Titus 3

NEW JERUSALEM	KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA
1 Remind them to be obedient to the officials in authority; to be ready to do good at every opportunity;	1 Figyelmeztesd őket, hogy a fejedelmeknek és a hatóságoknak vessék alá magukat, hogy engedelmeskedjenek, legyenek minden jótettre készek,
2 not to go slandering other people but to be peaceable and gentle, and always polite to people of al kinds.	2 senkit se szidalmazzanak, ne veszekedjenek. Legyenek szerények, tanúsítsanak minden ember iránt mindig szelídséget.
3 There was a time when we too were ignorant, disobedient and misled and enslaved by different passionsand dissipations; we lived then in wickedness and malice, hating each other and hateful ourselves.	3 Hiszen valamikor mi magunk is oktalanok, engedetlenek és tévelygők voltunk, sokféle vágynak és gyönyörnek szolgáltunk, gonoszságban és irigységben tengődtünk, gyűlöletesek és egymással gyűlölködők voltunk.
4 But when the kindness and love of God our Saviour for humanity were revealed,	4 Mikor azonban Üdvözítő Istenünk jósága és emberszeretete megjelent,
5 it was not because of any upright actions we had done ourselves; it was for no reason except his ownfaithful love that he saved us, by means of the cleansing water of rebirth and renewal in the Holy Spirit	5 megmentett minket, nem a mi igaz cselekedeteinkért, amelyeket véghezvittünk, hanem az ő irgalmasságából, a Szentlélek újjáalkotó és megújító fürdője által,
6 which he has so generously poured over us through Jesus Christ our Saviour;	6 akit bőségesen kiárasztott ránk Jézus Krisztus, a mi Üdvözítőnk által,
7 so that, justified by his grace, we should become heirs in hope of eternal life.	7 hogy kegyelme révén megigazulva, reménybeli örököseivé legyünk az örök életnek.
8 This is doctrine that you can rely on. I want you to be quite uncompromising in teaching all this, so thatthose who now believe in God may keep their minds constantly occupied in doing good works. Al this is good,and useful for everybody.	8 Igaz beszéd ez, és azt akarom, hogy erősítsd meg bennük ezt, hogy akik hisznek Istenben, igyekezzenek elöljárni a jócselekedetekben. Jó ez és hasznos az emberek számára.
9 But avoid foolish speculations, and those genealogies, and the quibbles and disputes about the Law --they are useless and futile.	9 Az oktalan vitákat, nemzetségtáblákat, veszekedéseket és a törvényről való vitatkozásokat ellenben kerüld, mert azok haszontalan és hiábavaló dolgok.
10 If someone disputes what you teach, then after a first and a second warning, have no more to do withhim:	10 Az eretnek embert egy-két intés után kerüld,
11 you wil know that anyone of that sort is warped and is self-condemned as a sinner.	11 tudva, hogy az ilyen romlott, vétkezik, és saját maga ítéli el önmagát.
12 As soon as I have sent Artemas or Tychicus to you, do your best to join me at Nicopolis, where I havedecided to spend the winter.	12 Mihelyt hozzád küldöm Artemászt vagy Tichikuszt, siess, gyere hozzám Nikopoliszba! Úgy határoztam ugyanis, hogy ott töltöm a telet.
13 Help eagerly on their way Zenas the lawyer and Apollos, and make sure they have everything theyneed.	13 A törvénytanító Zénászt, valamint Apollót gondosan ellátva küldd tovább, hogy ne legyen hiányuk semmiben.
14 Al our people must also learn to occupy themselves in doing good works for their practical needs, andnot to be unproductive.	14 De a mieink is tanulják meg, hogy jótettekkel járjanak elöl, ahol sürgős segítségre van szükség, hogy ne legyenek gyümölcstelenek.
15 Al those who are with me send their greetings. Greetings to those who love us in the faith. Grace bewith you all.	15 Köszöntenek a velem levők mindnyájan. Köszöntsd azokat, akik szeretnek minket a hitben! Kegyelem legyen mindnyájatokkal!
