DIODATI	NEW JERUSALEM
1 OR quest’è la benedizione con la quale Mosè, uomo di Dio, benedisse i figliuoli d’Israele, avanti la sua morte.	1 This is the blessing that Moses, man of God, pronounced over the Israelites before he died.

They wil put incense before you andburnt offerings on your altar.
11 O Signore, benedici il suo esercito, E gradisci l’opera delle sue mani; Trafiggi le reni a coloro che si solleveranno contro a lui, E a coloro che l’odieranno, sì che non possano risorgere	11 Yahweh, bless his worthiness, and accept the actions he performs. Crush the loins of those who riseagainst him and of his foes, so that they rise no more!

15 E del meglio de’ monti antichi, E delle cose preziose de’ colli eterni.	15 the first-fruits of the ancient mountains, the best from the hil s of old
16 E delle delizie della terra, e di tutto ciò ch’ella contiene, E del favor di colui che stava nel pruno; Venga quello sopra il capo di Giuseppe, E sopra la sommità del capo Di colui ch’è stato messo da parte d’infra i suoi fratelli.	16 the best of the land and al it holds, the favour of him who dwells in the Bush. 24 Poi disse di ASER: Aser sarà benedetto in figliuoli; Egli sarà l’aggradevole fra i suoi fratelli, E tufferà il suo piè nell’olio.	24 Of Asher he said: Most blessed of the sons let Asher be! Let him be the most privileged of hisbrothers and let him bathe his feet in oil!
25 I tuoi calzari saranno ferro e rame; E la tua forza durerà quanto i tuoi giorni	25 Be your bolts of iron and of bronze and your security as lasting as your days!
26 O Iesurun, ei non v’è niuno pari a Dio, Ch’è portato, come sopra un carro, Sopra i cieli in tuo aiuto, E nella sua altezza sopra le nuvole,	26 No one is like the God of Jeshurun: he rides the heavens to your rescue, rides the clouds in hismajesty!
27 Che son l’abitacolo dell’eterno Dio, E di sotto son le braccia eterne. Egli ha scacciato d’innanzi a te il nemico; E ha detto: Distruggi.	27 The God of old is your refuge, his the eternal arm which here below drives the enemy before you; heit is who says, 'Destroy!'
28 Laonde Israele abiterà da parte in sicurtà; L’occhio di Giacobbe sarà verso un paese di frumento e di mosto; I suoi cieli eziandio stilleranno la rugiada.	28 Israel rests trustfully. The well-spring of Jacob is chosen out for a land of corn and wine; thereheaven itself rains down dew.
29 Beato te, Israele. Quale è il popolo pari a te, Salvato dal Signore, Ch’è lo scudo della tua salvezza, E la spada della tua altezza? Laonde i tuoi nemici s’infingeranno inverso te, E tu calcherai i loro alti luoghi	29 Blessed are you, O Israel! Who is like you, O victorious people? Yahweh is the shield that protectsyou and the sword that leads you to triumph. Your enemies wil try to corrupt you, but you yourself wil trample ontheir backs.
