Ezekiel 36

NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 'Son of man, prophesy to the mountains of Israel. Say, "Mountains of Israel, hear the word of Yahweh.	1 "Quindi, o figlio dell'uomo, profetizza ai monti d'Israele e di' loro: Monti d'Israele, ascoltate la parola del Signore:
2 The Lord Yahweh says this: Since the enemy has gloated over you by saying: Aha! These eternalheights are owned by us now,	2 Così dice Dio, mio Signore: Poiché il nemico ha detto contro di voi: "Evviva! Desolazioni eterne! Siete diventate nostro possesso ereditario!",
3 very wel , prophesy! Say: The Lord Yahweh says this: Since you have been ravaged and seized onfrom al sides, and have become the property of the rest of the nations, and become the subject of people's talkand gossip,	3 perciò profetizza e di': così dice Dio, mio Signore: Siccome siete desolati e vi si smania attorno perché diventiate possesso ereditario delle altre genti e siete sulle labbra, pettegolezzo e insulto della gente,
4 very wel , mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord Yahweh! The Lord Yahweh says this to themountains and hil s, to the ravines and val eys, to the devastated ruins and abandoned cities which have beenput to the sack and have become a laughing-stock to the rest of the nations al round;	4 perciò, o monti d'Israele, ascoltate la parola di Dio, mio Signore: così dice Dio, mio Signore, ai monti e ai colli, alle gole e alle valli, alle zone devastate e desolate e alle città abbandonate, dato che furono bottino e beffa delle altre genti d'intorno,
5 very wel , the Lord Yahweh says this: I swear it in the heat of my jealousy; I am speaking to the rest ofthe nations and to the whole of Edom who so exultantly and contemptuously took possession of my country todespoil its pastureland."	5 perciò così dice Dio, mio Signore: Nel fuoco della mia ira così affermo contro le altre genti e contro Edom tutto: dato che si sono destinati il mio paese in possesso ereditario con piena gioia del cuore, tutti smaniosi per la sua evacuazione, per farne bottino,
6 'Because of this, prophesy about the land of Israel. Say to the mountains and hil s, to the ravines andval eys, "The Lord Yahweh says this: I am speaking in my jealousy and rage; because you are enduring theinsults of the nations,	6 perciò profetizza alla terra d'Israele e di' ai monti e ai colli, alle gole e alle valli: così dice Dio, mio Signore: Ecco, ho parlato nella mia gelosia e nel mio furore: poiché avete sopportato l'obbrobrio delle genti,
7 very wel , the Lord Yahweh says this: I raise my hand and I swear that the nations al around you shallhave their own insults to bear.	7 perciò così dice Dio, mio Signore: Io alzai in giuramento la mia mano. Certamente le genti che avete attorno saranno esse a sopportare l'obbrobrio,
8 "Mountains of Israel, you will grow branches and bear fruit for my people Israel, who wil soon return.	8 mentre voi, o monti d'Israele, metterete i vostri rami e porterete i vostri frutti per il mio popolo Israele. Sì, tutto questo è ormai vicino.
9 Yes, I am coming to you, I shal turn to you; you wil be tilled and sown.	9 Infatti, eccomi a voi; mi volgerò verso di voi e sarete coltivati e seminati.
10 I shal increase your population, the whole House of Israel, yes, al . The cities wil be inhabited andthe ruins rebuilt.	10 Farò abbondare su di voi gli uomini, tutta la casa d'Israele; le città saranno abitate, le zone devastate saranno ricostruite.
11 I shal increase your population, both human and animal; they wil be fertile and reproduce. I shalrepopulate you as you were before; I shal make you more prosperous than you were before, and you wil knowthat I am Yahweh.	11 Farò abbondare su di voi uomini e animali; abbonderanno e saranno fecondi. Vi farò abitare come ai bei tempi, vi beneficherò come all'inizio e riconoscerete che io sono il Signore.
12 Thanks to me, men wil tread your soil again, my people Israel; they wil own you and you wil be theirheritage, and never again wil you rob them of their children.	12 Ricondurrò su di voi degli uomini, il mio popolo Israele; vi possederanno in eredità, sarete la loro eredità e non sarete più spopolati.
13 "The Lord Yahweh says this: Since people have said of you: You are a man-eater, you have robbedyour nation of its children,	13 Così dice Dio, mio Signore: Poiché dicono di voi: "Sei una terra che mangia gli uomini, che hai eliminato i tuoi nati",
14 very well, you wil eat no more men, never rob your nation of its children again -- declares the LordYahweh.	14 perciò non mangerai più gli uomini e non eliminerai più i tuoi nati, oracolo di Dio, mio Signore,
15 I shal never again let you hear the insults of the nations, you wil never again have to bear the tauntsof the peoples, you wil never again rob the nation of its children -- declares the Lord Yahweh." '	15 e io non farò più echeggiare gli insulti delle genti su di te, non dovrai più sopportare l'obbrobrio dei popoli, non eliminerai più i tuoi nati. Oracolo di Dio, mio Signore".
16 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,	16 Mi giunse la parola del Signore:
17 'Son of man, the members of the House of Israel used to live in their own territory, but they defiled itby their conduct and actions; to me their conduct was as unclean as a woman's menstruation.	17 "Figlio dell'uomo, quando quelli della casa d'Israele abitavano nel loro paese, l'hanno macchiato d'impurità con la loro condotta e le loro azioni; la loro condotta era al mio cospetto come l'impurità della donna in mestruazione.
18 I then vented my fury on them because of the blood they shed in the country and the foul idols withwhich they defiled it.	18 Io quindi riversai il mio furore contro di essi per il sangue che avevano versato sul paese e per gli idoli con cui si sono resi impuri.
