1 Unto the end, for Maeleth, understandings to David. The fool said in his hear t: There is no God.	1 Pour la fin, sur Maéleth, instruction de David. L'insensé a dit dans son coeur: * Il n'y a point de Dieu.
2 They are corrupted, and become abominable in iniquities: there is none that doth good.	2 Ils se sont corrompus et sont devenus abominables dans leurs iniquités: * il n'y en a point qui fasse le bien.
3 God looked down from heaven on the children of men: to see if there were any that did understand, or did seek God.	3 Dieu a regardé du haut du Ciel sur les enfants des hommes, * pour voir s'il y a quelqu'un qui soit intelligent et qui cherche Dieu.
4 All have gone aside, they are become unprofitable together, there is none that doth good, no not one.	4 Tous se sont détournés, ils sont tous devenus inutiles; * il n'y en a point qui fasse le bien, il n'y en a pas un seul.
5 Shall not all the workers of iniquity know, who eat up my people as they eat bread?	5 Ne comprendront-ils pas, tous ces hommes qui commettent l'iniquité, * qui dévorent Mon peuple comme un morceau de pain?
6 They have not called upon God: there have they trembled for fear, where there was no fear. For God hath scattered the bones of them that please men: they have been confounded, because God hath despised them.	6 Ils n'ont pas invoqué Dieu; * ils ont tremblé de frayeur là où il n'y avait rien à craindre. Car Dieu a brisé les os de ceux qui cherchent à plaire aux hommes; * ils ont été confondus, parce que Dieu les a méprisés.
7 Who will give out of Sion the salvation of Israel? when God shall bring back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.	7 Qui procurera de Sion le salut d'Israël? * Quand Dieu aura mis fin à la captivité de Son peuple, Jacob sera dans l'allégresse et Israël dans la joie.
