Leviticus 1

1 And the Lord called Moses, and spoke to him from the tabernacle of the testimony, saying:	1 Der Herr berief den Moses und redete zu ihm vom Offenbarungszelte aus:
2 Speak to the children of Israel, and thou shalt say to them: The man among you that shall offer to the Lord a sacrifice of the cattle, that is, offering victims of oxen and sheep,	2 "Sprich zu den Israeliten und sage zu ihnen: Will jemand unter euch dem Herrn eine Opfergabe von seinem Vieh darbringen, so sollt ihr sie nehmen!
3 If his offering be a holocaust, and of the herd, he shall offer a male without blemish, at the door of the testimony, to make the Lord favourable to him:	3 Bringt er seine Opfergabe als Brandopfer von Rindern dar, so soll es ein männliches Tier ohne Fell sein; er bringe es zum Eingang des Offenbarungszeltes; es soll ihn vor dem Herrn wohlgefällig machen.
4 And he shall put his hand upon the head of the victim, and it shall be acceptable, and help to its expiation.	4 Danach lege er seine Hand auf den Kopf des Brandopfers; das wird ihm Wohlgefallen und Sühne schaffen.
5 And he shall immolate the calf before the Lord, and the priests the sons of Aaron shall offer the blood thereof, pouring it round about the altar, which is before the door of the tabernacle.	5 Hierauf soll er das junge Rind vor dem Herrn schlachten; die Söhne Aarons aber, die Priester, sollen das Blut darbringen und es ringsum an den Altar sprengen, der am Eingang des Offenbarungszeltes steht.
6 And when they have flayed the victim, they shall cut the joints into pieces,	6 Dann soll er das Brandopfer abhäuten und in seine Teile zerlegen.
7 And shall put fire on the altar, having before laid in order a pile of wood:	7 Die Söhne Aarons aber, die Priester, sollen Feuer auf den Altar bringen und Holzscheite darauf schichten.
8 And they shall lay the parts that are cut out in order thereupon, to wit, the head, and all things that cleave to the liver,	8 Danach sollen die Söhne Aarons die Stücke mit dem Kopf und dem Nierenfett auf der Holzschicht über dem Feuer auf dem Altar zurechtlegen.
9 The entrails and feet being washed with water: and the priest shall burn them upon the altar for a holocaust, and a sweet savour to the Lord.	9 Eingeweide und Unterschenkel des Rindes wasche er mit Wasser; der Priester aber lasse das Ganze auf dem Altar in Rauch aufgehen, damit es ein Brandopfer sei, ein Feueropfer lieblichen Wohlgeruchs für den Herrn.
10 And if the offering be of the hocks, a holocaust of sheep or of goats, he shall offer a male without blemish:	10 Soll aber die Opfergabe, die jemand als Brandopfer darbringen will, ein Stück Kleinvieh sein, von Jungwiddern oder Ziegen, so bringe er ein männliches Tier ohne Fehler dar.
11 And he shall immolate it at the side of the altar that looketh to the north, before the Lord: but the sons of Aaron shall pour the blood thereof upon the altar round about:	11 Er schlachte es auf der Nordseite des Altars vor dem Herrn; die Söhne Aarons aber, die Priester, sprengen sein Blut an den Altar ringsum.
12 And they shall divide the joints, the head, and all that cleave to the liver: and shall lay them upon the wood, under which the fire is to be put:	12 Sodann soll er es in seine Teile zerlegen, der Priester soll sie mit Kopf und Nierenfett auf den Holzscheiten zurechtlegen über dem Feuer auf dem Altar.
13 But the entrails and the feet they shall wash with water. And the priest shall offer it all and burn it all upon the altar for a holocaust, and most sweet savour to the Lord.	13 Die Eingeweide aber und die Unterschenkel möge er mit Wasser waschen; der Priester soll alles zusammen darbringen und es auf dem Altar in Rauch aufgehen lassen; ein Brandopfer sei es, ein Feueropfer lieblichen Wohlgeruchs für den Herrn.
14 But if the oblation of a holocaust to the Lord be of birds, of turtles, or of young pigeons,	14 Bringt jemand dem Herrn ein Opfer als Geflügelopfer dar, so soll er dazu Turteltauben oder junge Tauben als Gabe nehmen.
15 The priest shall offer it at the altar: and twisting back the neck, and breaking the place of the wound, he shall make the blood run down upon the brim of the altar.	15 Der Priester aber soll das Tier zum Altar bringen, ihm den Kopf abknicken und es auf dem Altar in Rauch aufgehen lassen. Sein Blut aber soll an der Wand des Altares ausgedrückt werden.
16 But the crop of the throat, and the feathers he shall cast beside the altar at the east side, in the place where the ashes are wont to be poured out,	16 Dann soll er den Kropf mit seinem Gewölle entfernen und ihn östlich vom Altar auf den Aschenplatz werfen.
17 And he shall break the pinions thereof, and shall not cut, nor divide it with a knife, and shall burn it upon the altar, putting fire under the wood. It is a holocaust and oblation of most sweet savour to the Lord.	17 Die Flügel soll er ihm einreißen, sie aber nicht ganz abtrennen; der Priester lasse sie auf dem Altar in Rauch aufgehen auf den Holzscheiten über dem Feuer; ein Brandopfer ist es, ein Feueropfer lieblichen Wohlgeruchs für den Herrn.
