Psalms 128

1 Unless the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it. Unless the Lord keep the city, he watcheth in vain that keepeth it.	1 Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways.
2 It is vain for you to rise before light, rise ye after you have sitten, you that eat the bread of sorrow. When he shall give sleep to his beloved,	2 For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.
3 behold the inheritance of the Lord are children: the reward, the fruit of the womb.	3 Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table.
4 As arrows in the hand of the mighty, so the children of them that have been shaken.	4 Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the LORD.
5 Blessed is the man that hath filled the desire with them; he shall not be confounded when he shall speak to his enemies in the gate.	5 The LORD shall bless thee out of Zion: and thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.
	6 Yea, thou shalt see thy children's children, and peace upon Israel.
