Isaia 56

LA SACRA BIBBIA	NEW AMERICAN BIBLE
1 Così parla il Signore: "Osservate il diritto e praticate la giustizia, perché la mia salvezza è prossima a venire, e la mia giustizia è sul punto di rivelarsi".	1 Thus says the LORD: Observe what is right, do what is just; for my salvation is about to come, my justice, about to be revealed.
2 Beato l'uomo che agisce così, e il figlio dell'uomo che vi aderisce fermamente, che osserva il sabato senza profanarlo, e che trattiene la sua mano dal compiere qualsiasi male.	2 Happy is the man who does this, the son of man who holds to it; Who keeps the sabbath free from profanation, and his hand from any evildoing.
3 Non dica lo straniero, che si è unito al Signore, così: "Mi separerà certamente il Signore dal suo popolo". E non dica l'eunuco: "Ecco, io sono un albero secco!".	3 Let not the foreigner say, when he would join himself to the LORD, "The LORD will surely exclude me from his people"; Nor let the eunuch say, "See, I am a dry tree."
4 Poiché così parla il Signore: "Agli eunuchi che osservano i miei sabati, prediligono quello che è di mio gusto e tengono fermamente alla mia alleanza,	4 For thus says the LORD: To the eunuchs who observe my sabbaths and choose what pleases me and hold fast to my covenant,
5 darò loro nella mia casa un nome ed entro le mie mura un monumento migliore dei figli e delle figlie; darò loro un nome sempiterno, che non sarà mai soppresso.	5 I will give, in my house and within my walls, a monument and a name Better than sons and daughters; an eternal, imperishable name will I give them.
6 Gli stranieri che aderirono al Signore per servirlo, per amare il nome del Signore e diventare suoi servi, tutti quelli che osservano il sabato evitandone la profanazione e tengono fermamente alla mia alleanza,	6 And the foreigners who join themselves to the LORD, ministering to him, Loving the name of the LORD, and becoming his servants-- All who keep the sabbath free from profanation and hold to my covenant,
7 io li condurrò sul mio santo monte e li colmerò di gioia nella mia casa di preghiera. I loro olocausti e i loro sacrifici saranno graditi sul mio altare, perché la mia casa sarà chiamata casa di preghiera per tutti i popoli".	7 Them I will bring to my holy mountain and make joyful in my house of prayer; Their holocausts and sacrifices will be acceptable on my altar, For my house shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples.
8 Oracolo del Signore Dio, che raccoglie i dispersi di Israele: "Io raccoglierò ancora altri, oltre a quelli già radunati".	8 Thus says the Lord GOD, who gathers the dispersed of Israel: Others will I gather to him besides those already gathered.
9 Bestie tutte dei campi, venite per divorare, bestie tutte della foresta!	9 All you wild beasts of the field, come and eat, all you beasts in the forest!
10 I suoi guardiani sono tutti ciechi, non comprendono nulla. Tutti sono cani muti, incapaci di latrare; sognano, accovacciati, amando di sonnecchiare.	10 My watchmen are blind, all of them unaware; They are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; Dreaming as they lie there, loving their sleep.
11 Sono cani avidi, non conoscono la sazietà, sono pastori che non capiscono nulla; seguono tutti la loro via, ognuno il proprio profitto, senza eccezione.	11 They are relentless dogs, they know not when they have enough. These are the shepherds who know no discretion; Each of them goes his own way, every one of them to his own gain:
12 "Venite, prenderò del vino: inebriamoci di bevanda inebriante; domani sarà come oggi, grande abbondanza, e più ancora!".	12 "Come, I will fetch some wine; let us carouse with strong drink, And tomorrow will be like today, or even greater."
