1 And he turned me back, toward the way of the gate of the outer sanctuary, which looked toward the east. And it was closed.	1 Il me ramena vers le chemin de la porte du sanctuaire extérieur, qui regardait vers l'orient, et elle était fermée.
2 And the Lord said to me: “This gate will be closed; it will not be opened. And man shall not cross through it. For the Lord, the God of Israel, has entered through it, and it shall be closed	2 Et le Seigneur me dit : Cette porte sera fermée ; elle ne sera pas ouverte, et personne (aucun homme) n'y passera ; car le Seigneur, le Dieu d'Israël, est entré par cette porte, et elle sera fermée
3 to the prince. The prince himself will sit at it, so that he may eat bread before the Lord; he will enter by the way of the vestibule of the gate, and he will depart by the same way.”	3 pour le prince. Le prince (lui-même) s'y assoira pour manger le pain devant le Seigneur ; mais il entrera par le chemin de la porte du vestibule, et il sortira par le même chemin (sa voie).
4 And he led me in, along the way of the north gate, in the sight of the house. And I saw, and behold, the glory of the Lord filled the house of the Lord. And I fell upon my face.	4 Et il m'amena par le chemin de la porte du septentrion (de l'aquilon), en face du temple. Je regardai, et voici que la gloire du Seigneur avait rempli la maison du Seigneur, et je tombai sur ma face.
5 And the Lord said to me: “Son of man, set within your heart, and see with your eyes, and hear with your ears all that I am speaking to you about all the ceremonies of the house of the Lord and about all its laws. And set your heart upon the ways of the temple, along all the exits of the sanctuary.	5 Et le Seigneur me dit : Fils de (d'un) l'homme, applique ton cœur, regarde de tes yeux et écoute de tes oreilles tout ce que je te dirai au sujet de toutes les cérémonies de la maison du Seigneur, et de toutes ses lois ; et applique ton cœur aux chemins du temple, à toutes les issues du sanctuaire.
6 And you shall say to the house of Israel, which provokes me: Thus says the Lord God: Let all your wicked deeds be sufficient for you, O house of Israel.	6 Tu diras à la maison d'Israël qui m'irrite (exaspère) : Ainsi parle le Seigneur Dieu : Contentez-vous de tous vos crimes, maison d'Israël ;
7 For you bring in foreign sons, uncircumcised in heart and uncircumcised in flesh, so that they may be in my sanctuary and may defile my house. And you offer my bread, the fat, and the blood, yet you have broken my covenant by all your wicked deeds.	7 car vous avez introduit dans mon sanctuaire des étrangers, incirconcis de cœur et incirconcis de chair, pour profaner ma maison, et vous m'avez offert mon pain, la graisse et le sang, et vous avez rompu mon alliance par tous vos crimes.
8 And you have not observed the precepts of my sanctuary, yet you have stationed observers of my vigil in my sanctuary for yourselves.	8 Vous n'avez pas observé les ordonnances de mon sanctuaire, et vous avez établi de vous-mêmes dans mon sanctuaire des gardiens de mes lois (prescriptions).
9 Thus says the Lord God: Any foreigner, any foreign son who is in the midst of the sons of Israel, who is uncircumcised in heart and uncircumcised in flesh, shall not enter into my sanctuary.	9 Ainsi parle le Seigneur Dieu ; Tout étranger, incirconcis de cœur et incirconcis de chair, n'entrera pas dans mon sanctuaire, ni tout fils d'étranger qui est au milieu des enfants d'Israël.
10 And as for the Levites, they have withdrawn far away from me, in the errors of the sons of Israel, and they have gone astray from me after their idols, and they have borne their iniquity.	10 (Mais) Les Lévites mêmes, qui se sont éloignés de moi, en partageant l'erreur des enfants d'Israël, et qui se sont égarés loin de moi pour courir après leurs idoles, et qui ont porté la peine de leur iniquité,
11 They will be caretakers in my sanctuary, and doorkeepers at the gates of the house, and ministers to the house. They will slay the holocausts and the victims of the people. And they will stand before them, so that they may minister to them.	11 seront dans mon sanctuaire comme portiers, gardiens des portes de la maison et ministres du temple ; ils tueront les animaux destinés à l'holocauste, et les victimes du peuple, et se tiendront en sa présence pour le servir.
12 But because they ministered to them in the sight their idols, and they became a stumbling block of iniquity to the house of Israel, for this reason, I have lifted up my hand against them, says the Lord God, and they will bear their iniquity.	12 Parce qu'ils l'ont servi en présence de ses idoles, et qu'ils sont devenus à la maison d'Israël une occasion de scandale et (pierre d'achoppement dans l') d'iniquité, à cause de cela j'ai levé ma main sur eux, dit le Seigneur Dieu, et ils porteront (la peine de) leur iniquité.
13 And they shall not draw near to me, so as to exercise the priesthood for me, and they shall not approach to any of my holy things, which are near the Holy of Holies. Instead, they will bear their shame and their wicked deeds, which they committed.	13 Ils ne s'approcheront pas de moi pour remplir les fonctions du sacerdoce et ils ne s'approcheront pas de mon sanctuaire, près du saint des saints (des choses très saintes) ; mais ils porteront leur confusion et la peine des (les) crimes qu'ils ont commis.
14 And I will make them doorkeepers of the house, for all its ministries and for all that will be done within it.	14 Et je les établirai portiers du temple, et ils en feront tous les offices et tout ce qui doit s'y faire.
