1 And the lot of the sons of Joseph fell from the Jordan over against Jericho and the waters thereof, on the east: the wilderness which goeth up from Jericho to the mountain of Bethel:	1 La porzione poi che toccò in sorte a' figliuoli di Giuseppe fu dal Giordano che è dirimpetto a Gerico, e dalle acque della stessa Gerico, a levante fino al deserto che va da Gerico al monte Bethel:
2 And goeth out from Bethel to Luza: and passeth the border of Archi, to Ataroth,	2 E partendo da Bethel a Luza passa lungo i confini di Archi ad Atharoth:
3 And goeth down westward, by the border of Jephleti, unto the borders of Beth-horon the nether, and to Gazer :and the countries of it are ended by the great sea:	3 E va verso occidente lungo i confini di Jephlet, fino ai confini di Beth-horon la inferiore, e di Gazer: e la sua regione finisce al mar grande:
4 And Manasses and Ephraim the children of Joseph possessed it.	4 E la possederono i figliuoli di Giuseppe, Manasse ed Ephraim.
5 And the border of the children of Ephraim was according to their kindreds: and their possession towards the east was Ataroth-addar unto Beth-horon the upper.	5 E la porzione dei figliuoli di Ephraim divisi nelle loro famiglie, e la regione che possedettero verso oriente di Atharoth-Addar sino a Beth-horon la superiore.
6 And the confines go out unto the sea: but Machmethath looketh to the north, and it goeth round the borders eastward into Thanath-selo: and passeth along on the east side to Janoe.	6 E i suoi confini vanno al mare. Machmethath guarda a settentrione, e i confini girano verso levante a Thanathselo, e passano all'oriente di Janoe:
7 And it goeth down from Janoe into Ataroth and Naaratha: and it cometh to Jericho, and goeth out to the Jordan.	7 E da Janoe scendono fino ad Atharoth, e a Naaratha: arrivano a Gerico, e finiscono al Giordano.
8 From Taphua it passeth on towards the sea into the valley of reeds, and the goings out thereof are at the most salt sea. This is the possession of the tribe of the children of Ephraim by their families.	8 Da Taphua vanno verso il mare alla valle del canneto, e finiscono al mare salato. Questa è la porzione posseduta dalla tribù de' figliuoli di Ephraim famiglia per famiglia.
9 And there were cities with their villages separated for the children of Ephraim in the midst of the possession of the children of Manasses.	9 E furono assegnate a' figliuoli di Ephraim delle città co' loro villaggi, le quali erano dentro la linea della porzione di Manasse.
10 And the children of Ephraim slew not the Chanaanite, who dwelt in Gazer: and the Chanaanite dwelt in the midst of Ephraim until this day, paying tribute.	10 Ma i figliuoli di Ephraim non distrusseso i Cananei che abitavano in Gazer: e i Cananei son rimasi fino al di d'oggi in mezzo ad Ephraim suoi tributarii.
