1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,	1 Paulo, servo de Jesus Cristo, chamado ao apostolado, escolhido para (anunciar) o Evangelho de Deus,
2 Which he had promised before, by his prophets, in the holy scriptures,	2 o qual (Evangelho) tinha (Deus) prometido antes pelos seus profetas nas Santas Escrituras,
3 Concerning his Son, who was made to him of the seed of David, according to the flesh,	3 acerca do seu Filho, que nasceu da posteridade de David, segundo a carne,
4 Who was predestinated the Son of God in power, according to the spirit of sanctification, by the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ from the dead;	4 estabelecido no seu poder de Filho de Deus, segundo o seu espírito de santidade, a partir da sua ressurreição dentre os mortos, Jesus Cristo Senhor Nosso,
5 By whom we have received grace and apostleship for obedience to the faith, in all nations, for his name;	5 pelo qual recebemos a graça e o apostolado, para que obedeçam em seu nome à fé todos os gentios,
6 Among whom are you also the called of Jesus Christ:	6 entre os quais também estais vós, os chamados de Jesus Cristo,
7 To all that are at Rome, the beloved of God, called to be saints. Grace to you, and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.	7 a todos os que estão em Roma, queridos de Deus, chamados a ser santos: Graça vos seja dada, e paz da parte de Deus, nosso Pai, e da do Senhor Jesus Cristo.
8 First I give thanks to my God, through Jesus Christ, for you all, because your faith is spoken of in the whole world.	8 Primeiramente dou graças ao meu Deus, por Jesus Cristo, em nome de todos vós, porque a vossa fé é celebrada em todo o mundo.
9 For God is my witness, whom I serve in my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make a commemoration of you;	9 O Deus, a quem sirvo em meu espírito anunciando o Evangelho de seu Filho, me é testemunha de que incessantemente faço menção de vós,
10 Always in my prayers making request, if by any means now at length I may have a prosperous journey, by the will of God, to come unto you.	10 rogando-lhe sempre nas minhas orações que se abra enfim, alguma vez, querendo Deus, um caminho favorável para ir ter convosco.
11 For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual grace, to strengthen you:	11 Porque desejo ver-vos, a fim de vos comunicar alguma graça espiritual, para vos confirmar,
12 That is to say, that I may be comforted together in you, by that which is common to us both, your faith and mine.	12 isto é, para me consolar juntamente convosco por esta fé que nos é comum a mim e a vós.
13 And I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that I have often purposed to come unto you, (and have been hindered hitherto,) that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among other Gentiles.	13 Não quero que vós, irmãos, ignoreis que muitas vezes tenho proposto ir ter convosco, mas tenho sido impedido até agora, para colher algum fruto entre vós, como entre as outras nações.
14 To the Greeks and to the barbarians, to the wise and to the unwise, I am a debtor;	14 Eu sou devedor aos Gregos e aos bárbaros, aos sábios e aos ignorantes;
15 So (as much as is in me) I am ready to preach the gospel to you also that are at Rome.	15 donde o meu desejo de anunciar o Evangelho também a vós, que estais em Roma.
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel. For it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth, to the Jew first, and to the Greek.	16 Com efeito eu não me envergonho do Evangelho, porque é a virtude de Deus para dar a salvação a todo o crente, primeiro ao judeu, e depois ao grego.
17 For the justice of God is revealed therein, from faith unto faith, as it is written: The just man liveth by faith.	17 A justiça de Deus manifesta-se nele, indo da fé para a fé, como está escrito: O justo vive da fé (Hc. 2, 4).
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and injustice of those men that detain the truth of God in injustice:	18 Com efeito a ira de Deus manifesta-se do céu contra toda a impiedade e injustiça daqueles homens que retêm a verdade de Deus cativa da injustiça,
19 Because that which is known of God is manifest in them. For God hath manifested it unto them.	19 porque o que se pode conhecer de Deus, é-Ihes manifesto, pois Deus Iho manifestou.
20 For the invisible things of him, from the creation of the world, are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made; his eternal power also, and divinity: so that they are inexcusable.	20 De fato, as coisas invisíveis dele, isto é, o seu poder eterno e a sua divindade, depois da criação do mundo, compreendendo-se pelas coisas feitas, tornaram-se visíveis, de modo que são inexcusáveis,
21 Because that, when they knew God, they have not glorified him as God, or given thanks; but became vain in their thoughts, and their foolish heart was darkened.	21 porque, tendo conhecido a Deus, não o glorificaram como Deus, nem lhe deram graças, mas desvaneceram-se nos seus pensamentos, e obscureceu- se o seu coração insensato,
22 For professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.	22 pois, dizendo ser sábios, tornaram-se estultos
23 And they changed the glory of the incorruptible God into the likeness of the image of a corruptible man, and of birds, and of fourfooted beasts, and of creeping things.	23 e mudaram a glória de Deus incorruptível na figura de um simulacro de homem corruptível, de aves, de quadrúpedes e de répteis.
24 Wherefore God gave them up to the desires of their heart, unto uncleanness, to dishonour their own bodies among themselves.	24 Pelo que Deus os abandonou aos desejos do seu coração, à imundície, de modo que desonraram os seus próprios corpos,
25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie; and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.	25 eles que trocaram a verdade de Deus pela mentira e que adoraram e serviram a criatura de preferência ao Criador, que é bendito por todos os séculos. Amém.
26 For this cause God delivered them up to shameful affections. For their women have changed the natural use into that use which is against nature.	26 Por isso Deus entregou-os a paixões de ignomínia. Efetivamente, as suas próprias mulheres mudaram o uso natural em uso contra a natureza,
27 And, in like manner, the men also, leaving the natural use of the women, have burned in their lusts one towards another, men with men working that which is filthy, and receiving in themselves the recompense which was due to their error.	27 e, do mesmo modo, também os homens, deixando o uso natural da mulher, arderam nos seus desejos mutuamente, cometendo homens com homens a torpeza e recebendo em si mesmos a paga que era devida ao seu desregramento.
28 And as they liked not to have God in their knowledge, God delivered them up to a reprobate sense, to do those things which are not convenient;	28 E, como não procuraram conhecer a Deus, Deus abandonou-os a um sentimento depravado, que os levou a fazer o que não convém,
29 Being filled with all iniquity, malice, fornication, avarice, wickedness, full of envy, murder, contention, deceit, malignity, whisperers,	29 cheios de toda a iniquidade, de malícia, de avareza, de maldade, cheios de inveja, de homicídios, de contendas, de engano, de malignidade, mexeriqueiros,
30 Detractors, hateful to God, contumelious, proud, haughty, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,	30 detratores, odiados por Deus, injuriadores, soberbos, altivos, inventores de maldades, desobedientes aos pais,
31 Foolish, dissolute, without affection, without fidelity, without mercy.	31 insensatos, sem lealdade, sem afeto, sem lei, sem misericórdia.
32 Who, having known the justice of God, did not understand that they who do such things, are worthy of death; and not only they that do them, but they also that consent to them that do them.	32 Os quais, conhecedores da justiça de Deus, sabendo que os que fazem tais coisas são dignos de morte, não somente as fazem mas também aprovam aqueles que as fazem.
