1 And the king Ahasuerus laid a tribute upon the land, and upon the isles of the sea.	1 POI il re Assuero impose un tributo alla terra ed alle isole del mare.
2 And all the acts of his power and of his might, and the declaration of the greatness of Mordecai, whereunto the king advanced him, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Media and Persia?	2 Ora, quant’è a tutti i fatti della sua potenza e forza; e alla dichiarazione della grandezza di Mardocheo, della quale quel re l’ingrandì; queste cose non son esse scritte nel libro delle Croniche dei re di Media e di Persia?
3 For Mordecai the Jew was next unto king Ahasuerus, and great among the Jews, and accepted of the multitude of his brethren, seeking the wealth of his people, and speaking peace to all his seed.	3 Perciocchè Mardocheo Giudeo fu la seconda persona dopo il re Assuero, e grande appo i Giudei, e grato alla moltitudine de’ suoi fratelli, procacciando il bene del suo popolo, e parlando amorevolmente a tutto il suo legnaggio