15 But the priests and the Levites who are the sons of Zadok, who observed the ceremonies of my sanctuary when the sons of Israel went astray from me, these shall draw near to me, so that they may minister for me. And they shall stand in my sight, so that they may offer to me the fat and the blood, says the Lord God.	15 Quant aux prêtres et aux Lévites fils de Sadoc, qui ont observé les cérémonies de mon sanctuaire, lorsque les enfants d'Israël s'égaraient loin de moi, ce s(er)ont eux qui s'approcheront de moi pour me servir, et ils se tiendront en ma présence, pour m'offrir la graisse et le sang (des victimes), dit le Seigneur Dieu.
16 They shall enter into my sanctuary, and they shall draw near to my table, so that they may minister for me, and so that they may observe my ceremonies.	16 Ce s(er)ont eux qui entreront dans mon sanctuaire, et qui s'approcheront de ma table, pour me servir et pour garder mes cérémonies.
17 And when they enter the gates of the inner court, they shall be clothed with linen garments. Neither shall anything woolen be placed over them, when they minister within the gates of the inner and the outer court.	17 Lorsqu'ils franchiront les portes du parvis intérieur, ils seront vêtus de robes de lin, et ils n'auront sur eux rien qui soit de laine, lorsqu'ils exerceront leur ministère aux portes du parvis intérieur et au-dedans.
18 They shall have linen bands on their heads, and linen undergarments over their loins, and they shall not be girded so as to sweat.	18 Ils auront des bandelettes de lin sur la tête, et des caleçons de lin sur leurs reins, et ils ne se ceindront pas de manière à exciter (dans) la sueur.
19 And when they go forth to the outer court to the people, they shall strip off their vestments, in which they ministered, and they shall place them in the storeroom of the sanctuary, and they shall clothe themselves with other garments. And they shall not sanctify the people in their vestments.	19 Lorsqu'ils sortiront dans le parvis extérieur, pour aller vers le peuple, ils ôteront les vêtements avec lesquels ils ont exercé leur ministère, et ils les déposeront dans la chambre du sanctuaire ; et ils prendront d'autres vêtements, pour ne pas sanctifier le peuple par leurs vêtements.
20 Now they shall not shave their heads, and they shall not grow long hair. Instead, they shall trim the hair of their heads.	20 Ils ne se raseront pas la tête, et ne laisseront pas croître leurs cheveux ; mais ils couperont leurs cheveux.
21 And no priest shall drink wine, when he will be entering into the inner court.	21 Aucun prêtre ne boira de vin lorsqu'il devra entrer dans le parvis intérieur.
22 And they shall not take as wife a widow or one who has been divorced. Instead, they shall take virgins from the offspring of the house of Israel. But they may also take a widow, if she is the widow of a priest.	22 Ils ne prendront pour épouse ni une veuve, ni une femme répudiée, mais des vierges de la race de la maison d'Israël ; ils pourront cependant épouser aussi une veuve qui sera veuve d'un prêtre.
23 And they shall teach my people the difference between holy and defiled, and they shall distinguish for them between clean and unclean.	23 Ils enseigneront à mon peuple à distinguer entre ce qui est saint et ce qui est profane (souillé), et lui apprendront à discerner ce qui est pur d'avec ce qui est impur.
24 And when there has been a controversy, they shall stand in my judgments, and they shall judge. They shall observe my laws and my precepts, in all my solemnities, and they shall sanctify my Sabbaths.	24 Lorsqu'il y aura une contestation, ils la jugeront, en s'en tenant à mes jugements ; ils observeront mes lois et mes ordonnances dans toutes mes solennités, et ils sanctifieront mes sabbats.
25 And they shall not enter to a dead person, lest they be defiled, except to father or mother, or son or daughter, or brother, or to a sister who does not have another man. By these, they may become unclean.	25 Ils n'entreront pas auprès d'un homme mort, pour ne pas se souiller, à moins que ce ne soit leur père ou leur mère, leur fils ou leur fille, leur frère ou leur sœur qui n'ait pas eu un second mari ; car ils deviendraient impurs.
26 And after he will have been cleansed, they shall number for him seven days.	26 Et lorsqu'un d'entre eux aura été purifié, on lui comptera encore sept jours.
27 And on the day when he enters into the sanctuary, to the inner court, so that he may minister to me in the sanctuary, he shall make an offering because of his offense, says the Lord God.	27 Et le jour où il entrera dans le sanctuaire, au parvis intérieur, pour me servir de ministre dans le sanctuaire, il fera une oblation pour son péché, dit le Seigneur Dieu.
28 And there shall be no inheritance for them. I am their inheritance. And you shall not give them any possession in Israel. For I am their possession.	28 Ils n'auront pas d'héritage ; c'est moi qui suis leur héritage ; et vous ne leur donnerez pas de possession en Israël, car c'est moi qui suis leur possession.
29 They shall eat the victim both for sin and for offenses. And every vowed offering in Israel shall be theirs.	29 Ils mangeront les victimes, et ce qui sera offert pour le péché et pour le délit, et tout vœu fait en Israël leur appartiendra.
30 And the first-fruits of all the firstborn, and all the libations out of all that is offered, shall belong to the priests. And you shall give the first-fruits of your foods to the priest, so that he may return a blessing to your house.	30 Les prémices de tous les premiers-nés et toutes les libations de (prélèvement sur) toutes les offrandes appartiendront aux prêtres ; vous donnerez aussi au prêtre les prémices de vos aliments, afin qu'il répande la bénédiction sur votre maison.
31 The priests shall not consume anything which has died on its own, or which was seized by a beast, whether from the fowl or the cattle.”	31 Les prêtres ne mangeront d'aucun oiseau et d'aucun animal mort (naturellement) ou pris par une autre bête.
