1 Now these were the divisions of the sons of Aaron: The sons of Aaron: Nadab, and Abiu, and Eleazar, and Ithamar.	1 Anche i figli di Aronne avevano le loro classi. Figli di Aronne furono Nadab, Abihu, Eleazaro e Itamar.
2 But Nadab and Abiu died before their father, and had no children: so Eleazar, and Ithamar did the office of the priesthood.	2 Nadab e Abihu morirono prima del padre, senza avere figli; perciò il sacerdozio fu esercitato solo da Eleazaro e da Itamar.
3 And David distributed them, that is, Sadoc of the sons of Eleazar, and Ahimelech of the sons of Ithamar, according to their courses and ministry.	3 David, insieme con Zadok dei figli di Eleazaro e Akhimelech dei figli di Itamar, li divise nel loro servizio secondo il loro elenco.
4 And there were found many more of the sons of Eleazar among the principal men, than of the sons of Ithamar. And he divided them so, that there were of the sons of Eleazar, sixteen chief men by their families: and of the sons of Ithamar eight by their families and houses.	4 Risultò che i figli di Eleazaro avevano più capi di uomini che non i figli di Itamar; essi vennero perciò suddivisi in questo modo: per i figli di Eleazaro ci furono sedici capicasata mentre per i figli di Itamar ci furono otto casate.
5 And he divided both the families one with the other by lot: for there were princes of the sanctuary, and princes of God, both of the sons of Eleazar, and of the sons of Ithamar.	5 Gli uni e gli altri furono classificati mediante la sorte; tra i figli di Eleazaro infatti come tra i figli di Itamar C'erano capi del santuario e capi di Dio.
6 And Semeias the son of Nathanael the scribe a Levite, wrote them down before the king and the princes, and Sadoc the priest, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, and the princes also of the priestly and Levitical families: one house, which was over the rest, of Eleazar: and another house, which had the rest under it, of Ithamar.	6 Lo scriba Shemaia figlio di Netaneel, un Levita, li iscrisse alla presenza del re, dei capi, di Zadok il sacerdote e di Akhimelech figlio di Ebiatar, dei capicasata, dei sacerdoti e dei Leviti; mentre veniva sorteggiata rispettivamente una casata di Eleazaro e di Itamar.
7 Now the first lot came forth to Joiarib, the second to Jedei,	7 La prima sorte cadde su Joiarib, la seconda su Jedaia,
8 The third to Harim, the fourth to Seorim,	8 la terza su Kharim, la quarta su Sheorim,
9 The fifth to Melchia, the sixth to Maiman,	9 la quinta su Malchia, la sesta su Mijamin,
10 The seventh to Accos, the eighth to Abia,	10 la settima su Hakkoz, l’ottava su Abia,
11 The ninth to Jesua, the tenth to Sechenia,	11 la nona su Giosuè, la decima su Shechania,
12 The eleventh to Eliasib, the twelfth to Jacim,	12 l’undecima su Eliashib, la decimaseconda su Jakim,
13 The thirteenth to Hoppha, the fourteenth to Isbaab,	13 la decimaterza su Khuppa; la decimaquarta su Jeshebeab,
14 The fifteenth to Belga, the sixteenth to Emmer,	14 la decimaquinta su Bilga, la decimasesta su Immer,
15 The seventeenth to Hezir, the eighteenth to Aphses,	15 la decimasettima su Khezir, la decimaottava su Happizzez,
16 The nineteenth to Pheteia, the twentieth to Hezechiel,	16 la decimanona su Petakhia, la ventesima su Ezechiele,
17 The one and twentieth to Jachin, the two and twentieth to Gamul,	17 la ventunesima su Jachin, la ventiduesima su Gamul,
18 The three and twentieth to Dalaiau, the four and twentieth to Maaziau.	18 la ventitreesima su Delaia, la ventiquattresima su Maazia.
19 These are their courses according to their ministries, to come into the house of the Lord, and according to their manner under the hand of Aaron their father: as the Lord the God of Israel had commanded.	19 Queste furono le loro classi con il loro servizio; in base a esse si presentavano al tempio di Jahvè, secondo le norme che avevano ricevuto per mezzo di Aronne loro padre, così come Jahvè Dio di Israele gli aveva comandato.
20 Now of the rest of the sons of Levi, there was of the sons of Amram, Subael: and of the sons of Subael, Jehedeia.	20 Per il resto dei figli di Levi, cioè per i figli di Amram ci fu Shubael; per i figli di Shubael Jekhdia.
21 Also of the sons of Rohobia the chief Jesias.	21 Per Rechabia, cioè per i figli di Rechabia: Jisshia il capo.
22 And the son of Isaar Salemoth, and the son of Salemoth Jahath:	22 Per gli Jizehariti Shelomot; per i figli di Shelomot Jakhat.
23 And his son Jeriau the first, Amarias the second, Jahaziel the third, Jecmaan the fourth.	23 I figli di Hebron furono Jeria, Amaria il secondo, Jakhaziel il terzo e Jekhameam il quarto.
24 The son of Oziel, Micha: the son of Micha, Samir.	24 Figlio di Uzziel fu Micha; per i figli di Micha ci fu Shamir.
25 The brother of Micha, Jesia: and the son of Jesia, Zacharias.	25 Il fratello di Micha fu Jisshia; per i figli di Jisshia ci fu Zaccaria.
26 The sons of Merari: Moholi and Musi: the son of Oziau: Benno.	26 Figli di Merari: Makhli, Mushi. Figlio di Jaazia fu Bani.
27 The son also of Merari: Oziau, and Seam, and Zacchur, and Hebri.	27 Figli di Merari per Jaazia: Bani, Shoam, Zaccur e Ibzi.
28 And the son of Moholi: Eleazar, who had no sons.	28 Per Makhli ci fu Eleazaro, che non ebbe figli,
29 And the son of Cis, Jeramael.	29 e Kish. Figlio di Kish fu Jerakhmeel.
30 The sons of Musi: Moholi, Eder, and Jerimoth. These are the sons of Levi according to the houses of their families.	30 I figli di Mushi furono Makhli, Eder e Jerimot. Questi sono i figli di Levi secondo le loro casate.
31 And they also cast lots over against their brethren the sons of Aaron before David the king, and Sadoc, and Ahimelech, and the princes of the priestly and Levitical families, both the elder and the younger. The lot divided all equally.	31 Anch’essi, come i fratelli, figli di Aronne, gettarono le sorti innanzi al re David, a Zadok, ad Akhimelech e ai capicasata dei sacerdoti e dei Leviti, e precisamente la casata del primogenito allo stesso modo di quella del fratello minore.
