BIBBIA VOLGARE	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Laudate il Signore del cielo; laudatelo nelli eccelsi.	1 Al eluia! Praise Yahweh from the heavens, praise him in the heights.
2 Laudatelo tutti li angeli suoi; laudatelo tutte le virtù sue.	2 Praise him, all his angels, praise him, al his host!
3 Laudatelo sole e luna; laudatelo tutte le stelle e luce.	3 Praise him, sun and moon, praise him, al shining stars,
4 Laudatelo li cieli de' cieli; e le acque, che son sopra li cieli, laudino il nome del Signore.	4 praise him, highest heavens, praise him, waters above the heavens.
5 Per che egli disse, e furono fatte; egli comandò, e furono create.	5 Let them praise the name of Yahweh at whose command they were made;
6 Ordinò quelle in eterno, e in SECULUM SECULI; puose il comandamento, e nol moverà.	6 he established them for ever and ever by an unchanging decree.
7 Laudate il Signore chi siete in terra, caverne e tutti li abissi;	7 Praise Yahweh from the earth, sea-monsters and all the depths,
8 fuoco, gragnuola, neve, ghiaccio, spirito di tempeste, che fanno il comandamento suo;	8 fire and hail, snow and mist, storm-winds that obey his word,
9 o monti e tutti li colli; arbori fruttiferi e tutti li cedri;	9 mountains and every hill, orchards and every cedar,
10 voi, bestie e tutte pecore; serpenti e uccelli volatili;	10 wild animals and al cattle, reptiles and winged birds,
11 voi, re della terra e tutti li popoli; prìncipi e tutti giudici della terra.	11 kings of the earth and al nations, princes and all judges on earth,
12 Giovani e vergini, vecchi con giovencelli, laudino il Signore;	12 young men and girls, old people and children together.
13 per che è esaltato solo il nome suo.	13 Let them praise the name of Yahweh, for his name alone is sublime, his splendour transcends earthand heaven.
14 La sua confessione sia sopra il cielo e la terra; e lui esaltarà la potenza del popolo suo. Sia laude a tutti li santi suoi; alli figliuoli d' Israel, populo apropinquante a lui.	14 For he heightens the strength of his people, to the praise of al his faithful, the children of Israel, thepeople close to him.
