1 E il re Salomone regnava sopra tutto Israel.	1 So king Solomon was king over all Israel.
2 E questi sono i principi ch' egli avea: Azaria figliuolo di Sadoc sacerdote;	2 And these were the princes which he had; Azariah the son of Zadok the priest,
3 Elioref e Aia figliuoli di Sisa iscrivani; Iosafat figliuolo di Ailud descrittore delle croniche;	3 Elihoreph and Ahiah, the sons of Shisha, scribes; Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud, the recorder.
4 Banaia figliuolo di Ioiada sopra lo esercito; e Sadoc e Abiatar erano sacerdoti.	4 And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the host: and Zadok and Abiathar were the priests:
5 E Azaria figliuolo di Natan sopra coloro che istavano con esso il re; Zabud figliuolo di Natan sacerdote, amico del re;	5 And Azariah the son of Nathan was over the officers: and Zabud the son of Nathan was principal officer, and the king's friend:
6 E Aisar era preposto della casa (di Dio); e Adoniram figliuolo di Abda sopra li tributi.	6 And Ahishar was over the household: and Adoniram the son of Abda was over the tribute.
7 E avea Salomone XII preposti (ovvero capitani) sopra la casa d'Israel, li quali davano la vittovaglia al re e a tutta la sua casa; ciascuno mese dell' anno ministravano tutte cose ch' erano bisogno.	7 And Solomon had twelve officers over all Israel, which provided victuals for the king and his household: each man his month in a year made provision.
8 E questi sono i nomi loro: Benur nel monte d' Efraim;	8 And these are their names: The son of Hur, in mount Ephraim:
9 Bendecar in Macces e in Salebim e in Betsames e in Elon e in Betanan;	9 The son of Dekar, in Makaz, and in Shaalbim, and Beth-shemesh, and Elon-beth-hanan:
10 Beneset in Arubot, del qual era Soco con tutta la terra di Efer;	10 The son of Hesed, in Aruboth; to him pertained Sochoh, and all the land of Hepher:
11 Benabinadab, del quale era tutta Nefatdor, e avea per moglie Tafet figliuola di Salomone;	11 The son of Abinadab, in all the region of Dor; which had Taphath the daughter of Solomon to wife:
12 Bana figliuolo di Ailud reggea Tanac e Mageddo e tutta Betsan, la quale è presso a Sartana sotto Iezrael, di Betsan insino ad Abelmeula dalle parti di Iecmaan;	12 Baana the son of Ahilud; to him pertained Taanach and Megiddo, and all Beth-shean, which is by Zartanah beneath Jezreel, from Beth-shean to Abel-meholah, even unto the place that is beyond Jokneam:
13 Bengaber, in Ramot di Galaad, avea Avotiair figliuolo di Manasse in Galaad, ed egli era preposto in tutta la terra di Argob, la quale è in Basan, sessanta cittadi grandi e murate, le quali avean le stanghe di metallo;	13 The son of Geber, in Ramoth-gilead; to him pertained the towns of Jair the son of Manasseh, which are in Gilead; to him also pertained the region of Argob, which is in Bashan, threescore great cities with walls and brasen bars:
14 Abinadab figliuolo di Addo era preposto in Manaim;	14 Ahinadab the son of Iddo had Mahanaim:
15 [Achimaas in Neftali], e avea Batsemat figliuola di Salomone per moglie;	15 Ahimaaz was in Naphtali; he also took Basmath the daughter of Solomon to wife:
16 Baana figliuolo di Usi in Aser e in Balot;	16 Baanah the son of Hushai was in Asher and in Aloth:
17 Iosafat figliuolo di Farua in Issacar;	17 Jehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar:
18 Semei figliuolo di Ela in Beniamin;	18 Shimei the son of Elah, in Benjamin:
19 Gaber figliuolo di Uri nella terra di Galaad, nella terra di Seon re degli Amorrei e di Og re di Basan, sopra tutte le cose ch' erano in quella terra.	19 Geber the son of Uri was in the country of Gilead, in the country of Sihon king of the Amorites, and of Og king of Bashan; and he was the only officer which was in the land.
20 Giuda e Israel erano innumerabili, sì come l'arena ch' è alla riva del mare, per la sua moltitudine; e mangiavano e beveano con letizia.	20 Judah and Israel were many, as the sand which is by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking, and making merry.
21 E Salomone in podestade avea tutti i reami, dal fiume della terra de' Filistei insino al termine d'Egitto; li quali gli offereano doni, e serviangli tutto il tempo della sua vita.	21 And Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river unto the land of the Philistines, and unto the border of Egypt: they brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life.
22 Ed era il cibo (della corte) di Salomone, per ciascuno dì, misure XXX di fiore di farina, e sessanta cori di farina,	22 And Solomon's provision for one day was thirty measures of fine flour, and threescore measures of meal,
23 e X buoi grassi, e XX buoi giovani di pascolo, e C montoni, sanza la cacciagione de' cervi, de' cavrioli, de' bufali, sanza l'uccellagione degli uccelli.	23 Ten fat oxen, and twenty oxen out of the pastures, and an hundred sheep, beside harts, and roebucks, and fallowdeer, and fatted fowl.
24 Ed egli tenea tutto il paese il quale era oltre il fiume, da Tafsa insino a Gaza, e tenea tutti i re di quelle terre; e avea pace dintorno da ogni parte.	24 For he had dominion over all the region on this side the river, from Tiphsah even to Azzah, over all the kings on this side the river: and he had peace on all sides round about him.
25 E Giuda e Israel abitavano senza niuna paura, ciascuno sotto la sua vite e sotto il suo fico, da Dan insino a Bersabee, tutto il tempo di Salomone.	25 And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beer-sheba, all the days of Solomon.
26 E aveva Salomone quaranta migliaia di mangiatoie di cavalli da carri, e XII milia da cavalieri.	26 And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.
27 E i preposti, che detti sono, [li] governavano; e quelle cose che gli erano bisogno alla mensa di Salomone con grande diligenza e cura ministravano.	27 And those officers provided victual for king Solomon, and for all that came unto king Solomon's table, every man in his month: they lacked nothing.
28 (Nel tempo convenevole) l' orzo e la paglia per gli cavalli, e per l'altre bestie da portare, portavano là ovunque era il re (d'andare), sì come era loro ordinato.	28 Barley also and straw for the horses and dromedaries brought they unto the place where the officers were, every man according to his charge.
29 E Iddio diede a Salomone sapienza e prudenza molto troppo, e larghezza di cuore, sì come l'arena che è al lito del mare.	29 And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.
30 E la sapienza di Salomone passava la sapienza di tutti quelli d' Oriente e di Egitto.	30 And Solomon's wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.
31 Ed era più savio di tutti gli uomini; (ed era) più savio che Etan di Ezrai, e che Eman e Calcol e Dorda figliuoli di Maol; ed era nominato tra tutte le genti dintorno.	31 For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all nations round about.
32 E disse Salomone III milia proverbii; e furono i suoi versi V e M.	32 And he spake three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five.
33 E disputò de' legni, dal cedro il quale è nel Libano insino all' isopo che nasce del muro; e trattò degli animali e delli volatili e delli rettili e de' pesci.	33 And he spake of trees, from the cedar tree that is in Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall: he spake also of beasts, and of fowl, and of creeping things, and of fishes.
34 E di tutti i popoli veniano ad udire la sapienza di Salomone, e di tutti i re i quali udivano la sapienza di Salomone.	34 And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom.
