Isaiah 66

KING JAMES BIBLE	JERUSALEM
1 Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?	1 Ainsi parle Yahvé: Le ciel est mon trône, et la terre l'escabeau de mes pieds. Quelle maison pourriez-vous me bâtir, et quel pourrait être le lieu de mon repos,
2 For all those things hath mine hand made, and those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.	2 quand tout cela, c'est ma main qui l'a fait, quand tout cela est à moi, oracle de Yahvé! Mais celui surqui je porte les yeux, c'est le pauvre et l'humilié, celui qui tremble à ma parole.
3 He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, as if he cut off a dog's neck; he that offereth an oblation, as if he offered swine's blood; he that burneth incense, as if he blessed an idol. Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations.	3 On sacrifie le boeuf, on abat un homme; on immole l'agneau, on assomme un chien; on présente uneoffrande, c'est du sang de porc; on fait un mémorial d'encens, une bénédiction abominable; tous ces gens ontchoisi leurs voies, et leur âme se complaît dans leurs horreurs.
4 I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.	4 Moi aussi, j'ai plaisir à me moquer d'eux, j'amènerai sur eux ce qu'ils redoutent, parce que j'ai appeléet nul n'a répondu, j'ai parlé et nul n'a entendu; ils ont fait ce qui est mal à mes yeux, ils ont pris plaisir à ce quime déplaît.
5 Hear the word of the LORD, ye that tremble at his word; your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name's sake, said, Let the LORD be glorified: but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed.	5 Ecoutez la parole de Yahvé, vous qui tremblez à sa parole. Ils ont dit, vos frères qui vous haïssent etvous rejettent à cause de mon nom: "Que Yahvé manifeste sa gloire, et que nous soyons témoins de votre joie",mais c'est eux qui seront confondus!
6 A voice of noise from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of the LORD that rendereth recompence to his enemies.	6 Une voix, une rumeur qui vient de la ville, une voix qui vient du sanctuaire, la voix de Yahvé qui paieleur salaire à ses ennemis.
7 Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child.	7 Avant d'être en travail elle a enfanté, avant que viennent les douleurs elle a accouché d'un garçon.
8 Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.	8 Qui a jamais entendu rien de tel? Qui a jamais vu chose pareille? Peut-on mettre au monde un pays enun jour? Enfante-t-on une nation en une fois? A peine était-elle en travail que Sion a enfanté ses fils.
9 Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? saith the LORD: shall I cause to bring forth, and shut the womb? saith thy God.	9 Ouvrirais-je le sein pour ne pas faire naître? Dit Yahvé. Si c'est moi qui fais naître, fermerai-je lesein? Dit ton Dieu.
10 Rejoice ye with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all ye that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn for her:	10 Réjouissez-vous avec Jérusalem, exultez en elle, vous tous qui l'aimez, soyez avec elle dansl'allégresse, vous tous qui avez pris le deuil sur elle,
11 That ye may suck, and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations; that ye may milk out, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.	11 afin que vous soyez allaités et rassasiés par son sein consolateur, afin que vous suciez avec délicessa mamelle plantureuse.
12 For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: then shall ye suck, ye shall be borne upon her sides, and be dandled upon her knees.	12 Car ainsi parle Yahvé: Voici que je fais couler vers elle la paix comme un fleuve, et comme untorrent débordant, la gloire des nations. Vous serez allaités, on vous portera sur la hanche, on vous caressera envous tenant les genoux.
13 As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.	13 Comme celui que sa mère console, moi aussi, je vous consolerai, à Jérusalem vous serez consolés.
14 And when ye see this, your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like an herb: and the hand of the LORD shall be known toward his servants, and his indignation toward his enemies.	14 A cette vue votre coeur sera dans la joie, et vos membres reprendront vigueur comme l'herbe; lamain de Yahvé se fera connaître à ses serviteurs et sa colère à ses ennemis.
15 For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.	15 Car voici que Yahvé arrive dans le feu, et ses chars sont comme l'ouragan, pour assouvir avec ardeursa colère et sa menace par des flammes de feu.
16 For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many.	16 Car par le feu, Yahvé se fait juge, par son épée, sur toute chair; nombreuses seront les victimes deYahvé.
17 They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one tree in the midst, eating swine's flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the LORD.	17 Ceux qui se sanctifient et se purifient pour entrer dans les jardins, derrière quelqu'un qui se tient aucentre, qui mangent de la chair de porc, des choses abominables et du rat, d'un même coup finiront, oracle deYahvé, leurs actions et leurs pensées.
18 For I know their works and their thoughts: it shall come, that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory.	18 Mais moi je viendrai rassembler toutes les nations et toutes les langues, et elles viendront voir magloire.
19 And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of them unto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal, and Javan, to the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the Gentiles.	19 Je mettrai chez elles un signe et j'enverrai de leurs survivants vers les nations: vers Tarsis, Put, Lud,Méshek, Tubal et Yavân, vers les îles éloignées qui n'ont pas entendu parler de moi, et qui n'ont pas vu magloire. Ils feront connaître ma gloire aux nations,
20 And they shall bring all your brethren for an offering unto the LORD out of all nations upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon swift beasts, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, saith the LORD, as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD.	20 et de toutes les nations ils ramèneront tous vos frères en offrande à Yahvé, sur des chevaux, en char,en litière, sur des mulets et des chameaux, à ma montagne sainte, Jérusalem, dit Yahvé, comme les enfantsd'Israël apportent les offrandes à la Maison de Yahvé dans des vases purs.
21 And I will also take of them for priests and for Levites, saith the LORD.	21 Et de certains d'entre eux je me ferai des prêtres, des lévites, dit Yahvé.
22 For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.	22 Car, de même que les cieux nouveaux et la terre nouvelle que je fais subsistent devant moi, oracle deYahvé, ainsi subsistera votre race et votre nom.
23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.	23 De nouvelle lune en nouvelle lune, et de sabbat en sabbat, toute chair viendra se prosterner devantma face, dit Yahvé.
24 And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.	24 Et on sortira pour voir les cadavres des hommes révoltés contre moi, car leur ver ne mourra pas etleur feu ne s'éteindra pas, ils seront en horreur à toute chair.
