1 Cantique des montées. De David. Sans Yahvé qui était pour nous -- à Israël de le dire --	1 A Canticle in steps. Those who trust in the Lord will be like the mountain of Zion. He will not be disturbed for eternity, who dwells
2 sans Yahvé qui était pour nous quand on sauta sur nous,	2 in Jerusalem. Mountains surround it. And the Lord surrounds his people, from this time forward and even forever.
3 alors ils nous avalaient tout vifs dans le feu de leur colère.	3 For the Lord will not allow the rod of sinners to remain over the lot of the just, so that the just may not extend their hands toward iniquity.
4 Alors les eaux nous submergeaient, le torrent passait sur nous,	4 Do good, O Lord, to the good and to the upright of heart.
5 alors il passait sur notre âme en eaux écumantes.	5 But those who turn away into obligation, the Lord will lead away with the workers of iniquity. Peace be upon Israel.
6 Béni Yahvé qui n'a point fait de nous la proie de leurs dents!
7 Notre âme comme un oiseau s'est échappée du filet de l'oiseleur. Le filet s'est rompu et nous avonséchappé;
8 notre secours est dans le nom de Yahvé qui a fait le ciel et la terre.
