Psalms 109

1 A Psalm of David. The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool.”	1 Salmo di David. Disse il Signore al Signore mio: siedi alla destra mia, insino ch' io ponerò li tuoi nemici, come scabello de' tuoi piedi.
2 The Lord will send forth the scepter of your virtue from Zion. Rule in the midst of your enemies.	2 Il Signore manderà la bacchetta della virtù tua di Sion; signorizza in mezzo de' nemici tuoi.
3 It is with you from the beginning, in the day of your virtue, in the splendor of the saints. From conception, before the light-bearer, I begot you.	3 Sarò teco nel principio, nel dì della virtù tua, nella luce de' santi; prima che lucifero, del ventre te generai.
4 The Lord has sworn, and he will not repent: “You are a priest forever, according to the order of Melchizedek.”	4 Giurò il Signore, e non si pentirà; tu sei sacerdote in eterno secondo l'ordine di Melchisedec.
5 The Lord is at your right hand. He has broken kings in the day of his wrath.	5 Il Signore è alla mano destra tua; ha fracassati li re nel dì della ira sua.
6 He will judge between the nations; he will fill up ruination. He will shatter heads in the land of the many.	6 Giudicarà nelle nazioni; empirà le ruine; nella terra abbasserà li capi di molti.
7 He will drink from the torrent on the way. Because of this, he will exalt the head.	7 Nella via bevette del torrente; però hassi esaltato il capo.
