| 1 וַיֵּצֵא הַגֹּורָל הַשֵּׁנִי לְשִׁמְעֹון לְמַטֵּה בְנֵי־שִׁמְעֹון לְמִשְׁפְּחֹותָם וַיְהִי נַחֲלָתָם בְּתֹוךְ נַחֲלַת בְּנֵי־יְהוּדָה | 1 The second lot came out for Simeon, for the tribe of Simeon, according to its families; and its inheritance was in the midst of the inheritance of the tribe of Judah. |
| 2 וַיְהִי לָהֶם בְּנַחֲלָתָם בְּאֵר־שֶׁבַע וְשֶׁבַע וּמֹולָדָה | 2 And it had for its inheritance Beer-sheba, Sheba, Moladah, |
| 3 וַחֲצַר שׁוּעָל וּבָלָה וָעָצֶם | 3 Hazar-shual, Balah, Ezem, |
| 4 וְאֶלְתֹּולַד וּבְתוּל וְחָרְמָה | 4 Eltolad, Bethul, Hormah, |
| 5 וְצִקְלַג וּבֵית־הַמַּרְכָּבֹות וַחֲצַר סוּסָה | 5 Ziklag, Beth-marcaboth, Hazar-susah, |
| 6 וּבֵית לְבָאֹות וְשָׁרוּחֶן עָרִים שְׁלֹשׁ־עֶשְׂרֵה וְחַצְרֵיהֶן | 6 Beth-lebaoth, and Sharuhen-- thirteen cities with their villages; |
| 7 עַיִן ׀ רִמֹּון וָעֶתֶר וְעָשָׁן עָרִים אַרְבַּע וְחַצְרֵיהֶן | 7 En-rimmon, Ether, and Ashan--four cities with their villages; |
| 8 וְכָל־הַחֲצֵרִים אֲשֶׁר סְבִיבֹות הֶעָרִים הָאֵלֶּה עַד־בַּעֲלַת בְּאֵר רָאמַת נֶגֶב זֹאת נַחֲלַת מַטֵּה בְנֵי־שִׁמְעֹון לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָם | 8 together with all the villages round about these cities as far as Baalath-beer, Ramah of the Negeb. This was the inheritance of the tribe of Simeon according to its families. |
| 9 מֵחֶבֶל בְּנֵי יְהוּדָה נַחֲלַת בְּנֵי שִׁמְעֹון כִּי־הָיָה חֵלֶק בְּנֵי־יְהוּדָה רַב מֵהֶם וַיִּנְחֲלוּ בְנֵי־שִׁמְעֹון בְּתֹוךְ נַחֲלָתָם׃ פ | 9 The inheritance of the tribe of Simeon formed part of the territory of Judah; because the portion of the tribe of Judah was too large for them, the tribe of Simeon obtained an inheritance in the midst of their inheritance. |
| 10 וַיַּעַל הַגֹּורָל הַשְּׁלִישִׁי לִבְנֵי זְבוּלֻן לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָם וַיְהִי גְּבוּל נַחֲלָתָם עַד־שָׂרִיד | 10 The third lot came up for the tribe of Zebulun, according to its families. And the territory of its inheritance reached as far as Sarid; |
| 11 וְעָלָה גְבוּלָם ׀ לַיָּמָּה וּמַרְעֲלָה וּפָגַע בְּדַבָּשֶׁת וּפָגַע אֶל־הַנַּחַל אֲשֶׁר עַל־פְּנֵי יָקְנְעָם | 11 then its boundary goes up westward, and on to Mareal, and touches Dabbesheth, then the brook which is east of Jokne-am; |
| 12 וְשָׁב מִשָּׂרִיד קֵדְמָה מִזְרַח הַשֶּׁמֶשׁ עַל־גְּבוּל כִּסְלֹת תָּבֹר וְיָצָא אֶל־הַדָּבְרַת וְעָלָה יָפִיעַ | 12 from Sarid it goes in the other direction eastward toward the sunrise to the boundary of Chisloth-tabor; thence it goes to Daberath, then up to Japhia; |
