the fourth year, and in the fifth month, that Hananiah the son of Azur the prophet, which was of Gibeon, spake unto me in the house of the LORD, in the presence of the priests and of all the people, saying,	1 - Or avvenne che in quello stesso anno, in principio del regno di Sedecia, re di Giuda, cioè, il quarto anno nel quinto mese, Anania figlio di Azur, profeta di Gabaon, mi apostrofò nella casa del Signore in presenza dei sacerdoti e di tutto il popolo dicendo:
2 Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saying, I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon.	2 «Così dice il Signore degli eserciti, il Dio d'Israele: - Ho spezzato il giogo del re di Babilonia.
3 Within two full years will I bring again into this place all the vessels of the LORD's house, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took away from this place, and carried them to Babylon:	3 Ancor due anni di tempo e io farò ritornare in questo luogo tutto il vasellame della casa del Signore che Nabucodonosor, re di Babilonia, tolse di qui e trasportò in Babilonia.
4 And I will bring again to this place Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, with all the captives of Judah, that went into Babylon, saith the LORD: for I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon.	4 E Jeconia, figlio di Joachin re di Giuda, e tutta la gente che fu deportata da Giuda e internata in Babilonia farò ritornare in questo luogo, dice il Signore, perchè infrangerò il giogo del re di Babilonia -».
5 Then the prophet Jeremiah said unto the prophet Hananiah in the presence of the priests, and in the presence of all the people that stood in the house of the LORD,	5 E Geremia profeta rispose al profeta Anania in presenza dei sacerdoti e al cospetto di tutto il popolo che stava nella casa del Signore,
6 Even the prophet Jeremiah said, Amen: the LORD do so: the LORD perform thy words which thou hast prophesied, to bring again the vessels of the LORD's house, and all that is carried away captive, from Babylon into this place.	6 e disse Geremia profeta: «Così sia! Così faccia il Signore! Adempia il Signore le parole che hai profetizzato, affinchè tornino i vasi nella casa del Signore e tutta la gente deportata in Babilonia, in questo luogo.
7 Nevertheless hear thou now this word that I speak in thine ears, and in the ears of all the people;	7 Per altro, ascolta questa parola che io pronunzio nelle tue orecchie e in quelle di tutto il popolo:
8 The prophets that have been before me and before thee of old prophesied both against many countries, and against great kingdoms, of war, and of evil, and of pestilence.	8 - I profeti che furono prima di me e di te ab antico hanno pure profetizzato su molti paesi e su regni grandi, di guerra, di angustia, e di fame.
9 The prophet which prophesieth of peace, when the word of the prophet shall come to pass, then shall the prophet be known, that the LORD hath truly sent him.	9 Il profeta, dunque, che ha predetta la pace, all'avverarsi della sua parola si riconoscerà profeta mandato veramente dal Signore -».
10 Then Hananiah the prophet took the yoke from off the prophet Jeremiah's neck, and brake it.	10 Allora il profeta Anania strappò le ritorte dal collo del profeta Geremia e le fece in pezzi.
11 And Hananiah spake in the presence of all the people, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Even so will I break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon from the neck of all nations within the space of two full years. And the prophet Jeremiah went his way.	11 E Anania esclamò al cospetto di tutto il popolo dicendo: «Così dice il Signore: - A questo modo spezzerò il giogo di Nabucodonosor re di Babilonia passati due anni di tempo, d'in sul collo di tutte le genti -».
12 Then the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah the prophet, after that Hananiah the prophet had broken the yoke from off the neck of the prophet Jeremiah, saying,	12 E Geremia profeta prese la via e se ne andò. Dopo che il profeta Anania ebbe ridotto in pezzi le ritorte che stavano sul collo di Geremia profeta, la parola fu comunicata a Geremia dal Signore che gli disse:
13 Go and tell Hananiah, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Thou hast broken the yokes of wood; but thou shalt make for them yokes of iron.	13 «Va' e dirai ad Anania: - Così dice il Signore: "Le ritorte di legno hai spezzato, ma in loro vece tu hai fatto le ritorte di ferro!".
14 For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; I have put a yoke of iron upon the neck of all these nations, that they may serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; and they shall serve him: and I have given him the beasts of the field also.	14 Perchè, così dice il Signore degli eserciti, il Dio di Israele: "Un giogo di ferro ho posto sul collo di tutte coteste nazioni perchè servano Nabucodonosor, re di Babilonia e serve gli saranno, e di più, gli animali del campo a lui ho dato" -».
15 Then said the prophet Jeremiah unto Hananiah the prophet, Hear now, Hananiah; The LORD hath not sent thee; but thou makest this people to trust in a lie.	15 Poi Geremia profeta disse al profeta Anania: «Ascolta, o Anania, non è il Signore che ti ha mandato, e tu hai fatto credere questo popolo nella menzogna.
16 Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will cast thee from off the face of the earth: this year thou shalt die, because thou hast taught rebellion against the LORD.	16 Perciò, così dice il Signore: - Ecco ch'io ti darò lo sfratto dalla faccia della terra; quest'anno stesso morrai, perchè hai parlato contrariamente al Signore!».
17 So Hananiah the prophet died the same year in the seventh month.	17 E Anania morì in quello stesso anno, al settimo mese.
