Psalms 56

2 Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me. For my soul trusts in you. And I will hope in the shadow of your wings, until iniquity passes away.	2 Ten piedad de mí, Señor, porque me asedian, todo el día me combaten y me oprimen:
3 I will cry out to God Most High, to God who has been kind to me.	3 mis enemigos me asedian sin cesar, son muchos los que combaten contra mí.
4 He sent from heaven and freed me. He has surrendered into disgrace those who trampled me. God has sent his mercy and his truth.	4 Cuando me asalta el temor, yo pongo mi confianza en ti, Dios Altísimo;
5 And he has rescued my soul from the midst of the young lions. I slept troubled. The sons of men: their teeth are weapons and arrows, and their tongue is a sharp sword.	5 confío en Dios y alabo su Palabra, confío en él y ya no temo: ¿qué puede hacerme un simple mortal?
6 Be exalted above the heavens, O God, and your glory above all the earth.	6 Me afligen constantemente con sus palabras, sólo piensan en hacerme daño;
7 They prepared a snare for my feet, and they bowed down my soul. They dug a pit before my face, yet they have fallen into it.	7 conspiran, se esconden y siguen mis rastros, esperando la ocasión de quitarme la vida.
8 My heart is prepared, O God, my heart is prepared. I will sing, and I will compose a psalm.	8 ¿Podrán librarse a pesar de su maldad? ¡Derriba a esa gente, Dios mío, con tu enojo!
9 Rise up, my glory. Rise up, psaltery and harp. I will arise in early morning.	9 Tú has anotado los pasos de mi destierro; recoge mis lágrimas en tu odre: ¿acaso no está todo registrado en tu Libro?
10 I will confess to you, O Lord, among the peoples. I will compose a psalm to you among the nations.	10 Mis enemigos retrocederán cuando te invoque. Yo sé muy bien que Dios está de mi parte;
11 For your mercy has been magnified, even to the heavens, and your truth, even to the clouds.	11 confío en Dios y alabo su palabra;
12 Be exalted above the heavens, O God, and your glory above all the earth.	12 confío en él y ya no temo: ¿qué pueden hacerme los hombres?
	13 Debo cumplir, Dios mío, los votos que te hice: te ofreceré sacrificios de alabanza,
	14 porque tú libraste mi vida de la muerte y mis pies de la caída, para que camine delante de Dios en la luz de la vida.
