1 For the leader. A psalm of David.	1 Signore, a te ho clamato, esaudi; quando a te clamerò, intendi alla voce mia.
2 Deliver me, LORD, from the wicked; preserve me from the violent,	2 Dirizzasi la orazione mia come incenso nel conspetto tuo; la elevazione delle mani mie è sacrificio vespertino.
3 From those who plan evil in their hearts, who stir up conflicts every day,	3 Poni, Signore, guardia alla bocca mia, e la porta della circostanza a' labbri miei.
4 Who sharpen their tongues like serpents, venom of asps upon their lips. Selah	4 Non declinare il cuore mio nelle parole di malizia, ad escusare la escusazione ne' peccati. Non comunicherò con li uomini operanti la iniquità, e con loro eletti.
5 Keep me, LORD, from the clutches of the wicked; preserve me from the violent, who plot to trip me up.	5 Castigarammi il giusto nella misericordia, e riprenderammi; ma l'olio del peccatore non ungerà il capo mio. È ancora la orazione mia nelle loro bone piacevolezze;
6 The arrogant have set a trap for me; villains have spread a net, laid snares for me by the wayside. Selah	6 sono assorbiti li loro giùdici, alligati alla pietra. Udiranno le mie parole per che hanno possuto;
7 I say to the LORD: You are my God; listen, LORD, to the words of my prayer.	7 come grassezza della terra è dissipata sopra la terra. L'ossa mia sono dissipate appresso l' inferno.
8 My revered LORD, my strong helper, my helmet on the day of battle.	8 Per che a te, Signore, sono gli occhi miei; in te ho sperato, non rimovere (da te) l'anima mia.
9 LORD, do not grant the desires of the wicked; do not let their plots succeed. Selah	9 Guarda me dal laccio che a me hanno ordinato, e dalli scandali [delli] operanti la iniquità.
10 Around me they raise their proud heads; may the mischief they threaten overwhelm them.	10 Nel suo reticello caderanno li peccatori; singularmente son io insino ch' io passi.
11 May God rain burning coals upon them, cast them into the grave never more to rise.
12 Slanderers will not survive on earth; evil will quickly entrap the violent.
13 For I know the LORD will secure justice for the needy, their rights for the poor.
14 Then the just will give thanks to your name; the upright will dwell in your presence.
