Zacarias 5

1 Levantando os olhos, olhei e vi um rolo manuscrito que voava.	1 Then I raised my eyes again and saw a scroll flying.
2 {O anjo} disse-me: Que vês? Um rolo que voa, respondi, o qual tem vinte côvados de comprimento por dez de largura.	2 "What do you see?" he asked me. I answered, "I see a scroll flying; it is twenty cubits long and ten cubits wide."
3 Ele disse-me: Isto é a Maldição que se espalha sobre toda a terra. Todo ladrão será expulso por ela, e todo perjuro será lançado fora por ela.	3 Then he said to me: "This is the curse which is to go forth over the whole earth; in accordance with it shall every thief be swept away, and in accordance with it shall every perjurer be expelled from here.
4 Eu a deixarei espalhar-se por toda a parte - oráculo do Senhor - e ela forçará a casa do ladrão e a do perjuro; alojar-se-á na casa {de cada um} deles e a aniquilará com a sua madeira e as suas pedras.	4 I will send it forth, says the LORD of hosts, and it shall come into the house of the thief, or into the house of him who perjures himself with my name; it shall lodge within his house, consuming it, timber and stones."
5 O anjo porta-voz aproximou-se e disse-me: Levanta os teus olhos e vê o que vem lá!	5 Then the angel who spoke with me came forward and said to me, "Raise your eyes and see what this is that comes forth."
6 Eu disse: O que é? Ele respondeu: É um efá que aparece, e acrescentou: É a iniqüidade deles por toda a terra.	6 "What is it?" I asked. And he answered, "This is a bushel container coming. This is their guilt in all the land."
7 Eis que foi levantada a tampa de chumbo, e vi uma mulher instalada no efá.	7 Then a leaden cover was lifted, and there was a woman sitting inside the bushel.
8 Esta mulher, disse ele, é a Iniqüidade! Prendeu-a no efá e tapou a boca do efá com o disco de chumbo.	8 "This is Wickedness," he said; and he thrust her inside the bushel, pushing the leaden cover into the opening.
9 Então levantei os olhos e olhei: apareceram duas mulheres, e o vento soprava em suas asas. Tinham asas como de cegonha e levantaram o efá entre o céu e a terra.	9 Then I raised my eyes and saw two women coming forth with a wind ruffling their wings, for they had wings like the wings of a stork. As they lifted up the bushel into the air,
10 Perguntei então ao porta-voz: Aonde vão elas com o efá?	10 I said to the angel who spoke with me, "Where are they taking the bushel?"
11 Ele respondeu-me: Vão construir-lhe uma casa na terra de Senaar, estabelecê-la ali e fixá-la no seu lugar.	11 He replied, "To build a temple for it in the land of Shinar; when the temple is ready, they will deposit it there in its place."