| 13 וּמִשָּׁם עָבַר קֵדְמָה מִזְרָחָה גִּתָּה חֵפֶר עִתָּה קָצִין וְיָצָא רִמֹּון הַמְּתֹאָר הַנֵּעָה | 13 from there it passes along on the east toward the sunrise to Gath-hepher, to Eth-kazin, and going on to Rimmon it bends toward Neah; |
| 14 וְנָסַב אֹתֹו הַגְּבוּל מִצְּפֹון חַנָּתֹן וְהָיוּ תֹּצְאֹתָיו גֵּי יִפְתַּח־אֵל | 14 then on the north the boundary turns about to Hannathon, and it ends at the valley of Iphtahel; |
| 15 וְקַטָּת וְנַהֲלָל וְשִׁמְרֹון וְיִדְאֲלָה וּבֵית לָחֶם עָרִים שְׁתֵּים־עֶשְׂרֵה וְחַצְרֵיהֶן | 15 and Kattath, Nahalal, Shimron, Idalah, and Bethlehem--twelve cities with their villages. |
| 16 זֹאת נַחֲלַת בְּנֵי־זְבוּלֻן לְמִשְׁפְּחֹותָם הֶעָרִים הָאֵלֶּה וְחַצְרֵיהֶן׃ פ | 16 This is the inheritance of the tribe of Zebulun, according to its families--these cities with their villages. |
| 17 לְיִשָּׂשכָר יָצָא הַגֹּורָל הָרְבִיעִי לִבְנֵי יִשָּׂשכָר לְמִשְׁפְּחֹותָם | 17 The fourth lot came out for Issachar, for the tribe of Issachar, according to its families. |
| 18 וַיְהִי גְּבוּלָם יִזְרְעֶאלָה וְהַכְּסוּלֹת וְשׁוּנֵם | 18 Its territory included Jezreel, Chesulloth, Shunem, |
| 19 וַחֲפָרַיִם וְשִׁיאֹן וַאֲנָחֲרַת | 19 Haphara-im, Shion, Anaharath, |
| 20 וְהָרַבִּית וְקִשְׁיֹון וָאָבֶץ | 20 Rabbith, Kishion, Ebez, |
| 21 וְרֶמֶת וְעֵין־גַּנִּים וְעֵין חַדָּה וּבֵית פַּצֵּץ | 21 Remeth, En-gannim, En-haddah, Beth-pazzez; |
| 22 וּפָגַע הַגְּבוּל בְּתָבֹור [וְשַׁחֲצוּמָה כ] (וְשַׁחֲצִימָה ק) וּבֵית שֶׁמֶשׁ וְהָיוּ תֹּצְאֹות גְּבוּלָם הַיַּרְדֵּן עָרִים שֵׁשׁ־עֶשְׂרֵה וְחַצְרֵיהֶן | 22 the boundary also touches Tabor, Shahazumah, and Beth-shemesh, and its boundary ends at the Jordan--sixteen cities with their villages. |
| 23 זֹאת נַחֲלַת מַטֵּה בְנֵי־יִשָּׂשכָר לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָם הֶעָרִים וְחַצְרֵיהֶן׃ פ | 23 This is the inheritance of the tribe of Issachar, according to its families--the cities with their villages. |
| 24 וַיֵּצֵא הַגֹּורָל הַחֲמִישִׁי לְמַטֵּה בְנֵי־אָשֵׁר לְמִשְׁפְּחֹותָם | 24 The fifth lot came out for the tribe of Asher according to its families. |
| 25 וַיְהִי גְּבוּלָם חֶלְקַת וַחֲלִי וָבֶטֶן וְאַכְשָׁף | 25 Its territory included Helkath, Hali, Beten, Achshaph, |
| 26 וְאַלַמֶּלֶךְ וְעַמְעָד וּמִשְׁאָל וּפָגַע בְּכַרְמֶל הַיָּמָּה וּבְשִׁיחֹור לִבְנָת | 26 Allammelech, Amad, and Mishal; on the west it touches Carmel and Shihor-libnath, |
| 27 וְשָׁב מִזְרַח הַשֶּׁמֶשׁ בֵּית דָּגֹן וּפָגַע בִּזְבֻלוּן וּבְגֵי יִפְתַּח־אֵל צָפֹונָה בֵּית הָעֵמֶק וּנְעִיאֵל וְיָצָא אֶל־כָּבוּל מִשְּׂמֹאל | 27 then it turns eastward, it goes to Beth-dagon, and touches Zebulun and the valley of Iphtahel northward to Beth-emek and Neiel; then it continues in the north to Cabul, |