19 I scattered them among the nations and they were dispersed throughout the countries. I sentencedthem as their conduct and actions deserved.	19 Li disseminai tra le genti, furono dispersi per il mondo, li giudicai secondo la loro condotta e le loro azioni.
20 They have profaned my holy name among the nations where they have gone, so that people say ofthem, "These are the people of Yahweh; they have been exiled from his land."	20 Essi, arrivati presso le genti dove andarono a finire, profanarono il mio santo nome, perché si diceva di loro: "Quello è il popolo del Signore, eppure hanno dovuto uscire dal loro paese".
21 But I have been concerned about my holy name, which the House of Israel has profaned among thenations where they have gone.	21 Così io ebbi compassione del mio santo nome che la casa d'Israele aveva profanato tra le genti dov'erano andati.
22 And so, say to the House of Israel, "The Lord Yahweh says this: I am acting not for your sake, Houseof Israel, but for the sake of my holy name, which you have profaned among the nations where you have gone.	22 Perciò di' alla casa d'Israele: così dice Dio, mio Signore: Non è per voi che agisco, o casa d'Israele, ma per il mio santo nome, che avete profanato tra le genti dove andaste.
23 I am going to display the holiness of my great name, which has been profaned among the nations,which you have profaned among them. And the nations will know that I am Yahweh -- declares the Lord Yahweh-- when in you I display my holiness before their eyes.	23 Mostrerò santo il mio grande nome profanato tra le genti, nome che profanaste in mezzo a loro. Le genti riconosceranno che io sono il Signore, oracolo di Dio, mio Signore, quando mi si riconoscerà santo per mezzo vostro, al loro cospetto
24 For I shall take you from among the nations and gather you back from al the countries, and bring youhome to your own country.	24 e vi prenderò di tra le genti, vi radunerò da tutte le parti del mondo e vi condurrò al vostro paese.
25 I shal pour clean water over you and you wil be cleansed; I shal cleanse you of all your filth and ofal your foul idols.	25 Vi aspergerò di acqua pura e sarete purificati da tutte le vostre impurità e da tutti gl'idoli con cui vi macchiaste.
26 I shal give you a new heart, and put a new spirit in you; I shal remove the heart of stone from yourbodies and give you a heart of flesh instead.	26 Vi darò un cuore nuovo e metterò dentro di voi uno spirito nuovo. Toglierò il cuore di pietra dal vostro corpo e vi metterò un cuore di carne.
27 I shal put my spirit in you, and make you keep my laws, and respect and practise my judgements.	27 Metterò il mio spirito dentro di voi, farò sì che osserviate i miei decreti e seguiate le mie norme.
28 You wil live in the country which I gave your ancestors. You wil be my people and I shal be yourGod.	28 Abiterete nel paese che avevo destinato ai vostri padri; sarete il mio popolo e io sarò il vostro Dio.
29 I shal save you from everything that defiles you, I shal summon the wheat and make it plentiful andimpose no more famines on you.	29 Vi salverò da tutte le vostre impurità; farò crescere il grano e lo farò abbondare, non vi manderò più la fame.
30 I shal increase the yield of tree and field, so that you wil never again bear the ignominy of famineamong the nations.	30 Farò abbondare i frutti degli alberi, i prodotti della campagna in modo che voi, tra le genti, non subiate più l'obbrobrio della fame.
31 Then you wil remember your evil conduct and actions. You will loathe yourselves for your guilt andyour loathsome practices.	31 Voi vi ricorderete della vostra condotta cattiva e delle vostre opere tutt'altro che buone, starete col volto angosciato per le vostre colpe e le vostre abominazioni.
32 I assure you that I am not doing this for your sake -- declares the Lord Yahweh. Be ashamed andblush for your conduct, House of Israel.	32 Non è per voi che lo faccio, oracolo di Dio, mio Signore, vi sia ben chiaro! Arrossite e vergognatevi della vostra condotta, o casa d'Israele.
33 "The Lord Yahweh says this: On the day I cleanse you from all your guilt, I shall repopulate the citiesand cause the ruins to be rebuilt.	33 Così dice Dio, mio Signore: Quando vi purificherò da tutte le vostre colpe, vi farò riabitare le città e ricostruire le terre devastate.
34 Waste land, once desolate for every passer-by to see, will now be farmed again.	34 Il paese desolato sarà coltivato, anziché restare desolato al cospetto di ogni passante.
35 And people wil say: This land, so recently a waste, is now like a garden of Eden, and the ruinedcities once abandoned and levelled to the ground are now strongholds with people living in them.	35 Diranno: "Questo paese devastato è diventato come il giardino dell'Eden e le città desolate, devastate e rase al suolo, le hanno abitate e fortificate".
36 And the nations left round you wil know that I, Yahweh, have rebuilt what was levelled and replantedwhat was ruined. I, Yahweh, have spoken and shall do it.	36 Le genti che rimarranno attorno a voi riconosceranno che io, il Signore, ho ricostruito ciò che era raso al suolo e piantato dove era desolazione. Io, il Signore, ho parlato e così farò.
37 "The Lord Yahweh says this: As a further mark of favour, I shal let myself be consulted by the Houseof Israel; I shal increase their numbers like a human flock,	37 Così dice Dio, mio Signore: Ancora mi si interpellerà perché faccio questo, o casa d'Israele: moltiplicherò gli uomini come pecore.
38 like a flock of sacrificial animals, like the flock in Jerusalem on her solemn feasts. So your ruinedcities will be fil ed with human flocks, and they wil know that I am Yahweh." '	38 Come le pecore dei sacrifici, come le pecore di Gerusalemme nelle sue ricorrenze, così le città devastate saranno ripiene di pecore umane e riconosceranno che io sono il Signore".
