Isaiah 53

NEW JERUSALEM	Біблія
1 Who has given credence to what we have heard? And who has seen in it a revelation of Yahweh'sarm?	1 Хто б повірив тому, що ми чули? Кому рамено Господнє об’явилось?
2 Like a sapling he grew up before him, like a root in arid ground. He had no form or charm to attract us,no beauty to win our hearts;	2 Він, мов той пагін, виріс перед нами, мов корінь із землі сухої. Не було в ньому ні виду, ні краси, — ми бачили його, — ні вигляду принадного не було в ньому.
3 he was despised, the lowest of men, a man of sorrows, familiar with suffering, one from whom, as itwere, we averted our gaze, despised, for whom we had no regard.	3 Зневажений, останній між людьми, чоловік болів, що зазнав недуги; немов людина, що перед нею обличчя закривають, зневажений, і ми його нізащо мали.
4 Yet ours were the sufferings he was bearing, ours the sorrows he was carrying, while we thought of himas someone being punished and struck with affliction by God;	4 Та він наші недуги взяв на себе, він ніс на собі наші болі. Ми ж, ми гадали, що його покарано, що Бог його побив, принизив.
5 whereas he was being wounded for our rebel ions, crushed because of our guilt; the punishmentreconciling us fel on him, and we have been healed by his bruises.	5 Він же був поранений за гріхи наші, роздавлений за беззаконня наші. Кара, що нас спасає, була на ньому, і його ранами ми вилікувані.
6 We had al gone astray like sheep, each taking his own way, and Yahweh brought the acts of rebellionof al of us to bear on him.	6 Усі, як вівці, ми блукали; кожен ходив своєю дорогою; провини нас усіх Господь поклав на нього.
7 Il -treated and afflicted, he never opened his mouth, like a lamb led to the slaughter-house, like a sheepdumb before its shearers he never opened his mouth.	7 Його мордовано, та він упокорявся і не розтуляв своїх уст; немов ягня, що на заріз ведуть його, немов німа вівця перед обстригачами, не відкривав він уст.
8 Forcibly, after sentence, he was taken. Which of his contemporaries was concerned at his having beencut off from the land of the living, at his having been struck dead for his people's rebel ion?	8 Насильно, скорим судом його вхопили. Хто з його сучасників думав, що його вирвано з землі живих і що за гріхи народу свого його побито аж до смерти?
9 He was given a grave with the wicked, and his tomb is with the rich, although he had done no violence,had spoken no deceit.	9 Гріб йому призначили разом з безбожними, і з злочинцями його могила, хоч він і не вчинив насильства, і не було обману в устах у нього.
10 It was Yahweh's good pleasure to crush him with pain; if he gives his life as a sin offering, he wil seehis offspring and prolong his life, and through him Yahweh's good pleasure wil be done.	10 Та Господь схотів придавити його стражданням. Якщо він принесе своє життя в покуту, то узрить потомство, житиме довго, і рука його вчинить успішно волю Господню.
11 After the ordeal he has endured, he wil see the light and be content. By his knowledge, the uprightone, my servant wil justify many by taking their guilt on himself.	11 Після трудів душі своєї він побачить світло і насититься своїм знанням. Слуга мій виправдає багатьох, їхні беззаконня понесе на собі.
12 Hence I shall give him a portion with the many, and he wil share the booty with the mighty, for havingexposed himself to death and for being counted as one of the rebel ious, whereas he was bearing the sin ofmany and interceding for the rebel ious.	12 Тому я дам йому, як пай, премногих; він з сильними буде ділити здобич, бо видав на смерть свою душу і був зачислений до лиходіїв, коли він узяв на себе гріхи багатьох і за грішників заступався.
