1 Then, the eighth day having arrived, Moses called Aaron and his sons, and those greater by birth from Israel, and he said to Aaron:	1 Or venuto l'ottavo giorno, Mosè, chiamati Aronne, i figli di lui e gli anziani di Israele, disse ad Aronne:
2 “Take a calf for sin from the herd, and a ram as a holocaust, both immaculate, and offer them in the sight of the Lord.	2 « Prendi dall'armento un vitello per il peccato, e un montone per l'olocausto, ambedue senza difetto, e offrili davanti al Signore.
3 And to the sons of Israel, you shall say: ‘Take a he-goat for sin, and a calf as well as a lamb, both one-year-old and without blemish, as a holocaust.	3 E dirai ai figli d'Israele: Prendete un capro per il peccato, un vitello e un agnello d'un anno e senza difetto per l'olocausto,
4 Take also an ox and a ram for peace offerings. And immolate them before the Lord, offering with the sacrifice of each one fine wheat flour sprinkled with oil. For today the Lord will appear to you.’ ”	4 un bue e un montone per un sacrifizio pacifico, e immolateli dinanzi al Signore, offrendo nel sacrifizio di ciascuno di essi fior di farina intrisa con olio; perchè oggi il Signore vi apparirà ».
5 And so they brought everything that Moses had ordered before the door of the tabernacle, where, when all the multitude stood together,	5 Essi adunque portarono tutte le cose che Mosè aveva ordinato, alla porta del Tabernacolo, dove, mentre tutta la moltitudine stava in piedi. Mosè disse:
6 Moses said: “This is the word, which the Lord has instructed. Accomplish it, and his glory will appear to you.”	6 « Questo è il comandamento che il Signore vi ha dato: eseguitelo e la sua gloria vi apparirà ».
7 And he said to Aaron: “Approach toward the altar, and immolate on behalf of your sin. Offer the holocaust, and pray for yourself and for the people. And when you have slain the victim for the people, pray for them, just as the Lord has instructed.”	7 Poi disse ad Aronne: « Accostati all'altare e sacrifica per il tuo peccato: offri l'olocausto, e prega per te e per il popolo: immolata che avrai la vittima del popolo, prega per esso, come il Signore ha comandato ».
8 And immediately Aaron, approaching toward the altar, immolated the calf for his sin.	8 E subito Aronne, accostatosi all'altare, immolò il vitello pel suo peccato.
9 And his sons brought its blood to him, and dipping his finger in it, he touched the horns of the altar, and he poured out the remainder at its base.	9 I figli suoi gliene presentarono il sangue, ed egli, intinto in essi il dito, toccò i corni dell'altare, e sparse il rimanente appiè dell'altare.
10 And the fat, and the little kidneys, and the mesh of the liver, which are for sin, he burned upon the altar, just as the Lord had instructed Moses.	10 Ma il grasso, i reni, la rete del fegato, che sono per il peccato, lì bruciò sull'altare, come il Signore aveva ordinato a Mosè;
11 Yet truly, the flesh and its skins he burned with fire beyond the camp.	11 invece la carne e la pelle le bruciò fuori dell'accampamento.
12 He also immolated the victim of holocaust. And his sons brought its blood to him, which he poured out all around the altar.	12 Immolò anche la vittima dell'olocausto; i suoi figli ne presentarono il sangue che egli sparse intorno all'altare.
13 And when the victim itself was cut into pieces, they brought him the head and each of the limbs, all of which he burned with fire upon the altar,	13 Gli presentarono pure la vittima tagliata a pezzi, il capo e tutte le membra, ed egli fece bruciar tutto ciò sull'altare,
14 having first washed the intestines and the feet with water.	14 dopo averne lavati con acqua gl'intestini e i piedi.
15 And making an offering for the sin of the people, he slew the he-goat. And expiating the altar,	15 Sacrificando poi per il peccato del popolo, immolò il capro, ed espiato l'altare,
16 he accomplished the holocaust,	16 fece l'olocausto,
17 adding to it the sacrifice of the libations, which are to be offered together, and burning them upon the altar, separately from the ceremonies of the morning holocaust.	17 aggiungendo al sacrifizio le libazioni, che parimente sono offerte, e facendole bruciar sull'altare, oltre le cerimonie dell'olocausto del mattino.
18 He also immolated the ox, as well as the ram, as peace offerings for the people. And his sons brought him the blood, which he poured out upon the altar all around.	18 Immolò pure il bue e il montone, ostie pacifiche del popolo; i suoi figli ne presentarono il sangue che egli sparse sull'altare, tutto all'intorno.
19 Then the fat of the ox, and the rump of the ram, and the two little kidneys with their fat, and the mesh of the liver,	19 Ma il grasso del bove, la coda del montone, i reni col loro grasso, e la rete del fegato
20 they placed upon the breasts. And when the fat had been burned upon the altar,	20 li posero sopra i petti; e, quando sopra l'altare furono bruciati i grassi,
21 Aaron separated their breasts and the right shoulders, lifting them up in the sight of the Lord, as Moses had instructed.	21 Aronne mise a parte i petti e le spalle destre, alzandoli davanti al Signore, come Mosè aveva ordinato.
22 And extending his hands to the people, he blessed them. And so, the victims for sin, and the holocausts, and the peace offerings being completed, he descended.	22 Poi, stesa la mano verso il popolo, lo benedisse. E così, dopo aver compiuto il sacrifizio per il peccato, l'olocausto e l'oblazione dell'ostie pacifiche, discese.
23 Then Moses and Aaron entered the tabernacle of the testimony, and afterwards came out and blessed the people. And the glory of the Lord appeared to the entire multitude.	23 Intanto Mosè ed Aronne entrarono nel Tabernacolo della testimonianza, dal quale poi usciti, benedissero il popolo, E la gloria del Signore apparve a tutta la moltitudine:
24 And, behold, a fire from the Lord devoured the holocaust, and the fat which was on the altar. When the crowd had seen this, they praised the Lord, falling on their faces.	24 un fuoco, uscito dal Signore, divorò l'olocausto c tutti i grassi che erano sull'altare. La qual cosa avendo veduto il popolo, diede lode al Signore, gettandosi bocconi per terra.
