1 Al maestro di coro. Dei figli di Core. Su "Le vergini". Canto.	1 [For the choirmaster Of the sons of Korah For oboe Song] God is both refuge and strength for us, ahelp always ready in trouble;
2 Dio è per noi rifugio e presidio, grande aiuto s'è mostrato nell'angustia.	2 so we shall not be afraid though the earth be in turmoil, though mountains tumble into the depths ofthe sea,
3 Per questo non temeremmo se si sconvolgesse la terra, se precipitassero i monti in seno al mare.	3 and its waters roar and seethe, and the mountains totter as it heaves. (Yahweh Sabaoth is with us, ourcitadel, the God of Jacob.)Pause
4 Fremono, spumeggiano le sue acque, sobbalzano i monti al suo impeto.	4 There is a river whose streams bring joy to God's city, it sanctifies the dwel ing of the Most High.
5 Il fiume con i suoi canali allieta la città di Dio, ha santificato l'Altissimo la sua dimora.	5 God is in the city, it cannot fal ; at break of day God comes to its rescue.
6 Dio sta in mezzo ad essa: non vacillerà; la soccorre l'Altissimo al sorgere del mattino.	6 Nations are in uproar, kingdoms are tumbling, when he raises his voice the earth crumbles away.
7 Fremettero le genti, vacillarono i regni, emise il suo grido, si scosse la terra.	7 Yahweh Sabaoth is with us, our citadel, the God of Jacob. Pause
8 Il Signore delle Schiere è con noi, una rocca è per noi il Dio di Giacobbe.	8 Come, consider the wonders of Yahweh, the astounding deeds he has done on the earth;
9 Orsù, le gesta del Signore osservate, poiché egli sparge desolazione sulla terra;	9 he puts an end to wars over the whole wide world, he breaks the bow, he snaps the spear, shields heburns in the fire.
10 fa cessare la guerra fino ai confini della terra: spezza l'arco, frantuma la lancia, dà alle fiamme i carri di guerra.	10 'Be stil and acknowledge that I am God, supreme over nations, supreme over the world.'
11 Cessate, e riconoscete che io, Dio, trionfo sui popoli, trionfo sulla terra.	11 Yahweh Sabaoth is with us, our citadel, the God of Jacob.Pause
