1 Now about the collection for God's holy people; you are to do the same as I prescribed for thechurches in Galatia.	1 А щодо збірки на святих, то робіть і ви так, як я був наказав Церквам галатським.
2 On the first day of the week, each of you should put aside and reserve as much as each can spare; donot delay the col ection til I arrive.	2 Першого дня тижня кожний з вас хай відкладає в себе, збираючи, що може заощадити, щоб збірок не робити тоді, коли сам прийду.
3 When I come, I wil send to Jerusalem with letters of introduction those people you approve to deliveryour gift;	3 Коли ж буде потрібно піти й мені самому, то вони підуть зо мною.
4 if it is worth my going too, they can travel with me.	4 Прийду ж до вас, як Македонію перейду, бо я крізь Македонію переходжу.
5 In any case, I shal be coming to you after I have passed through Macedonia, as I have to go throughMacedonia;	5 А у вас, може, зупинюсь або й перезимую, щоб ви мене провели, куди я піду.
6 and I may be staying some time with you, perhaps wintering, so that you can start me on my nextjourney, wherever I may be going.	6 Я вас не хочу бачити тепер лиш у переході; надіюсь бо деякий час у вас перебути, коли те Господь дозволить.
7 I do not want to make only a passing visit to you, and I am hoping to spend quite a time with you, theLord permitting.	7 В Ефесі я перебуду до П’ятидесятниці,
8 But I shal remain at Ephesus until Pentecost,	8 великі бо й широкі двері мені там відчинились, і супротивників багато.
9 for a very promising door is standing wide open to me and there are many against us.	9 Як прийде Тимотей до вас, глядіть, щоб почувавсь у вас безпечно, бо він, як і я, робить діло Господнє.
10 If Timothy comes, make sure that he has nothing to fear from you; he is doing the Lord's work, justas I am,	10 Нехай, отже, ніхто ним не легковажить; і відпровадьте його в мирі, щоб прийшов до мене, бо я з братами на нього чекаю.
11 and nobody is to underrate him. Start him off in peace on his journey to come on to me: the brothersand I are waiting for him.	11 А щодо брата Аполлоса, то я дуже його просив, щоб він пішов до вас із братами, та він не мав ніякої охоти тепер прибути; прийде, як буде догідний час.
12 As for our brother Apollos, I urged him earnestly to come to you with the brothers, but he was quitefirm that he did not want to go yet, and he wil come when he finds an opportunity.	12 Чувайте, стійте у вірі, будьте мужні, кріпіться.
13 Be vigilant, stay firm in the faith, be brave and strong.	13 Нехай усе у вас діється в любові.
14 Let everything you do be done in love.	14 А благаю вас, брати: Ви знаєте родину Степани, що вона первісток Ахаї і що вони віддали себе святим на службу;
15 There is something else I must urge you to do, brothers. You know how Stephanas' family have beenthe first-fruits of Achaia and have devoted themselves to the service of God's holy people;	15 то щоб і ви також піддавалися таким людям і кожному, хто трудиться та працює з ними.
16 I ask you in turn to put yourselves at the service of people like this and all that work with them in thisarduous task.	16 Я тішуся приходом Степани, Фортуната й Ахаїка: вони вашу неприявність заступили,
17 I am delighted that Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus have arrived; they have made up foryour not being here.	17 бо заспокоїли мій дух і ваш. Отож, шануйте таких.
18 They have set my mind at rest, just as they did yours; you should appreciate people like them.	18 Вітають вас Церкви азійські. Вітають вас у Господі сердечно Акила і Прискилла з їхньою домашньою Церквою.
19 The churches of Asia send their greetings. Aquila and Prisca send their best wishes in the Lord,together with the church that meets in their house.	19 Всі брати вас вітають. Вітайте один одного святим цілунком.
20 Al the brothers send their greetings. Greet one another with the holy kiss.	20 Привіт моєю рукою, Павловою.
21 This greeting is in my own hand-PAUL.	21 Як хтось не любить Господа, анатема на нього! «Маран ата!»
22 If there is anyone who does not love the Lord, a curse on such a one. Maran atha.	22 Благодать Господа Ісуса з вами!
23 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you.	23 Любов моя з усіма вами у Христі Ісусі!
24 My love is with you all in Christ Jesus.
