2 Chronicles 30

KING JAMES BIBLE	JERUSALEM
1 And Hezekiah sent to all Israel and Judah, and wrote letters also to Ephraim and Manasseh, that they should come to the house of the LORD at Jerusalem, to keep the passover unto the LORD God of Israel.	1 Ezéchias envoya des messagers à tout Israël et Juda, et écrivit même des lettres à Ephraïm età Manassé, pour que l'on vienne au Temple de Yahvé à Jérusalem célébrer une Pâque pour Yahvé, le Dieud'Israël.
2 For the king had taken counsel, and his princes, and all the congregation in Jerusalem, to keep the passover in the second month.	2 Le roi, ses officiers et toute l'Assemblée de Jérusalem furent d'avis de la célébrer le secondmois
3 For they could not keep it at that time, because the priests had not sanctified themselves sufficiently, neither had the people gathered themselves together to Jerusalem.	3 puisqu'on ne pouvait plus la faire au moment même, les prêtres ne s'étant pas sanctifiés ennombre suffisant et le peuple ne s'étant pas rassemblé à Jérusalem.
4 And the thing pleased the king and all the congregation.	4 La chose parut juste au roi et à toute l'Assemblée.
5 So they established a decree to make proclamation throughout all Israel, from Beer-sheba even to Dan, that they should come to keep the passover unto the LORD God of Israel at Jerusalem: for they had not done it of a long time in such sort as it was written.	5 On décida de faire passer à travers tout Israël, de Bersabée à Dan, un appel à venir célébrer àJérusalem une Pâque pour Yahvé, Dieu d'Israël; peu, en effet s'étaient conformés à l'Ecriture.
6 So the posts went with the letters from the king and his princes throughout all Israel and Judah, and according to the commandment of the king, saying, Ye children of Israel, turn again unto the LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, and he will return to the remnant of you, that are escaped out of the hand of the kings of Assyria.	6 Des courriers partirent, avec des lettres de la main du roi et des officiers, dans tout Israël etJuda. Ils devaient dire, selon l'ordre du roi: "Israélites, revenez à Yahvé, le Dieu d'Abraham, d'Isaac et d'Israël, etil reviendra à ceux d'entre vous qui restent après avoir échappé à la poigne des rois d'Assyrie.
7 And be not ye like your fathers, and like your brethren, which trespassed against the LORD God of their fathers, who therefore gave them up to desolation, as ye see.	7 Ne soyez pas comme vos pères et vos frères qui ont prévariqué envers Yahvé, le Dieu deleurs pères, et ont été livrés par lui à la ruine comme vous le voyez.
8 Now be ye not stiffnecked, as your fathers were, but yield yourselves unto the LORD, and enter into his sanctuary, which he hath sanctified for ever: and serve the LORD your God, that the fierceness of his wrath may turn away from you.	8 Ne raidissez plus vos nuques comme l'ont fait vos pères. Soumettez-vous à Yahvé, venez àson sanctuaire qu'il a consacré pour toujours, servez Yahvé votre Dieu et il détournera de vous son ardentecolère.
9 For if ye turn again unto the LORD, your brethren and your children shall find compassion before them that lead them captive, so that they shall come again into this land: for the LORD your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if ye return unto him.	9 Si vous revenez vraiment à Yahvé, vos frères et vos fils trouveront grâce devant leursconquérants, ils reviendront en ce pays, car Yahvé votre Dieu est plein de pitié et de tendresse. Si vous revenez àlui, il ne détournera pas de vous sa face."
10 So the posts passed from city to city through the country of Ephraim and Manasseh even unto Zebulun: but they laughed them to scorn, and mocked them.	10 Les courriers parcoururent, de ville en ville, le pays d'Ephraïm et de Manassé, et même deZabulon, mais on se moqua d'eux et on les tourna en dérision.
11 Nevertheless divers of Asher and Manasseh and of Zebulun humbled themselves, and came to Jerusalem.	11 Toutefois, quelques hommes d'Asher, de Manassé et de Zabulon s'humilièrent et vinrent àJérusalem.
12 Also in Judah the hand of God was to give them one heart to do the commandment of the king and of the princes, by the word of the LORD.	12 C'est plutôt en Juda que la main de Dieu agit pour donner à tous un seul coeur, afind'exécuter les prescriptions du roi et des officiers contenues dans la Parole de Yahvé.
13 And there assembled at Jerusalem much people to keep the feast of unleavened bread in the second month, a very great congregation.	13 Un peuple nombreux se rassembla à Jérusalem pour célébrer au deuxième mois la fête desAzymes. Une assemblée extrêmement nombreuse
14 And they arose and took away the altars that were in Jerusalem, and all the altars for incense took they away, and cast them into the brook Kidron.	14 se mit à enlever les autels qui étaient dans Jérusalem et tous les brûle-parfums, pour les jeterdans la vallée du Cédron.
