Jeremiah 27

NEW JERUSALEM	Biblia Matos Soares
1 (At the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah son of Josiah, king of Judah, this word came to Jeremiahfrom Yahweh:)	1 No princípio do reinado de Joaquim, filho de Josias, rei de Judá, o Senhor falou a Jeremias nos termos seguintes:
2 Yahweh said this to me, 'Make yourself thongs and yokes and put them on your neck.	2 Isto me disse o Senhor: Faze-te umas prisões e um jugo, que porás ao pescoço.
3 Then send them to the king of Edom, the king of Moab, the king of the Ammonites, the king of Tyre,and the king of Sidon, through their envoys accredited to Zedekiah king of Judah in Jerusalem.	3 Depois mandarás (essas coisas) ao rei de Edom, ao rei de Moab, ao rei dos filhos de Amon, ao rei de Tiro e ao rei de Sidónia, por mão dos embaixadores que vieram a Jerusalém tratar com Sedecias, rei de Judá.
4 Give them the following message for their masters, "Yahweh Sabaoth, God of Israel, says this: Youmust tel your masters this:	4 E ordernar-lhes-ás que comuniquem o seguinte a seus amos: Assim fala o Senhor dos exércitos, o Deus de Israel: Direis isto a vossos amos:
5 I by my great power and outstretched arm made the earth, the human beings and the animals that areon earth, and I give them to whom I please.	5 Eu fiz a terra, os homens e os animais que estão sobre a face da terra, com o meu grande poder, com o meu braço estendido, e dou o seu domínio àquele a quem me apraz dá-lo.
6 For the present, I have handed al these countries over to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, myservant; I have even put the wild animals at his service.	6 Agora entreguei todas estas terras nas mãos de Nabucodonosor, rei de Babilônia, meu servo; até lhe dei também os animais do campo, para que o sirvam.
7 (Al the nations will serve him, his son and his grandson, until the time for his own country comes in itsturn, when mighty nations and great kings wil enslave him.)	7 Todos estes povos o servirão a ele, a seu filho, e ao filho de seu filho, até que venha o tempo da sua terra, até que seja (par sua vez) submetida a muitas nações e grandes reis.
8 Any nation or kingdom that will not serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and will not bow its neck tothe yoke of the king of Babylon, I shall punish that nation with sword, famine and plague, Yahweh declares, untilI have destroyed it by his hand.	8 Quanto à nação ou reino, que não se submeter a Nabucodonosor, rei de Babilônia, que não encurvou o seu pescoço debaixo do jugo do rei de Babilônia, castigarei tal nação com a espada, com a fome e com a peste, diz o Senhor, até à destruição pela mão dele.
9 For your own part, do not listen to your prophets, your diviners, dreamers, magicians and sorcerers,who tel you: You wil not be enslaved by the king of Babylon.	9 Vós, pois, não deis ouvidos aos vossos profetas, adivinhos, sonhadores, agoureiros e feiticeiros, que vos dizem: Não servireis ao rei de Babilônia.
10 They prophesy lies to you, the result of which wil be that you wil be banished from your soil, that Ishall drive you out, and you will perish.	10 Com efeito, eles vos profetizam a mentira, de forma que sejais mandados para longe da vossa terra, que eu vos disperse e que venhais a perecer.
11 The nation, however, that is prepared to bend its neck to the yoke of the king of Babylon and servehim, I shal leave in peace on its own soil, Yahweh declares, to farm it and stay on it." '	11 Mas a nação que submeter a sua cerviz ao jugo do rei de Babilônia, e o servir, eu a deixarei na sua terra, diz o Senhor, para a cultivar e nela habitar.
12 To Zedekiah king of Judah I spoke in exactly the same terms. 'Bend your necks', I told him, 'to theyoke of the king of Babylon; serve him and his people and you wil survive.	12 E a Sedecias, rei de Judá, anunciei todas estas mesmas coisas, dizendo: Submetei o vosso pescoço ao jugo do rei de Babilônia, servi-o a ele e ao seu povo, e vivereis.
13 (Why so anxious to die, you and your people, by sword, famine and plague, with which Yahweh hasthreatened the nation refusing to serve the king of Babylon?)	13 Por que causa vos sujeitais a morrer, tu e o teu povo, à espada, de fome e de peste, como o Senhor predisse à nação que não quiser submeter-se ao rei de Babilônia?
14 Do not listen to the words the prophets say to you, "You will not be enslaved by the king of Babylon."They prophesy lies to you.	14 Não queirais dar ouvidos às palavras dos profetas que vos dizem: Não tereis de servir ao rei de Babilônia - porque eles vos falam a mentira.
15 Since I have not sent them, Yahweh declares, they prophesy untruths to you in my name. The resultwil be that I shal drive you out, you wil perish, and so wil the prophets who prophesy to you.'	15 Eu não os enviei, diz o Senhor; eles profetizam falsamente em meu nome, de sorte que eu vos disperse e venhais a perecer, tanto vós como os profetas que (falsamente)vos fazem profecias.
16 I also spoke to the priests and to al this people as fol ows, 'Yahweh says this, "Do not listen to thewords of your prophets who prophesy to you as fol ows: Look, the vessels of the Temple of Yahweh wil veryshortly be brought back from Babylon. They prophesy lies to you.	16 Também falei aos sacerdotes e a este povo, nos seguintes termos: Assim diz o Senhor: Não queirais dar ouvidos às palavras dos vossos profetas, que vos anunciam que os objetos do templo do Senhor voltarão brevemente de Babilônia, porque vos profetizam a mentira.
17 (Do not listen to them; serve the king of Babylon and you wil survive. Why should this city become aruin?)	17 Não queirais, pois, dar-lhes ouvidos, mas sujeitai-vos ao rei de Babilônia, para que vivais; por que há-de ficar esta cidade reduzida a um deserto?
18 If they are real prophets, if Yahweh's word is real y with them, they ought now to be pleading withYahweh Sabaoth that the remaining vessels in the Temple of Yahweh, in the palace of the king of Judah andelsewhere in Jerusalem, do not go to Babylon too!	18 Se são profetas (verdadeiros) e está neles a palavra do Senhor, intercedam junto do Senhor dos exércitos, para que os objetos que ficaram na casa do Senhor, na casa do rei de Judá e em Jerusalém, não sejam (também) levados para Babilônia.
19 For this is what Yahweh Sabaoth says about (the pil ars, the Sea, the stands and) the other vesselsstill remaining in this city,	19 Porque eis o que diz o Senhor dos exércitos acerca das colunas, do mar (de bronze), das bases e dos outros objetos, que ficaram nesta cidade,
20 those not carried off by Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon when he took Jeconiah son of Jehoiakim,king of Judah, into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon (with al the leading men of Judah and Jerusalem).	20 os quais Nabucodonosor, rei de Babilônia, não levou de Jerusalém para Babilônia, quando transportou Jeconias, filho de Joaquim, rei de Judá, e todos os grandes de Judá e de Jerusalém.
21 Yes, this is what Yahweh Sabaoth, God of Israel, says about the vessels stil remaining in the Templeof Yahweh, in the palace of the king of Judah and elsewhere in Jerusalem:	21 eis (repito) o que diz o Senhor dos exércitos, o Deus de Israel, acerca dos objetos que foram deixados na casa do Senhor, na casa do rei de Judá e em Jerusalém;
22 They wil be carried off to Babylon (and stay there until the day I punish them), Yahweh declares.(Then I shal bring them back and restore them to this place.)" '	22 A Babilônia serão transportados e ali estarão até ao dia em que eu os for buscar, diz o Senhor, e os fizer trazer e restituir a este lugar.
