1 And to the angel of the church of Sardis, write: These things saith he, that hath the seven spirits of God, and the seven stars: I know thy works, that thou hast the name of being alive: and thou art dead.	1 Ecris aussi à l'ange de l'Eglise de Sardes: Voici ce que dit Celui qui a les sept esprits de Dieu et les sept étoiles: Je connais tes oeuvres; tu passes pour être vivant, et tu es mort.
2 Be watchful and strengthen the things that remain, which are ready to die. For I find not thy works full before my God.	2 Sois vigilant, et affermis ce qui reste et qui est près de mourir; car Je ne trouve pas tes oeuvres pleines devant Mon Dieu.
3 Have in mind therefore in what manner thou hast received and heard: and observe, and do penance. If then thou shalt not watch, I will come to thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know at what hour I will come to thee.	3 Rappelle-toi donc comment tu as reçu et entendu; et retiens-le, et fais pénitence. Si donc tu n'es pas vigilant, Je viendrai à toi comme un voleur, et tu ne sauras pas à quelle heure Je viendrai à toi.
4 But thou hast a few names in Sardis, which have not defiled their garments: and they shall walk with me in white, because they are worthy.	4 Cependant tu as à Sardes un petit nombre de noms qui n'ont pas souillé leurs vêtements; ils marcheront avec Moi vêtus de blanc, parce qu'ils en sont dignes.
5 He that shall overcome, shall thus be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, and I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.	5 Celui qui vaincra sera ainsi vêtu d'habits blancs, et Je n'effacerai point son nom du livre de vie; et Je confesserai son nom devant Mon Père et devant Ses Anges.
6 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches.	6 Que celui qui a des oreilles entende ce que l'Esprit dit aux Eglises.
7 And to the angel of the church of Philadelphia, write: These things saith the Holy One and the true one, he that hath the key of David; he that openeth, and no man shutteth; shutteth, and no man openeth:	7 Ecris aussi à l'ange de l'Eglise de Philadelphie: Voici ce que dit le Saint et le Véritable, qui a la clef de David, qui ouvre et personne ne fermera, qui ferme et personne n'ouvrira.
8 I know thy works. Behold, I have given before thee a door opened, which no man can shut: because thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.	8 Je connais tes oeuvres; voici, J'ai mis devant toi une porte ouverte, que personne ne peut fermer, parce que tu as peu de force, et que tu as gardé Ma parole et n'as pas renié Mon nom.
9 Behold, I will bring of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie. Behold, I will make them to come and adore before thy feet. And they shall know that I have loved thee.	9 Voici, Je te donnerai de ceux qui sont de la synagogue de Satan, qui se disent Juifs et ne le sont point, mais qui mentent; voici, Je ferai qu'ils viennent et qu'ils se prosternent à tes pieds; et ils sauront que Je t'ai aimé.
10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I will also keep thee from the hour of the temptation, which shall come upon the whole world to try them that dwell upon the earth.	10 Parce que tu as gardé la parole de Ma patience, Moi aussi Je te garderai de l'heure de la tentation, qui va venir sur l'univers entier, pour éprouver les habitants de la terre.
11 Behold, I come quickly: hold fast that which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.	11 Voici, Je viens bientôt; retiens ce que tu as, afin que personne ne prenne ta couronne.
12 He that shall overcome, I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God; and he shall go out no more; and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God, and my new name.	12 Celui qui vaincra, Je ferai de lui une colonne dans le temple de Mon Dieu, et il n'en sortira plus; et J'écrirai sur lui le nom de Mon Dieu, et le nom de la ville de Mon Dieu, de la nouvelle Jérusalem, qui descend du Ciel d'auprès de Mon Dieu, et Mon nom nouveau.
13 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches.	13 Que celui qui a des oreilles entende ce que l'Esprit dit aux Eglises.
14 And to the angel of the church of Laodicea, write: These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, who is the beginning of the creation of God:	14 Ecris aussi à l'ange de l'Eglise de Laodicée: Voici ce que dit l'Amen, le témoin fidèle et véritable, le commencement de la création de Dieu:
15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold, nor hot. I would thou wert cold, or hot.	15 Je connais tes oeuvres, Je sais que tu n'est ni froid ni chaud. Ah! que n'es-tu froid ou chaud!
16 But because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold, not hot, I will begin to vomit thee out of my mouth.	16 Mais parce que tu es tiède, et que tu n'es ni froid ni chaud, Je vais te vomir de ma bouche.
17 Because thou sayest: I am rich, and made wealthy, and have need of nothing: and knowest not, that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked.	17 Car tu dis: Je suis riche, et je me suis enrichi, et je n'ai besoin de rien; et tu ne sais pas que tu es malheureux, et misérable, et pauvre, et aveugle, et nu.
18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold fire tried, that thou mayest be made rich; and mayest be clothed in white garments, and that the shame of thy nakedness may not appear; and anoint thy eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.	18 Je te conseille d'acheter de Moi de l'or éprouvé par le feu, afin que tu deviennes riche, et des vêtements blancs pour t'en couvrir, et que la honte de ta nudité ne paraisse point; oins aussi tes yeux d'un collyre, afin que tu voies.
19 Such as I love, I rebuke and chastise. Be zealous therefore, and do penance.	19 Ceux que J'aime, Je les reprends et les châtie; aie donc du zèle, et fais pénitence.
20 Behold, I stand at the gate, and knock. If any man shall hear my voice, and open to me the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.	20 Voici, Je me tiens à la porte, et Je frappe: si quelqu'un entend Ma voix et M'ouvre la porte, J'entrerai chez lui, et Je souperai avec lui, et lui avec Moi.
21 To him that shall overcome, I will give to sit with me in my throne: as I also have overcome, and am set down with my Father in his throne.	21 Celui qui vaincra, Je le ferai asseoir avec Moi sur Mon trône, de même que Moi aussi J'ai vaincu, et Me suis assis avec Mon Père sur Son trône.
22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches.	22 Que celui qui a des oreilles entende ce que l'Esprit dit aux Eglises.