15 Then they killed the passover on the fourteenth day of the second month: and the priests and the Levites were ashamed, and sanctified themselves, and brought in the burnt offerings into the house of the LORD.	15 On immola la Pâque le quatorze du second mois. Pleins de confusion, les prêtres et leslévites se sanctifièrent et purent porter les holocaustes au Temple de Yahvé.
16 And they stood in their place after their manner, according to the law of Moses the man of God: the priests sprinkled the blood, which they received of the hand of the Levites.	16 Puis ils se tinrent à leur poste, conformément à leurs statuts selon la loi de Moïse, hommede Dieu. Les prêtres versaient le sang qu'ils prenaient de la main des lévites,
17 For there were many in the congregation that were not sanctified: therefore the Levites had the charge of the killing of the passovers for every one that was not clean, to sanctify them unto the LORD.	17 car il y avait beaucoup de gens dans l'Assemblée qui ne s'étaient pas sanctifiés et les lévitesétaient chargés d'immoler les victimes pascales au profit de ceux qui n'avaient pas la pureté requise pour lesconsacrer à Yahvé.
18 For a multitude of the people, even many of Ephraim, and Manasseh, Issachar, and Zebulun, had not cleansed themselves, yet did they eat the passover otherwise than it was written. But Hezekiah prayed for them, saying, The good LORD pardon every one	18 En effet, la majorité du peuple, beaucoup d'Ephraïmites, de Manassites, de fils d'Issachar etde Zabulon ne s'étaient pas purifiés; ils avaient mangé la Pâque sans se conformer à l'Ecriture. Mais Ezéchiaspria pour eux; il dit: "Que Yahvé dans sa bonté couvre la faute de
19 That prepareth his heart to seek God, the LORD God of his fathers, though he be not cleansed according to the purification of the sanctuary.	19 quiconque s'est disposé de coeur à chercher Dieu, Yahvé le Dieu de leurs pères, même s'iln'a pas la pureté requise pour les choses saintes!"
20 And the LORD hearkened to Hezekiah, and healed the people.	20 Yahvé exauça Ezéchias et laissa le peuple sain et sauf.
21 And the children of Israel that were present at Jerusalem kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days with great gladness: and the Levites and the priests praised the LORD day by day, singing with loud instruments unto the LORD.	21 Les Israélites qui se trouvaient à Jérusalem célébrèrent pendant sept jours, et en grande joie,la fête des Azymes, tandis que les lévites et les prêtres louaient chaque jour Yahvé de toutes leurs forces.
22 And Hezekiah spake comfortably unto all the Levites that taught the good knowledge of the LORD: and they did eat throughout the feast seven days, offering peace offerings, and making confession to the LORD God of their fathers.	22 Ezéchias encouragea les lévites qui avaient tous l'intelligence des choses de Yahvé, etpendant sept jours ils prirent part au festin de la solennité, célébrant les sacrifices de communion et louantYahvé, le Dieu de leurs pères.
23 And the whole assembly took counsel to keep other seven days: and they kept other seven days with gladness.	23 Puis toute l'Assemblée fut d'avis de célébrer sept autres jours de fête et ils en firent septjours de joie.
24 For Hezekiah king of Judah did give to the congregation a thousand bullocks and seven thousand sheep; and the princes gave to the congregation a thousand bullocks and ten thousand sheep: and a great number of priests sanctified themselves.	24 Car Ezéchias, roi de Juda, avait fait un prélèvement de mille taureaux et de 7.000 moutonspour l'Assemblée, et les officiers un autre de mille taureaux et de 10.000 moutons. Les prêtres se sanctifièrent enmasse,
25 And all the congregation of Judah, with the priests and the Levites, and all the congregation that came out of Israel, and the strangers that came out of the land of Israel, and that dwelt in Judah, rejoiced.	25 et toute l'Assemblée des Judéens se réjouit, ainsi que les prêtres, les lévites, toutel'Assemblée venue d'Israël; les réfugiés venus du pays d'Israël aussi bien que ceux qui habitaient en Juda.
26 So there was great joy in Jerusalem: for since the time of Solomon the son of David king of Israel there was not the like in Jerusalem.	26 Il y eut grande joie à Jérusalem, car depuis les jours de Salomon, fils de David, roi d'Israël,rien de semblable ne s'était produit à Jérusalem.
27 Then the priests the Levites arose and blessed the people: and their voice was heard, and their prayer came up to his holy dwelling place, even unto heaven.	27 Les prêtres lévites se mirent à bénir le peuple. Leur voix fut entendue et leur prière reçue enSa demeure sainte des cieux.
