1 For the First Sabbath. A Psalm of David. The earth and all its fullness belong to the Lord: the whole world and all that dwells in it.	1 - [Da cantarsi] nel primo dì della settimana. Salmo di David. Del Signore è la terra e ciò che la riempie, il mondo e tutti i suoi abitanti.
2 For he has founded it upon the seas, and he has prepared it upon the rivers.	2 Perchè lui sui mari l'ha fondata e sopra i fiumi l'ha stabilita.
3 Who will ascend to the mountain of the Lord? And who will stand in his holy place?	3 Chi salirà mai al monte del Signore? chi si fermerà nel luogo suo santo?
4 The innocent of hands and the clean of heart, who has not received his soul in vain, nor sworn deceitfully to his neighbor.	4 L'innocente di mani e puro di cuore, che non abbandona a vanità l'anima sua, nè giura con frode al suo prossimo.
5 He will receive a blessing from the Lord, and mercy from God, his Saviour.	5 E' riceverà benedizione dal Signore e grazia da Dio suo salvatore.
6 This is the generation that seeks him, that seeks the face of the God of Jacob.	6 Quest'è la progenie di quei che lo cercano, di quei che cercan la faccia del Dio di Giacobbe.
7 Lift up your gates, you princes, and be lifted up, eternal gates. And the King of Glory shall enter.	7 Alzate, o principi, le vostre porte, inalzatevi, o porte eterne, sì che entri il re della gloria.
8 Who is this King of Glory? The Lord who is strong and powerful; the Lord powerful in battle.	8 Chi è questo re della gloria? Il Signore forte e potente, il Signore potente in battaglia.
9 Lift up your gates, you princes, and be lifted up, eternal gates. And the King of Glory shall enter.	9 Alzate, o principi, le vostre porte, inalzatevi, o porte eterne, sì che entri il re della gloria.
10 Who is this King of Glory? The Lord of virtue. He himself is the King of Glory.	10 Chi è il re della gloria? Il Signore delle schiere, è desso il re della gloria!
