KING JAMES BIBLENEW AMERICAN BIBLE
LORD, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me.1 A psalm of David, when he fled from his son Absalom.
Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.2 How many are my foes, LORD! How many rise against me!
But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.3 How many say of me, "God will not save that one." Selah
I cried unto the LORD with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah.4 But you, LORD, are a shield around me; my glory, you keep my head high.
I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me.5 Whenever I cried out to the LORD, I was answered from the holy mountain. Selah
I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about.6 Whenever I lay down and slept, the LORD preserved me to rise again.
Arise, O LORD; save me, O my God: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly.7 I do not fear, then, thousands of people arrayed against me on every side.
Salvation belongeth unto the LORD: thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah.8 Arise, LORD! Save me, my God! You will shatter the jaws of all my foes; you will break the teeth of the wicked.
Safety comes from the LORD! Your blessing for your people! Selah
