1 The burden of Moab. Because in the night Ar of Moab is laid waste, it is silent: because the wall of Moab is destroyed in the night, it is silent.	1 Oráculo contra Moab. Sim, atacada de noite, Ar-Moab foi destruída! Sim, atacada de noite, Kir-Moab foi destruída.
2 The house is gone up, and Dibon to the high places to mourn over Nabo, and over Medaba, Moab hath howled: ton all their heads shall be baldness, and every beard shall be shaven.	2 O povo de Dimon subiu aos altos para público, chorar sobre Nebo e sobre Medaba. Moab lamentou-se, todas as suas cabeças estão rapadas, e toda a barba está cortada.
3 In their streets they are girded with sackcloth: on the tops of their houses, and in their streets all shall howl and come down weeping.	3 Andam pelas suas ruas vestidos de saco; sobre os seus telhados e nas suas praças, sòmente se ouvem lamentos acompanhados de lágrimas.
4 Hesebon shall cry, and Eleale, their voice is heard even to Jasa. For this shall the well appointed men of Moab howl, his soul shall howl to itself.	4 Gritam Hesebon e Eleale; até Jahas foi ouvida a sua voz. À vista disto lamentam-se os próprios guerreiros de Moab, a sua alma trepida.
5 My heart shall cry to Moab, the bars thereof shall flee unto Segor a heifer of three years old: for by the ascent of Luith they shall go up weeping: and in the way of Oronaim they shall lift up a cry of destruction.	5 O coração de Moab solta gritos; os seus fugitivos estão já em Soar, em Eglath-Chelichia. Pela colina de Luit subirá cada um chorando, e pelo caminho de Oronaim irão dando gritos de aflição.
6 For the waters of Nemrim shall be desolate, for the grass is withered away, the spring is faded, all the greenness is perished.	6 As águas de Nimrim extinguiram-se, secou-se a erva, não se vingou a vegetação, pereceu toda a verdura.
7 According to the greatness of their work, is their visitation also: they shall lead them to the torrent of the willows.	7 Os seus bens e as suas provisões levem-nos (os inimigos) para o outro lado da torrente dos Salgueiros.
8 For the cry is gone round about the border of Moab: the howling thereof unto Gallim, and unto the well of Elim the cry thereof.	8 Os gritos ouviram-se à volta pelos confins de Moab; chegaram até Galim os seus lamentos, e até ao poço de Elim os seus clamores.
9 For the waters of Dibon are filled with blood: for I will bring more upon Dibon: the lion upon them that shall flee of Moab, and upon the remnant of the land.	9 Porque ficaram cheias de sangue (de Moabitas) as águas de Dimon, pois enviarei sobre Dimon mais desgraças, um leão contra aqueles Moab que escaparem, contra os sobreviventes do país.
