BIBLIA	DOUAI-RHEIMS
1 Esta es la descendencia de los hijos de Noé, Sem, Cam y Jafet, a quienes les nacieron hijos después del diluvio:	1 These are the generations of the sons of Noe: Sem, Cham, and Japheth: and unto them sons were born after the flood.
2 Hijos de Jafet: Gomer, Magog, los medos, Yaván, Túbal, Mések y Tirás.	2 The sons of Japheth: Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Thubal, and Mosoch, and Thiras.
3 Hijos de Gomer: Askanaz, Rifat, Togarmá.	3 And the sons of Gomer: Ascenez and Riphath and Thogorma.
4 Hijos de Yaván: Elisá, Tarsis, los Kittim y los Dodanim.	4 And the sons of Javan: Elisa and Tharsis, Cetthim, and Dodanim.
5 A partir de éstos se poblaron las islas de las gentes. Estos fueron los hijos de Jafet por sus territorios y lenguas, por sus linajes y naciones respectivas.	5 By these were divided the islands of the Gentiles in their lands, every one according to his tongue and their families in their nations.
6 Hijos de Cam: Kus, Misráyim, Put y Canaán.	6 And the sons of Cham: Chus, and Mesram, and Phuth, and Chanaan.
7 Hijos de Kus: Seba, Javilá, Sabtá, Ramá y Sabteká. Hijos de Ramá: Seba y Dedán.	7 And the sons of Chus: Saba and Hevila, and Sabatha, and Regma, and Sabatacha. The sons of Regma: Saba and Dadan.
8 Kus engendró a Nemrod, que fue el primero que se hizo prepotente en la tierra.	8 Now Chus begot Nemrod: he began to be mighty on earth.
9 Fue un bravo cazador delante de Yahveh, por lo cual se suele decir: «Bravo cazador delante de Yahveh, como Nemrod.»	9 And he was a stout hunter before the Lord. Hence came a proverb: Even as Nemrod the stout hunter before the Lord.
10 Los comienzos de su reino fueron Babel, Erek y Acad, ciudades todas ellas en tierra de Senaar.	10 And the beginning of his kingdom was Babylon, and Arach, and Achad, and Chalanne in the land of Sennaar.
11 De aquella tierra procedía Asur, que edificó Nínive, Rejobot Ir, Kálaj	11 Out of that land came forth Assur, and built Ninive, and the streets of the city, and Chale.
12 y Resen, entre Nínive y Kálaj (aquella es la Gran Ciudad).	12 Resen also between Ninive and Chale: this is the great city.
13 Misráyim engendró a los luditas, anamitas, lehabitas y naftujitas,	13 And Mesraim begot Ludim, and Anamim, and Laabim, Nepthuim,
14 a los de Patrós, de Kasluj y de Kaftor, de donde salieron los filisteos.	14 And Phetrusim, and Chasluim; of whom came forth the Philistines, and the Capthorim.
15 Canaán engendró a Sidón, su primogénito, y a Het,	15 And Chanaan begot Sidon, his firstborn, the Hethite,
16 al jebuseo, al amorreo, al guirgasita,	16 And the Jebusite, and the Amorrhite, and the Gergesite,
17 al jivita, al arqueo, al sineo,	17 The Hevite and the Aracite: the Sinite,
18 al arvadeo, al semareo y al jamateo. Más tarde se propagaron las estirpes cananeas.	18 And the Aradian, the Samarite, and the Hamathite: and afterwards the families of the Chanaanites were spread abroad.
19 La frontera de los cananeos iba desde Sidón, en dirección de Guerar, hasta Gaza; y en dirección de Sodoma, Gomorra, Admá y Seboyim, hasta Lesa.	19 And the limits of Chanaan were from Sidon as one comes to Gerara even to Gaza, until thou enter Sodom and Gomorrha, and Adama, and Seboim even to Lesa.
20 Estos fueron los hijos de Cam, según sus linajes y lenguas, por sus territorios y naciones respectivas.	20 These are the children of Cham in their kindreds, and tongues, and generations, and lands, and nations.
21 También le nacieron hijos a Sem, padre de todos los hijos de Héber y hermano mayor de Jafet.	21 Of Sem also, the father of all children of Heber, the elder brother of Japheth, sons were born.
22 Hijos de Sem: Elam, Asur, Aparksad, Lud y Aram.	22 The sons of Sem: Elam and Assur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram.
23 Hijos de Aram: Us, Jul, Guéter y Mas.	23 The sons of Aram: Us and Hull, and Gether: and Mess.
24 Arpaksad engendró a Sélaj y Sélaj engendró a Héber.	24 But Arphaxad begot Sale, of whom was born Heber.
25 A Héber le nacieron dos hijos: el nombre de uno fue Péleg, porque en sus días fue divida la tierra. Su hermano se llamaba Yoqtán.	25 And to Heber were born two sons: the name of the one was Phaleg, because in his days the earth was divided: and his brother's name Jectan.
26 Yoqtán engendró a Almodad, a Selef, a Jasarmávet, a Yéraj,	26 Which Jectan begot Elmodad, and Saleph, and Asarmoth, Jare,
27 a Hadoram, a Uzal, a Diclá,	27 And Anduram, and Uzal, and Decla,
28 a Obal, a Abimael, a Sebá,	28 And Ebal, and Abimael, Saba,
29 a Ofir, a Javilá y a Yobab. Todos fueron hijos de Yoqtán.	29 And Ophir, and Hevila, and Jobab.
30 Su asiento se extendió desde Mesá, en dirección a Sefar, al monte del oriente.	30 And their dwelling was from Messa as we go on as far as Sephar, a mountain in the east.
31 Estos fueron los hijos de Sem, según sus linajes y lenguas, por sus territorios y naciones respectivas.	31 These are the children of Sem according to their kindreds and tongues, and countries in their nations.
32 Hasta aquí los linajes de los hijos de Noé, según su origen y sus naciones. Y a partir de ellos se dispersaron los pueblos por la tierra después del diluvio.	32 These are the families of Noe, according to their peoples and nations. By these were the nations divided on the earth after the flood.
