1 In the four hundred and eightieth year after the Israelites came out of Egypt, in the fourth year ofSolomon's reign over Israel, in the month of Ziv, which is the second month, he began building the Temple ofYahweh.	1 Četiri stotine i osamdesete godine poslije izlaska Izraelaca iz zemlje egipatske, četvrte godine kraljevanja svoga nad Izraelom, mjeseca ziva – to je drugi mjesec – počeo je Salomon graditi dom Jahvin.
2 The temple which King Solomon built for Yahweh was sixty cubits long, twenty cubits wide and twenty-five high.	2 Hram što ga je kralj Salomon gradio Jahvi bio je dug šezdeset lakata, širok dvadeset, a visok dvadeset i pet lakata.
3 The portico in front of the Hekal of the Temple was twenty cubits long across the width of the Templeand ten cubits wide along the length of the Temple.	3 Trijem pred Hekalom Hrama bio je dvadeset lakata dug, prema širini Hrama, a deset lakata širok, prema dužini Hrama.
4 He made windows for the Temple with frames and latticework.	4 Na Hramu je napravio prozore zatvorene rešetkama.
5 He also built an annex against the Temple wal , right round the Hekal and Debir. He built lateral storeysal round;	5 Uza zid Hrama oko Hekala i Debira sagradio je prigradnju na katove, sve unaokolo.
6 the lowest lateral storey was five cubits wide, the middle one six cubits, and the third seven cubits, for hehad made the outside of the Temple wal correspondingly stepped back al round, so that the annex was notattached to the Temple wal s.	6 Donji kat bio je pet lakata širok, srednji šest, a treći sedam lakata, jer je zasjeke rasporedio s vanjske strane naokolo Hrama da ih ne bi morao ugrađivati u hramske zidove.
7 (The building of the Temple was done with quarry -- dressed stone; no sound of hammer or pick or anyiron tool was to be heard in the Temple while it was being built.)	7 Hram je građen od kamena koji je već u kamenolomu bio oklesan, tako da se za gradnje nije čuo ni čekić ni dlijeto ni ikakvo željezno oruđe.
8 The entrance to the lowest storey was at the right-hand corner of the Temple; access to the middlestorey was by a spiral staircase, and so from the middle storey to the third.	8 Ulaz u donji kat bio je s desne strane Hrama, a zavojnim se stubama uspinjalo na srednji kat i sa srednjega na treći.
9 Having finished building the Temple, he roofed the Temple with a coffered ceiling of cedar wood.	9 Sagradio je tako Hram i dovršio ga; i pokrio ga cedrovim gredama i daskama.
10 Round the outside of the Temple he then built the annex which was five cubits high and was joined tothe Temple by cedar-wood beams.	10 I sagradi još prigradnju oko cijeloga Hrama; bila je pet lakata visoka, a vezana s Hramom cedrovim gredama.
11 And the word of Yahweh came to Solomon,	11 I riječ Jahvina stiže Salomonu:
12 'With regard to this temple which you are now building, if you follow my statutes and obey myordinances and faithful y follow my commandments, I shal fulfil the promise which I made about you to yourfather David.	12 »To je dom što ga gradiš ... Ako budeš hodio prema naredbama mojim, ako budeš vršio naredbe moje i držao se mojih zapovijedi, tada ću ispuniti tebi obećanje što sam ga dao tvome ocu Davidu:
13 And I shal make my home among the Israelites and never forsake Israel my people.'	13 prebivat ću među sinovima Izraelovim i neću ostaviti naroda svoga Izraela.«
14 Solomon finished building the Temple.	14 I tako Salomon sazida Hram i dovrši ga.
15 He lined the inside of the Temple wal s with panels of cedar wood-panelling them on the inside fromthe floor of the Temple to the beams of the ceiling -- and laid the floor of the Temple with juniper planks.	15 I obloži iznutra zidove Hrama cedrovim daskama – od poda do stropa obloži ih drvetom iznutra – a daskama čempresovim obloži pod Hrama.
16 The twenty cubits measured from the end of the Temple he built of cedar planks from the floor to thebeams, and this part was reserved as the Debir, the Holy of Holies.	16 I načini pregradu od dvadeset lakata, od cedrovih dasaka, s poda pod strop, i odijeli taj dio Hrama za Debir, za Svetinju nad svetinjama.
