Revelation 13

1 And I saw a beast coming up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten diadems, and upon his heads names of blasphemy.	1 Und ich sah aus dem Meer ein Tier aufsteigen, das hatte zehn Hörner und sieben Köpfe und auf seinen Hörnern zehn Diademe und auf seinen Köpfen Namen voll Lästerung.
2 And the beast, which I saw, was like to a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion. And the dragon gave him his own strength, and great power.	2 Das Tier, das ich sah, glich einem Panther; seine Füße waren wie die eines Bären und sein Maul wie das Maul eines Löwen. Der Drache verlieh ihm seine Macht, seinen Thron und große Gewalt.
3 And I saw one of his heads as it were slain to death: and his death's wound was healed. And all the earth was in admiration after the beast.	3 Einen seiner Köpfe sah ich wie zu Tode getroffen, doch die tödliche Wunde wurde geheilt, und die ganze Erde wandte sich staunend dem Tiere zu.
4 And they adored the dragon, which gave power to the beast: and they adored the beast, saying: Who is like to the beast? and who shall be able to fight with him?	4 Sie beteten den Drachen an, weil er dem Tier die Gewalt verliehen hatte, und auch das Tier beteten sie an und sprachen: "Wer ist dem Tiere gleich, und wer vermag mit ihm zu kämpfen?"
5 And there was given to him a mouth speaking great things, and blasphemies: and power was given to him to do two and forty months.	5 Und es wurde ihm ein Maul gegeben, das große und lästernde Reden führte, und es wurde ihm Vollmacht gegeben, es zweiundvierzig Monate lang zu treiben.
6 And he opened his mouth unto blasphemies against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.	6 Und es öffnete sein Maul zu Lästerungen gegen Gott, zu lästern seinen Namen und seine Wohnstatt und die Bewohner des Himmels.
7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them. And power was given him over every tribe, and people, and tongue, and nation.	7 Und es wurde ihm gegeben, Krieg zu führen mit den Heiligen und sie zu besiegen, und es wurde ihm Macht gegeben über jeden Stamm und jedes Volk, jede Zunge und jede Nation,
8 And all the dwell upon the earth adored him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb, which was slain from the beginning of the world.	8 und anbeten werden es alle Bewohner der Erde, deren Name nicht eingeschrieben ist im Lebensbuch des geschlachteten Lammes seit Grundlegung der Welt.
9 If any man have an ear, let him hear.	9 Wer ein Ohr hat, der höre.
10 He that shall lead into captivity, shall go into captivity: he that shall kill by the sword, must be killed by the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.	10 Wer in die Gefangenschaft soll, der gehe in die Gefangenschaft; wer durch das Schwert sterben soll, der muß mit dem Schwert getötet werden. Hier zeigt sich die Standhaftigkeit und der Glaube der Heiligen.
11 And I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns, like a lamb, and he spoke as a dragon.	11 Und ich sah ein anderes Tier, das stieg aus dem Land empor; es hatte zwei Hörner wie ein Lamm und redete wie ein Drache.
12 And he executed all the power of the former beast in his sight; and he caused the earth, and them that dwell therein, to adore the first beast, whose wound to death was healed.	12 Es vollzieht alle Gewalt des ersten Tieres vor dessen Augen und bewirkt, daß die Erde und ihre Bewohner das erste Tier anbeten, dessen tödliche Wunde geheilt wurde.
13 And he did great signs, so that he made also fire to come down from heaven unto the earth in the sight of men.	13 Und es vollbringt große Zeichen, daß es sogar Feuer vom Himmel herabfallen läßt auf die Erde vor den Augen der Menschen.
14 And he seduced them that dwell on the earth, for the signs, which were given him to do in the sight of the beast, saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make the image of the beast, which had the wound by the sword, and lived.	14 Es verführt die Bewohner der Erde durch die Zeichen, die vor dem Tier zu vollbringen ihm gegeben wurde, und es fordert die Erdenbewohner auf, ein Bild zu fertigen für das Tier, das die Schwertwunde trägt und lebendig wurde.
15 And it was given him to give life to the image of the beast, and that the image of the beast should speak; and should cause, that whosoever will not adore the image of the beast, should be slain.	15 Und es wurde ihm gegeben, dem Bild des Tieres Lebensgeist zu verleihen, so daß das Bild des Tieres sogar redete und bewirkte, daß alle, die das Bild des Tieres nicht anbeteten, getötet wurden.
16 And he shall make all, both little and great, rich and poor, freemen and bondmen, to have a character in their right hand, or on their foreheads.	16 Und es brachte alle dazu, die Kleinen und die Großen, die Reichen und die Armen, die Freien und die Sklaven, sich ein Malzeichen zu machen auf ihrer rechten Hand oder auf ihrer Stirn.
17 And that no man might buy or sell, but he that hath the character, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.	17 Niemand soll kaufen oder verkaufen können, der nicht das Malzeichen trägt, den Namen des Tieres oder die Zahl seines Namens.
18 Here is wisdom. He that hath understanding, let him count the number of the beast. For it is the number of a man: and the number of him is six hundred sixty-six.	18 Hier ist die Einsicht: wer Verstand hat, der berechne die Zahl des Tieres; denn es ist eines Menschen Zahl, und seine Zahl ist sechshundertsechzig und sechs.
