Micah 4

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA VOLGARE
1 But in days to come Yahweh's Temple Mountain will tower above the mountains, rise higher than thehil s.	1 E verrà nell' ultimo dì, ch? sarà la casa di Dio uno monte apparecchiato nella sommità de' monti, e sarà alto sopra (tutti) li colli; e li popoli correranno a lui.
2 Then the peoples wil stream to it, then many nations wil come and say, 'Come, we will go up toYahweh's mountain, to the Temple of the God of Jacob, so that he may teach us his ways and we may walk inhis paths; for the Law issues from Zion and Yahweh's word from Jerusalem.'	2 E molte genti profeteranno, e diranno: venite, saliamo al monte di Dio e alla casa [dello Iddio] di Iacob; e insegnerà a noi delle sue vie, e anderemo per li suoi sentieri; però che la legge uscirà di Sion, e la parola di Dio di Ierusalem (cioè lo figliuolo suo).
3 He wil judge between many peoples and arbitrate between mighty nations. They wil hammer theirswords into ploughshares and their spears into bil -hooks. Nation will not lift sword against nation or ever againbe trained to make war.	3 E giudicherà tra molti popoli, e riprenderà le genti forti insino alla lunga; de' loro coltelli farà gomieri, e delle lance farà zappe; e niuna gente piglierà arme incontro ad altra gente, e non impareranno più a guerreggiare.
4 But each man wil sit under his vine and fig tree with no one to trouble him. The mouth of YahwehSabaoth has spoken.	4 E sederà l'uomo sotto la sua vigna e sotto lo suo fico, e non sarà chi ispaventi loro; però che la bocca del Signore delli esèrciti hae parlato.
5 For all peoples go forward, each in the name of its god, while we go forward in the name of Yahweh ourGod for ever and ever.	5 Però che tutti li popoli anderanno ciascuno nel nome del suo iddio; in eterno e oltre.
6 That day -- declares Yahweh- I shal gather in the lame and bring together the strays and those whom Ihave treated harshly.	6 In quel dì, dice lo Signore Iddio, io radunerò lo zoppo; e quella ch' io avea cacciata, radunerò, e quella ch' io avea afflitta.
7 From the footsore I shall make a remnant, and from the far-flung a mighty nation. And Yahweh will reignover them on Mount Zion thenceforth and for ever.	7 E porrò lo zoppo con li rimanenti; e quella ch' era stata inferma, farò robusta; e lo Signore regnerà sopra loro nel monte di Sion, da questa ora insino che sarà lo secolo.
8 And to you, Tower of the Flock, Ophel of the daughter of Zion, to you your former sovereignty wil return,the royal power of the daughter of Jerusalem.	8 E tu, (come) torre della gregge che se' nuvolosa, le figliuole di Sion verranno insino a te; e verrà la signoria prima delli re delle figliuole di Ierusalem.
9 Why are you crying out now? Have you no king? Has your counsel or perished, for pangs to grip youlike those of a woman in labour?	9 E ora dunque per che ti contristi di dolore? or non hai tu re, ovvero che sia perito lo tuo consigliere, che lo dolore t' hae compresa come se partorissi?
10 Writhe in pain and cry aloud, daughter of Zion, like a woman in labour, for now you must leave the cityand camp in the open country; to Babylon you must go, and there you will be rescued; there Yahweh wil ransomyou from the clutches of your enemies.	10 O figliuola di Sion, abbi dolore e isforzati come quella che partorisce; però che ora tu uscirai della cittade, e abiterai nella contrada, e verrai insino a Babilonia; e ivi sarai liberata, e ivi ricompererà te lo Signore delle mani de' tuoi nemici.
11 Now many nations have mustered against you. They say, 'Let us desecrate her, let us gloat over Zion!'	11 E ora sono radunate sopra te molte genti, le quali dicono: sia lapidata, e lo nostro occhio ragguardi in Sion, (cioè la mala nostra volontà sia contra Sion).
12 But they do not know Yahweh's thoughts, they do not understand his design: he has col ected themlike sheaves on the threshing-floor.	12 Ma loro non conobbono le cogitazioni del Signore, e non intesono lo suo consiglio; però che li radunò come lo fieno nell' aia.
13 Start your threshing, daughter of Zion, for I shal make your horn like iron, I shall make your hooves likebronze, so that you can crush many peoples. And you wil devote what they have stolen to Yahweh, their wealthto the Lord of the whole earth.	13 Lièvati suso, tu figliuola di Sion, e trita; però ch' io porrò lo tuo corno che sarà di ferro, e le tue unghie porrò di metallo; e menerai molti popoli, e ucciderai al Signore le loro rapine, e la loro fortezza al Signore di tutta l' universa terra.
14 Now look to your fortifications, Fortress! They have laid siege to us; the ruler of Israel wil be struck onthe cheek with a rod.
