1 But Job answered, and said:	1 Ο δε Ιωβ απεκριθη και ειπεν?
2 O that my sins, whereby I have deserved wrath, and the calamity that I suffer, were weighed in a balance.	2 Ειθε να εζυγιζετο τωοντι η λυπη μου, και η συμφορα μου να ετιθετο ολη ομου εν τη πλαστιγγι.
3 As the sand of the sea this would appear heavier: therefore my words are full of sorrow :	3 Επειδη τωρα ηθελεν εισθαι βαρυτερα υπερ την αμμον της θαλασσης? δια τουτο οι λογοι μου καταπινονται.
4 For the arrows of the Lord are in me, the rage whereof drinketh up my spirit, and the terrors of the Lord war against me.	4 Διοτι τα βελη του Παντοδυναμου ειναι εντος μου, των οποιων το φαρμακιον εκπινει το πνευμα μου? οι τρομοι του Θεου παραταττονται εναντιον μου.
5 Will the wild ass bray when he hath grass? or will the ox low when he standeth before a full manger?	5 Ογκαται ο αγριος ονος παρα τη χλοη; η μυκαται ο βους παρα τη φατνη αυτου;
6 Or can an unsavoury thing be eaten, that is not seasoned with salt? or can a man taste that which when tasted bringeth death?	6 Τρωγεται το ανοστον χωρις αλατος; η υπαρχει γευσις εν τω λευκωματι του ωου;
7 The things which before my soul would not touch, now, through anguish are my meats.	7 Τα πραγματα, τα οποια η ψυχη μου απεστρεφετο να εγγιση, εγειναν ως το αηδες φαγητον μου.
8 Who will grant that my request may come: and that God may give me what I look for?	8 Ειθε να απελαμβανον την αιτησιν μου, και να μοι εδιδεν ο Θεος την Επιθυμιαν μου.
9 And that he that hath begun may destroy me, that he may let loose his hand, and cut me off?	9 Και να ηθελεν ευδοκησει ο Θεος να με αφανιση? να απολυση την χειρα αυτου και να με κοψη.
10 And that this may be my comfort, that afflicting me with sorrow, he spare not, nor I contradict the words of the Holy One.	10 Και θελει εισθαι ετι η παρηγορια μου, οτι, και αν καταναλωθω εν τη θλιψει και αυτος δεν με λυπηθη, εγω δεν εκρυψα τους λογους του Αγιου.
11 For what is my strength, that I can hold out? or what is my end that I should keep patience?	11 Ποια η δυναμις μου, ωστε να εγκαρτερω; και ποιον το τελος μου, ωστε να υποφερη η ψυχη μου;
12 My strength is not the strength of stones, nor is my flesh of brass.	12 Μηπως η δυναμις μου ειναι δυναμις λιθων; η η σαρξ μου χαλκος;
13 Behold there is no help for me in myself, and my familiar friends also are departed from me.	13 Μηπως δεν εξελιπεν εν εμοι η βοηθεια μου και απεμακρυνθη απ' εμου η σωτηρια;
14 He that taketh away mercy from his friend, forsaketh the fear of the Lord.	14 Εις τον τεθλιμμενον ελεος πρεπει παρα του φιλου αυτου? αλλ' αυτος εγκατελιπε τον φοβον του Παντοδυναμου.
15 My brethren have passed by me, as the torrent that passeth swiftly in the valleys.	15 Οι αδελφοι μου εφερθησαν απατηλως ως χειμαρρος, ως ρευμα χειμαρρων παρηλθον?
16 They that fear the hoary frost, the snow shall fall upon them.	16 οιτινες θολονονται εκ του παγου, εις τους οποιους διαλυεται η χιων?
17 At the time when they shall be scattered they shall perish: and after it groweth hot they shall be melted out of their place.	17 οταν θερμανθωσιν, εκλειπουσιν? οταν γεινη θερμοτης, εξαλειφονται απο του τοπου αυτων.
18 The paths of their steps are entangled: they shall walk in vain, and shall perish.	18 Τα ιχνη της πορειας αυτων συστρεφονται? καταντωσιν εις το μηδεν και χανονται?
19 Consider the paths of Thema, the ways of Saba, and wait a little while.	19 τα πληθη της Θαιμα εθεωρουν, οι συνοδοιποροι της Σεβα περιεμενον αυτους?
20 They are confounded, because I have hoped: they are come also even unto me, and are covered with shame.	20 Εψευσθησαν της ελπιδος αυτων? ηλθον εκει και ενετραπησαν.
21 Now you are come: and now seeing my affliction you are afraid.	21 Τωρα και σεις εισθε ως αυτοι? ειδετε την πληγην μου και ετρομαξατε.
22 Did I say: Bring to me, and give me of your substance?	22 Μηπως εγω ειπα, Φερετε προς εμε; η, Δοτε δωρον εις εμε απο της περιουσιας υμων;
23 Or deliver me from the hand of the enemy, and rescue me out of the hand of the mighty?	23 η, Ελευθερωσατε με εκ της χειρος του εχθρου; η, Λυτρωσατε με εκ της χειρος των ισχυρων;
24 Teach me, and I will hold my peace: and if I have been ignorant in any thing, instruct me.	24 Διδαξατε με, και εγω θελω σιωπησει? και δειξατε μοι κατα τι εσφαλα.
25 Why have you detracted the words of truth, whereas there is none of you that can reprove me?	25 Ποσον ισχυροι ειναι οι ορθοι λογοι? αλλ' ο ελεγχος σας, τι αποδεικνυει;
26 You dress up speeches only to rebuke, and you utter words to the wind.	26 Φανταζεσθε να ελεγξητε λογους, ενω αι ομιλιαι του απηλπισμενου ειναι ως ανεμος;
27 You rush in upon the fatherless, and you endeavour to overthrow your friend.	27 Τωοντι, σεις επιπιπτετε επι τον ορφανον, και σκαπτετε λακκον εις τον φιλον σας.
28 However finish what you have begun, give ear, and see whether I lie.	28 Τωρα λοιπον ευαρεστηθητε να εμβλεψητε εις εμε, διοτι εμπροσθεν υμων κειται αν εγω ψευδωμαι.
29 Answer, I beseech you, without contention: and speaking that which is just, judge ye.	29 Επιστρεψατε, παρακαλω? ας μη γεινη αδικια? ναι, επιστρεψατε παλιν? η δικαιοσυνη μου ειναι εν τουτω.
30 And you shall not And iniquity in my tongue, neither shall folly sound in my mouth.	30 Υπαρχει αδικια εν τη γλωσση μου; δεν δυναται ο ουρανισκος μου να διακρινη τα διεφθαρμενα;