| 28 וְעֶבְרֹן וּרְחֹב וְחַמֹּון וְקָנָה עַד צִידֹון רַבָּה | 28 Ebron, Rehob, Hammon, Kanah, as far as Sidon the Great; |
| 29 וְשָׁב הַגְּבוּל הָרָמָה וְעַד־עִיר מִבְצַר־צֹר וְשָׁב הַגְּבוּל חֹסָה [וְיִהְיוּ כ] (וְהָיוּ ק) תֹצְאֹתָיו הַיָּמָּה מֵחֶבֶל אַכְזִיבָה | 29 then the boundary turns to Ramah, reaching to the fortified city of Tyre; then the boundary turns to Hosah, and it ends at the sea; Mahalab, Achzib, |
| 30 וְעֻמָה וַאֲפֵק וּרְחֹב עָרִים עֶשְׂרִים וּשְׁתַּיִם וְחַצְרֵיהֶן | 30 Ummah, Aphek and Rehob--twenty-two cities with their villages. |
| 31 זֹאת נַחֲלַת מַטֵּה בְנֵי־אָשֵׁר לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָם הֶעָרִים הָאֵלֶּה וְחַצְרֵיהֶן׃ פ | 31 This is the inheritance of the tribe of Asher according to its families--these cities with their villages. |
| 32 לִבְנֵי נַפְתָּלִי יָצָא הַגֹּורָל הַשִּׁשִּׁי לִבְנֵי נַפְתָּלִי לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָם | 32 The sixth lot came out for the tribe of Naphtali, for the tribe of Naphtali, according to its families. |
| 33 וַיְהִי גְבוּלָם מֵחֵלֶף מֵאֵלֹון בְּצַעֲנַנִּים וַאֲדָמִי הַנֶּקֶב וְיַבְנְאֵל עַד־לַקּוּם וַיְהִי תֹצְאֹתָיו הַיַּרְדֵּן | 33 And its boundary ran from Heleph, from the oak in Za-anannim, and Adami-nekeb, and Jabneel, as far as Lakkum; and it ended at the Jordan; |
| 34 וְשָׁב הַגְּבוּל יָמָּה אַזְנֹות תָּבֹור וְיָצָא מִשָּׁם חוּקֹקָה וּפָגַע בִּזְבֻלוּן מִנֶּגֶב וּבְאָשֵׁר פָּגַע מִיָּם וּבִיהוּדָה הַיַּרְדֵּן מִזְרַח הַשָּׁמֶשׁ | 34 then the boundary turns westward to Aznoth-tabor, and goes from there to Hukkok, touching Zebulun at the south, and Asher on the west, and Judah on the east at the Jordan. |
| 35 וְעָרֵי מִבְצָר הַצִּדִּים צֵר וְחַמַּת רַקַּת וְכִנָּרֶת | 35 The fortified cities are Ziddim, Zer, Hammath, Rakkath, Chinnereth, |
| 36 וַאֲדָמָה וְהָרָמָה וְחָצֹור | 36 Adamah, Ramah, Hazor, |
| 37 וְקֶדֶשׁ וְאֶדְרֶעִי וְעֵין חָצֹור | 37 Kedesh, Edre-i, En-hazor, |
| 38 וְיִרְאֹון וּמִגְדַּל־אֵל חֳרֵם וּבֵית־עֲנָת וּבֵית שָׁמֶשׁ עָרִים תְּשַׁע־עֶשְׂרֵה וְחַצְרֵיהֶן | 38 Yiron, Migdal-el, Horem, Beth-anath, and Beth-shemesh-- nineteen cities with their villages. |
| 39 זֹאת נַחֲלַת מַטֵּה בְנֵי־נַפְתָּלִי לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָם הֶעָרִים וְחַצְרֵיהֶן׃ פ | 39 This is the inheritance of the tribe of Naphtali according to its families--the cities with their villages. |
| 40 לְמַטֵּה בְנֵי־דָן לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָם יָצָא הַגֹּורָל הַשְּׁבִיעִי | 40 The seventh lot came out for the tribe of Dan, according to its families. |
