1 El Señor dijo a Moisés:	1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
2 Comunica esta orden a los israelitas: Cuando entren en la tierra de Canaán, recibirán como herencia toda la extensión del territorio de Canaán, a saber:	2 “Instruct the sons of Israel, and you shall say to them: When you will have entered into the land of Canaan, and it has fallen into your possession by lot, it shall be bound by these limits:
3 La región meridional se extenderá desde el desierto de Sin, a lo largo de Edom. Por el este, la frontera meridional comenzará en el extremo del mar de la Sal.	3 The southern part shall begin from the wilderness of Sin, which is next to Edom, and it shall have the Sea of Salt as a limit to the east.
4 Luego dará una vuelta por el sur hasta el Paso de los Escorpiones, y pasará por Sin, para ir a terminar al sur de Cades Barné. Después continuará hasta Jasar Adar y pasará por Asmón.	4 It shall circle on the south side along the ascent of the Scorpion, by this way crossing into Senna, and passing through, from the south, as far as Kadesh-barnea, from which its confines shall go out to the town called Adar, and extend even to Azmon.
5 Partiendo de Asmón, dará una vuelta hasta el Torrente de Egipto y terminará en el Mar.	5 And its limits shall go around from Azmon to the Torrent of Egypt, and shall end at the shore of the Great Sea.
6 Al oeste tendrán como límite la costa del Mar Grande: esta será para ustedes la frontera occidental.	6 Then the western region shall begin from the Great Sea, and the same shall be its end.
7 La frontera norte la siguiente: trazarán una línea desde el Mar hasta el monte Hor;	7 Furthermore, toward the northern region, its limits shall begin from the Great Sea, passing through even to the highest mountain.
8 desde el monte Hor trazarán una línea hasta la Entrada de Jamat, y la frontera terminará en Sedad.	8 From there, it limits shall advance into Hamath, as far as the limits of Zedad.
9 Luego continuará hasta Sifrón, para ir a terminar en Jasar Enán. Esta será la frontera septentrional.	9 And its confines shall go all the way to Ziphron, and to the village of Enan. These shall be the limits on the northern side.
10 Para fijar el límite oriental, trazarán una línea desde Jasar Enán hasta Sefam.	10 From there, its limits shall be measured, facing the east side, from the village of Enan as far as Shepham.
11 Desde Sefam, la frontera bajará hasta Riblá, al este de Ain, y desde allí seguirá bajando hasta tocar la costa oriental del mar de Genesaret.	11 And from Shepham, the boundaries shall descend into Riblah, opposite the fountain of Daphnis. From there, the boundaries shall pass through, opposite the east, to the Sea of Chinnereth,
12 Después bajará a lo largo del Jordán y terminará en el mar de la Sal. Este será el territorio de ustedes, con las fronteras que lo circunscriben.	12 and shall extend as far as the Jordan, and, at the furthest extent, shall be enclosed by the Sea of Salt. You shall have this land, with its borders all around.”
13 Además, Moisés dio esta orden a los israelitas: Esta es la tierra que ustedes se repartirán como herencia por medio de un sorteo, la que el Señor manó fuera entregada a las nueve tribus y media.	13 And Moses instructed the sons of Israel, saying: “This shall be the land which you shall possess by lot, and which the Lord has ordered to be given to the nine tribes, and to the half tribe.
14 Porque las familias patriarcales de la tribu de los rubenitas, las familias de la tribu de los gaditas y la mitad de la tribu de Manasés ya recibieron su herencia:	14 For the tribe of the sons of Ruben, by their families, and the tribe of the sons of Gad, according to the number of their kinships, and also one half of the tribe of Manasseh,
15 esas dos tribus y media recibieron su propiedad hereditaria al otro lado del Jordán, al este de Jericó, en la parte oriental.	15 that is, two and a half tribes, have received their portion across the Jordan, opposite Jericho, toward the eastern side.”
16 Luego el Señor dijo a Moisés:	16 And the Lord said to Moses:
17 Las personas que les repartirán el territorio serán el sacerdote Eleazar y Josué, hijo de Nun.	17 “These are the names of the men, who shall divide the land for you: Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun,
18 Además, ustedes tomarán un jefe de cada tribu para la repartición del país.	18 and one leader from each tribe,
19 Los nombres de esas personas son los siguientes: Por la tribu de Judá, Caleb, hijo de Iefuné;	19 whose names are these: from the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh;
20 por la tribu de Simeón, Semuel, hijo de Amihud;	20 from the tribe of Simeon, Samuel the son of Ammihud;
21 por la tribu de Benjamín, Elidad, hijo de Quislón;	21 from the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad the son of Chislon;
22 por la tribu de Dan, el jefe Buquí, hijo de Ioglí;	22 from the tribe of the sons of Dan, Bukki the son of Jogli;
23 por las tribus de los hijos de José: el jefe Janiel, hijo de Efod, por la tribu de Manasés;	23 of the sons of Joseph, from the tribe of Manasseh, Hanniel the son of Ephod;
24 y el jefe Quemuel, hijo de Siftán, por la tribu de Efraím;	24 from the tribe of Ephraim, Kemuel the son of Shiphtan;
25 por la tribu de Zabulón, el jefe Elisafán, hijo de Parnac;	25 from the tribe of Zebulon, Elizaphan the son of Parnach;
26 por la tribu de Isacar, el jefe Paltiel, hijo de Azán;	26 from the tribe of Issachar, Paltiel the leader, the son of Azzan;
27 por la tribu de Aser, el jefe Ajihud, hijo de Selomí;	27 from the tribe of Asher, Ahihud the son of Shelomi;
28 por la tribu de Neftalí, el jefe Padael, hijo de Amihud.	28 from the tribe of Naphtali, Pedahel the son of Ammihud.”
29 Estas son las personas que designó el Señor para repartir el territorio de Canaán como herencia entre los israelitas.	29 These are the ones that the Lord has ordered to divide the land of Canaan to the sons of Israel.
