2 Yahvé, notre Seigneur, qu'il est puissant ton nom par toute la terre! Lui qui redit ta majesté plushaute que les cieux	2 even through the mouths of children, or of babes in arms, you make him a fortress, firm against yourfoes, to subdue the enemy and the rebel.
3 par la bouche des enfants, des tout petits, tu l'établis, lieu fort, à cause de tes adversaires pour réduirel'ennemi et le rebelle.	3 I look up at your heavens, shaped by your fingers, at the moon and the stars you set firm-
4 A voir ton ciel, ouvrage de tes doigts, la lune et les étoiles, que tu fixas,	4 what are human beings that you spare a thought for them, or the child of Adam that you care for him?
5 qu'est donc le mortel, que tu t'en souviennes, le fils d'Adam, que tu le veuilles visiter?	5 Yet you have made him little less than a god, you have crowned him with glory and beauty,
6 A peine le fis-tu moindre qu'un dieu; tu le couronnes de gloire et de beauté,	6 made him lord of the works of your hands, put al things under his feet,
7 pour qu'il domine sur l'oeuvre de tes mains; tout fut mis par toi sous ses pieds,	7 sheep and cattle, all of them, and even the wild beasts,
8 brebis et boeufs, tous ensemble, et même les bêtes des champs,	8 birds in the sky, fish in the sea, when he makes his way across the ocean.
9 l'oiseau du ciel et les poissons de la mer, quand il va par les sentiers des mers.	9 Yahweh our Lord, how majestic your name throughout the world!
10 Yahvé, notre Seigneur, qu'il est puissant ton nom par toute la terre!