| 41 וַיְהִי גְּבוּל נַחֲלָתָם צָרְעָה וְאֶשְׁתָּאֹול וְעִיר שָׁמֶשׁ | 41 And the territory of its inheritance included Zorah, Eshta-ol, Ir-shemesh, |
| 42 וְשַׁעֲלַבִּין וְאַיָּלֹון וְיִתְלָה | 42 Sha-alabbin, Aijalon, Ithlah, |
| 43 וְאֵילֹון וְתִמְנָתָה וְעֶקְרֹון | 43 Elon, Timnah, Ekron, |
| 44 וְאֶלְתְּקֵה וְגִבְּתֹון וּבַעֲלָת | 44 Eltekeh, Gibbethon, Baalath, |
| 45 וִיהֻד וּבְנֵי־בְרַק וְגַת־רִמֹּון | 45 Jehud, Bene-berak, Gath-rimmon, |
| 46 וּמֵי הַיַּרְקֹון וְהָרַקֹּון עִם־הַגְּבוּל מוּל יָפֹו | 46 and Me-jarkon and Rakkon with the territory over against Joppa. |
| 47 וַיֵּצֵא גְבוּל־בְּנֵי־דָן מֵהֶם וַיַּעֲלוּ בְנֵי־דָן וַיִּלָּחֲמוּ עִם־לֶשֶׁם וַיִּלְכְּדוּ אֹותָהּ ׀ וַיַּכּוּ אֹותָהּ לְפִי־חֶרֶב וַיִּרְשׁוּ אֹותָהּ וַיֵּשְׁבוּ בָהּ וַיִּקְרְאוּ לְלֶשֶׁם דָּן כְּשֵׁם דָּן אֲבִיהֶם | 47 When the territory of the Danites was lost to them, the Danites went up and fought against Leshem, and after capturing it and putting it to the sword they took possession of it and settled in it, calling Leshem, Dan, after the name of Dan their ancestor. |
| 48 זֹאת נַחֲלַת מַטֵּה בְנֵי־דָן לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָם הֶעָרִים הָאֵלֶּה וְחַצְרֵיהֶן׃ פ | 48 This is the inheritance of the tribe of Dan, according to their families--these cities with their villages. |
| 49 וַיְכַלּוּ לִנְחֹל־אֶת־הָאָרֶץ לִגְבוּלֹתֶיהָ וַיִּתְּנוּ בְנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵל נַחֲלָה לִיהֹושֻׁעַ בִּן־נוּן בְּתֹוכָם | 49 When they had finished distributing the several territories of the land as inheritances, the people of Israel gave an inheritance among them to Joshua the son of Nun. |
| 50 עַל־פִּי יְהוָה נָתְנוּ לֹו אֶת־הָעִיר אֲשֶׁר שָׁאָל אֶת־תִּמְנַת־סֶרַח בְּהַר אֶפְרָיִם וַיִּבְנֶה אֶת־הָעִיר וַיֵּשֶׁב בָּהּ | 50 By command of the LORD they gave him the city which he asked, Timnath-serah in the hill country of Ephraim; and he rebuilt the city, and settled in it. |
| 51 אֵלֶּה הַנְּחָלֹת אֲשֶׁר נִחֲלוּ אֶלְעָזָר הַכֹּהֵן ׀ וִיהֹושֻׁעַ בִּן־נוּן וְרָאשֵׁי הָאָבֹות לְמַטֹּות בְּנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵל ׀ בְּגֹורָל ׀ בְּשִׁלֹה לִפְנֵי יְהוָה פֶּתַח אֹהֶל מֹועֵד וַיְכַלּוּ מֵחַלֵּק אֶת־הָאָרֶץ׃ פ | 51 These are the inheritances which Eleazar the priest and Joshua the son of Nun and the heads of the fathers' houses of the tribes of the people of Israel distributed by lot at Shiloh before the LORD, at the door of the tent of meeting. So they finished dividing the land. |