17 The Temple measured forty cubits -- the Hekal -- in front of the Debir.	17 A Hekal – Svetište, dio Hrama ispred Debira – imaše četrdeset lakata.
18 There was cedar wood round the inside of the Temple, ornamentally carved with gourds and rosettes;al was cedar wood, with no stone showing.	18 A po cedrovini unutar Hrama bijahu urezani ukrasi – pleteri od pupoljaka i cvijeća; sve je bilo od cedrovine i nigdje se nije vidio kamen.
19 In the inner part of the Temple he designed a Debir, to contain the ark of the covenant of Yahweh.	19 Debir je uredio unutra u Hramu da onamo smjesti Kovčeg saveza Jahvina.
20 The Debir was twenty cubits long, twenty cubits wide, and twenty high, and he overlaid it on the insidewith pure gold. 23 In the Debir he made two great winged creatures of wild-olive wood. . .It was ten cubits high.	23 U Debiru načini dva kerubina od maslinova drveta. Bili su visoki deset lakata.
24 One winged creature's wing was five cubits long and the other wing five cubits: ten cubits from wing tipto wing tip.	24 Jedno je krilo u kerubina bilo pet lakata i drugo je krilo u kerubina bilo pet lakata; deset je lakata bilo od jednoga kraja krila do drugoga.
25 The other winged creature also measured ten cubits; both had the same measurements and the sameshape.	25 I drugi je kerubin bio od deset lakata: jednaka mjera i jednak oblik obaju kerubina.
26 The height of one was the same as the other's.	26 Visina jednog kerubina bila je deset lakata, tako i drugoga.
27 He placed them in the middle of the inner chamber; their wings were spread out so that the wing of onetouched one of the wal s and the wing of the other touched the other wall, while their wings met in the middle ofthe chamber wing to wing.	27 Smjestio je kerubine usred nutarnje prostorije; širili su svoja krila, tako da je krilo jednoga ticalo jedan zid, a krilo drugoga ticalo drugi zid; u sredini prostorije krila im se doticahu.
28 And he overlaid them with gold.	28 I kerubine je obložio zlatom.
29 Al round the Temple wal s he carved figures of winged creatures, palm trees and rosettes, both insideand outside.	29 Po svim zidovima Hrama unaokolo, iznutra i izvana, urezao je likove kerubina, palmâ i rastvorenih cvjetova,
30 He overlaid the floor of the Temple with gold, both inside and outside.	30 zlatom je pokrio i pod Hramu iznutra i izvana.
31 He made the door of the Debir with uprights of wild-olive wood, and door jambs with five indentedsections,	31 A za ulaz u Debir načini dvokrilna vrata od maslinova drveta; dovraci s pragom bijahu na pet uglova.
32 and the two leaves of wild-olive wood. He carved figures of great winged creatures, palm trees androsettes which he overlaid with gold, and he gilded winged creatures and palm trees.	32 Oba krila na vratima od maslinova drveta ukrasi likovima kerubina, palmâ i rastvorenih cvjetova, i sve ih obloži zlatom; listićima zlata oblijepi kerubine i palme.
33 Similarly, he made uprights of wild-olive wood for the door of the Hekal, and door jambs with fourindented sections,	33 Tako i za ulaz u Hekal načini vrata od maslinova drveta, s četverokutnim dovracima.
34 and the two leaves of juniper: one leaf had two ribs binding it, and the other had two ribs binding it.	34 Oba krila na vratima bijahu od čempresova drveta i oba se otvarahu na jednu i na drugu stranu.
35 He carved winged creatures, palm trees and rosettes, which he overlaid with gold laid evenly over thecarvings.	35 Urezao je na njima kerubine, palme i rastvorene cvjetove i obložio zlatom sve što bijaše urezano.
36 He built the wal of the inner court in three courses of dressed stone and one course of cedar beams.	36 Potom je sagradio unutrašnje predvorje od tri reda klesanog kamena i jednoga reda tesanih greda cedrovih.
37 In the fourth year, in the month of Ziv, the foundations of the Temple were laid;	37 Temelji su hramu Jahvinu bili položeni četvrte godine, mjeseca ziva;
38 in the eleventh year, in the month of Bul -- that is, the eighth month -- the Temple was completedexactly as it had been planned and designed. Solomon took seven years to build it.	38 a jedanaeste godine, mjeseca bula – to je osmi mjesec – Hram je dovršen sa svim dijelovima i sa svim što mu pripada. Salomon ga sagradi za sedam godina.
