Salmos 27

EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS	NEW JERUSALEM
1 De David. El Señor es mi luz y mi salvación, ¿a quién temeré? El Señor es el baluarte de mi vida, ¿ante quién temblaré?	1 [Of David] Yahweh is my light and my salvation, whom should I fear? Yahweh is the fortress of my life,whom should I dread?
2 Cuando se alzaron contra mí los malvados para devorar mi carne, fueron ellos, mis adversarios y enemigos, los que tropezaron y cayeron.	2 When the wicked advance against me to eat me up, they, my opponents, my enemies, are the oneswho stumble and fal .
3 Aunque acampe contra mí un ejército, mi corazón no temerá; aunque estalle una guerra contra mí, no perderé la confianza.	3 Though an army pitch camp against me, my heart wil not fear, though war break out against me, mytrust wil never be shaken.
4 Una sola cosa he pedido al Señor, y esto es lo que quiero: vivir en la Casa del Señor todos los días de mi vida, para gozar de la dulzura del Señor y contemplar su Templo.	4 One thing I ask of Yahweh, one thing I seek: to dwel in Yahweh's house all the days of my life, toenjoy the sweetness of Yahweh, to seek out his temple.
5 Sí, él me cobijará en su Tienda de campaña en el momento del peligro; me ocultará al amparo de su Carpa y me afirmará sobre una roca.	5 For he hides me away under his roof on the day of evil, he folds me in the recesses of his tent, setsme high on a rock.
6 Por eso tengo erguida mi cabeza frente al enemigo que me hostiga; ofreceré en su Carpa sacrificios jubilosos, y cantaré himnos al Señor.	6 Now my head is held high above the enemies who surround me; in his tent I wil offer sacrifices ofacclaim. I wil sing, I wil make music for Yahweh.
7 ¡Escucha, Señor, yo te invoco en alta voz, apiádate de mí y respóndeme!	7 Yahweh, hear my voice as I cry, pity me, answer me!
8 Mi corazón sabe que dijiste: «Busquen mi rostro». Yo busco tu rostro, Señor,	8 Of you my heart has said, 'Seek his face!' Your face, Yahweh, I seek;
9 no lo apartes de mí. No alejes con ira a tu servidor, tú, que eres mi ayuda; no me dejes ni me abandones, mi Dios y mi salvador.	9 do not turn away from me. Do not thrust aside your servant in anger, without you I am helpless. Neverleave me, never forsake me, God, my Saviour.
10 Aunque mi padre y mi madre me abandonen, el Señor me recibirá.	10 Though my father and mother forsake me, Yahweh wil gather me up.
11 Indícame, Señor, tu camino y guíame por un sendero llano,	11 Yahweh, teach me your way, lead me on the path of integrity because of my enemies;
12 No me entregues a la furia de mis adversarios, porque se levantan contra mí testigos falsos, hombres que respiran violencia.	12 do not abandon me to the wil of my foes -- false witnesses have risen against me, and are breathingout violence.
13 Yo creo que contemplaré la bondad del Señor en la tierra de los vivientes.	13 This I believe: I shal see the goodness of Yahweh, in the land of the living.
14 Espera en el Señor y sé fuerte; ten valor y espera en el Señor.	14 Put your hope in Yahweh, be strong, let your heart be bold, put your hope in Yahweh.
