1 But at that time shall Michael rise up, the great prince, who standeth for the children of thy people: and a time shall come such as never was from the time that nations began even until that time. And at that time shall thy people be saved, every one that shall be found written in the book.	1 Nesse tempo se levantará Miguel, o grande príncipe, protector dos filhos do teu povo. Será um tempo de tal angústia, qual não houve desde que os povos começaram a existir até então. Nesse tempo o teu povo será salvo; (sê-lo-á) todo aquele que estiver inscrito no livro (da vida).
2 And many of those that sleep in the dust of the earth, shall awake: some unto life everlasting, and others unto reproach, to see it always.	2 Muitos dos que dormem no pó da terra acordarão, uns para a vida eterna, e outros para a vergonha, o horror eterno.
3 But they that are learned shall shine as the brightness of the firmament: and they that instruct many to justice, as stars for all eternity.	3 Aqueles que tiverem sido doutos, resplandecerão como a luz do firmamento ; e os que tiverem ensinado a muitos o caminho da justiça, brilharão como as estrelas por toda a eternidade.
4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time appointed: many shall pass over, and knowledge shall be manifold.	4 Tu, porém, Daniel, conserva guardadas estas palavras e sela o livro até ao tempo do fim ; muitos o passarão pelos olhos e acrescentarão a sua ciência.
5 And I Daniel looked, and behold as it were two others stood: one on this side upon the bank of the river, and another on that side, on the other bank of the river.	5 Então eu, Daniel, olhei e vi que estavam em pé outros dois homens; um, duma parte sobre a margem do rio, e outro, da outra parte sobre a outra margem do mesmo rio.
6 And I said to the man that was clothed In linen, that stood upon the waters of the river: How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?	6 um deles disse ao homem que estava vestido de roupas de linho, o qual se sustinha em pé sobre as águas do rio : Quando se cumprirão estas coisas extraordinárias?
7 And I heard the man that was clothed in linen, that stood upon the waters of the river: when he had lifted up his right hand, and his left hand to heaven, and had sworn, by him that liveth for ever, that it should be unto a time, and times, and half a time. And when the scattering of the band of the holy people shall be accomplished, all these things shall be finished.	7 E ouvi o homem, vestido de roupas de linho, o qual se sustinha em pé sobre as águas do rio; tendo levantado ao céu a mão direita e a mão esquerda, jurou por aquele (Senhor) que vive eternamente, que isso seria depois dum tempo; (dois) tempos e metade dum tempo, que todas estas coisas se cumpririam, quando acabasse de ser despedaçada a força do povo santo.
8 And I heard, and understood not. And I said: O my lord, what shall be after these things?	8 Ouvi (o que ele dizia), mas não o entendi, e disse: Meu Senhor, qual será o fim de tudo isto?
9 And he said: Go, Daniel, because the words are shut up, and sealed until the appointed time.	9 Respondeu: Vai, Daniel, porque estas palavras estão fechadas e seladas até ao tempo do fim.
10 Many shall be chosen, and made white, and shall be tried as fire: and the wicked shall deal wickedly, and none of the wicked shall understand, but the learned shall understand.	10 Muitos serão purificados, branqueados e provados; os ímpios procederão impiamente, e nenhum ímpio compreenderá, mas os sábios compreenderão.
11 And from the time when the continual sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination unto desolation shall be set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred ninety days,	11 Desde o tempo em que o sacrifício perpétuo for abolido, e a abominação da desolação for estabelecida (no templo), passarão mil e duzentos e noventa dias.
12 Blessed is he that waiteth and cometh unto a thousand three hundred thirty-five days.	12 Bem-aventurado o que esperar e chegar até mil e trezentos e trinta e cinco dias!
13 But go thou thy ways until the time appointed: and thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot unto the end of the days.	13 Tu vai até ao fim e (depois) descansa; levantar-te-ás para (receber) a tua porção no fim dos dias.Até aqui (diz S.
