Matthew 17

1 And after six days, Jesus took Peter and James and his brother John, and he led them onto a lofty mountain separately.	1 وبعد ستة ايام اخذ يسوع بطرس ويعقوب ويوحنا اخاه وصعد بهم الى جبل عال منفردين.
2 And he was transfigured before them. And his face shined brightly like the sun. And his garments were made white like snow.	2 وتغيّرت هيئته قدّامهم واضاء وجهه كالشمس وصارت ثيابه بيضاء كالنور.
3 And behold, there appeared to them Moses and Elijah, speaking with him.	3 واذا موسى وايليا قد ظهرا لهم يتكلمان معه.
4 And Peter responded by saying to Jesus: “Lord, it is good for us to be here. If you are willing, let us make three tabernacles here, one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”	4 فجعل بطرس يقول ليسوع يا رب جيد ان نكون ههنا. فان شئت نصنع هنا ثلاث مظال. لك واحدة ولموسى واحدة ولايليا واحدة.
5 And while he was still speaking, behold, a shining cloud overshadowed them. And behold, there was a voice from the cloud, saying: “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased. Listen to him.”	5 وفيما هو يتكلم اذا سحابة نيرة ظللتهم وصوت من السحابة قائلا هذا هو ابني الحبيب الذي به سررت. له اسمعوا.
6 And the disciples, hearing this, fell prone on their face, and they were very afraid.	6 ولما سمع التلاميذ سقطوا على وجوههم وخافوا جدا.
7 And Jesus drew near and touched them. And he said to them, “Rise up and do not be afraid.”	7 فجاء يسوع ولمسهم وقال قوموا ولا تخافوا.
8 And lifting up their eyes, they saw no one, except Jesus alone.	8 فرفعوا اعينهم ولم يروا احدا الا يسوع وحده
9 And as they were descending from the mountain, Jesus instructed them, saying, “Tell no one about the vision, until the Son of man has risen from the dead.”	9 وفيما هم نازلون من الجبل اوصاهم يسوع قائلا لا تعلموا احدا بما رأيتم حتى يقوم ابن الانسان من الاموات.
10 And his disciples questioned him, saying, “Why then do the scribes say that it is necessary for Elijah to arrive first?”	10 وسأله تلاميذه قائلين فلماذا يقول الكتبة ان ايليا ينبغي ان يأتي اولا.
11 But in response, he said to them: “Elijah, indeed, shall arrive and restore all things.	11 فاجاب يسوع وقال لهم ان ايليا يأتي اولا ويردّ كل شيء.
12 But I say to you, that Elijah has already arrived, and they did not recognize him, but they did whatever they wanted to him. So also shall the Son of man suffer from them.”	12 ولكني اقول لكم ان ايليا قد جاء ولم يعرفوه بل عملوا به كل ما ارادوا. كذلك ابن الانسان ايضا سوف يتألم منهم.
13 Then the disciples understood that he had spoken to them about John the Baptist.	13 حينئذ فهم التلاميذ انه قال لهم عن يوحنا المعمدان
14 And when he had arrived at the multitude, a man approached him, falling to his knees before him, saying: “Lord, take pity on my son, for he is an epileptic, and he suffers harm. For he frequently falls into fire, and often also into water.	14 ولما جاءوا الى الجمع تقدم اليه رجل جاثيا له
15 And I brought him to your disciples, but they were not able to cure him.”	15 وقائلا يا سيد ارحم ابني فانه يصرع ويتألم شديدا. ويقع كثيرا في النار وكثيرا في الماء.
16 Then Jesus responded by saying: “What an unbelieving and perverse generation! How long shall I be with you? How long shall I endure you? Bring him here to me.”	16 واحضرته الى تلاميذك فلم يقدروا ان يشفوه.
17 And Jesus rebuked him, and the demon went out of him, and the boy was cured from that hour.	17 فاجاب يسوع وقال ايها الجيل غير المؤمن الملتوي. الى متى اكون معكم. الى متى احتملكم. قدموه اليّ ههنا.
18 Then the disciples approached Jesus privately and said, “Why were we unable to cast him out?”	18 فانتهره يسوع فخرج منه الشيطان فشفي الغلام من تلك الساعة.
19 Jesus said to them: “Because of your unbelief. Amen I say to you, certainly, if you will have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it shall move. And nothing will be impossible for you.	19 ثم تقدم التلاميذ الى يسوع على انفراد وقالوا لماذا لم نقدر نحن ان نخرجه.
20 But this kind is not cast out, except through prayer and fasting.”	20 فقال لهم يسوع لعدم ايمانكم. فالحق اقول لكم لو كان لكم ايمان مثل حبة خردل لكنتم تقولون لهذا الجبل انتقل من هنا الى هناك فينتقل ولا يكون شيء غير ممكن لديكم.
21 And when they were conversing together in Galilee, Jesus said to them: “The Son of man shall be delivered into the hands of men.	21 واما هذا الجنس فلا يخرج الا بالصلاة والصوم
22 And they will kill him, but he will rise again on the third day.” And they were extremely saddened.	22 وفيما هم يترددون في الجليل قال لهم يسوع. ابن الانسان سوف يسلم الى ايدي الناس
23 And when they had arrived at Capernaum, those who collected the half shekel approached Peter, and they said to him, “Doesn’t your Teacher pay the half shekel?”	23 فيقتلونه وفي اليوم الثالث يقوم. فحزنوا جدا
24 He said, “Yes.” And when he had entered into the house, Jesus went before him, saying: “How does it seem to you, Simon? The kings of the earth, from whom do they receive tribute or the census tax: from their own sons or from foreigners?”	24 ولما جاءوا الى كفر ناحوم تقدم الذين ياخذون الدرهمين الى بطرس وقالوا أما يوفي معلمكم الدرهمين.
25 And he said, “From foreigners.” Jesus said to him: “Then the sons are free.	25 قال بلى. فلما دخل البيت سبقه يسوع قائلا ماذا تظن يا سمعان. ممن ياخذ ملوك الارض الجباية او الجزية أمن بنيهم ام من الاجانب.
26 But so that we may not become an obstacle to them: go to the sea, and cast in a hook, and take the first fish that is brought up, and when you have opened its mouth, you will find a shekel. Take it and give it to them, for me and for you.”	26 قال له بطرس من الاجانب. قال له يسوع فاذا البنون احرار.
	27 ولكن لئلا نعثرهم اذهب الى البحر وألق صنارة والسمكة التي تطلع اولا خذها ومتى فتحت فاها تجد استارا فخذه واعطهم عني وعنك
