1 Give the king thy judgments, O God, and thy righteousness unto the king's son.	1 Salmo. De Asaf. Quão bom é Deus para com os rectos, o Senhor para com os puros de coração!
2 He shall judge thy people with righteousness, and thy poor with judgment.	2 Os meus pés por pouco não vacilaram; por pouco se não transviaram os meus passos,
3 The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little hills, by righteousness.	3 porque tive inveja dos ímpios, ao observar a prosperidade dos pecadores.
4 He shall judge the poor of the people, he shall save the children of the needy, and shall break in pieces the oppressor.	4 Porque eles não têm sofrimentos, são e gordo anda o seu corpo.
5 They shall fear thee as long as the sun and moon endure, throughout all generations.	5 Não participam (pelo menos aparentemente) dos trabalhos dos mortais, nem como os outros são flagelados.
6 He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: as showers that water the earth.	6 Pelo que os cinge a soberba como um colar, e envolve-os a violência como um vestido.
7 In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endureth.	7 Brota a iniquidade do seu crasso coração, trasbordam as ficções da sua mente.
8 He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth.	8 Zombam e falam com maldade, altivos ameaçam opressões.
9 They that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him; and his enemies shall lick the dust.	9 Abrem a sua boca contra o céu, e a sua língua arrasta-se pela terra.
10 The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.	10 Por isto o meu povo se volta para eles, e sorve das suas águas abundantes.
11 Yea, all kings shall fall down before him: all nations shall serve him.	11 Chegam a dizer; "Porventura Deus sabe isto, tem disto notícia o Altíssimo?"
12 For he shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and him that hath no helper.	12 Eis como são os pecadores, e, (contudo) sempre tranquilos, aumentam a sua fortuna.
13 He shall spare the poor and needy, and shall save the souls of the needy.	13 Foi portanto inutilmente que conservei puro o meu coração, e lavei na inocência as minhas mãos?
14 He shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence: and precious shall their blood be in his sight.	14 Pois sou flagelado a toda a hora e castigado todo o dia.
15 And he shall live, and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba: prayer also shall be made for him continually; and daily shall he be praised.	15 Se eu pensasse: "Hei-de falar com eles," seria um desertor da raça dos teus filhos.
16 There shall be an handful of corn in the earth upon the top of the mountains; the fruit thereof shall shake like Lebanon: and they of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth.	16 Reflectia pois para compreender isto; pareceu-me porém coisa bastante difícil,
17 His name shall endure for ever: his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in him: all nations shall call him blessed.	17 até que entrei no santuário (íntimo) de Deus, e atendi ao fim de todos eles.
18 Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things.	18 Na verdade, é sobre caminhos escorregadios que os colocas, precipita-los na ruína.
19 And blessed be his glorious name for ever: and let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen.	19 Oh! como tombara num momento, acabaram, foram consumidos de espantoso terror!
20 The prayers of David the son of Jesse are ended.	20 Como um sonho, ao despertar, Senhor, assim, quando te Levantas, desprezarás a sua aparência.
	21 Quando se exasperava o meu espírito, e o meu coração se sentia aguilhoado.
	22 eu era um insensato e não compreendia, fui diante de ti como um jumento.
	23 Todavia, não; estarei sempre contigo: tomaste-me pela minha mão direita,
	24 Hás-de guiar-me com teu conselho, e por fim hás-de receber-me na tua glória.
	25 Quem tenho eu, lá no céu, fora de ti? e, se estou contigo, a terra não me deleita.
	26 Desfalece a minha carne e o meu coração; o rochedo do meu coração e a minha herança é Deus para sempre.
	27 Com efeito, os que se apartam de ti perecerão, aniquilas todos os que te são infiéis.
	28 Mas para mim é bom estar junto de Deus, pôr no Senhor Deus o meu refúgio. Publicarei todas as tuas obras às portas da filha de Sião.
