1 Then Job spoke again and said:	1 E Giobbe rispose, e disse:
2 What help you give to the powerless, what strength to the feeble arm!	2 A chi vuoi tu dar soccorso? forse ad uno che sia spossato? e vuoi tu sostentar le braccia di un che forza non abbia?
3 How you counsel, as though he had no wisdom; how profuse is the advice you offer!	3 A chi dai tu consiglio? forse a colui che saggezza non ha? ed hai fatto mostra della moltissima tua prudenza?
4 With whose help have you uttered those words, and whose is the breath that comes forth from you?	4 A chi volevi tu insegnare, se non a lui che fece gli spiriti?
5 The shades beneath writhe in terror, the waters, and their inhabitants.	5 Ecco che i giganti gemono sotto le acque insieme cogli altri, che in esso dimorano.
6 Naked before him is the nether world, and Abaddon has no covering.	6 Agli occhi di lui è aperto l'inferno, e l'abisso non ha telo che lo ricuopra.
7 He stretches out the North over empty space, and suspends the earth over nothing at all;	7 Egli ne' vuoti spazj stese il settentrione, e sopra il niente sospese la terra.
8 He binds up the waters in his clouds, yet the cloud is not rent by their weight;	8 Egli che serra le acque nelle sue nuvole, affinchè tutte insieme non precipitino al basso.
9 He holds back the appearance of the full moon by spreading his clouds before it.	9 Egli nasconde alla vista il suo trono, e le sue nubi spande sopra di esso.
10 He has marked out a circle on the surface of the deep as the boundary of light and darkness.	10 Tirò i confini intorno alle acque, per sino a tanto che la luce, e le tenebre abbiano fine.
11 The pillars of the heavens tremble and are stunned at his thunderous rebuke;	11 Le colonne del cielo tremano, e si impauriscono ad un cenno di lui.
12 By his power he stirs up the sea, and by his might he crushes Rahab;	12 Dalla possanza di lui furon riuniti in un attimo i mari, e la sapienza di lui percosse il superbo.
13 With his angry breath he scatters the waters, and he hurls the lightning against them relentlessly; His hand pierces the fugitive dragon as from his hand it strives to flee.	13 Lo spirito di lui ornò i cieli, e pelle mani di lui fu tratto in luce il tortuoso serpente.
14 Lo, these are but the outlines of his ways, and how faint is the word we hear!	14 Ecco che si è rammentata una parte delle opere di lui: che se quello, che abbiamo udito o una piccola stilla rispetto a quel che può dirsi, chi potrà reggere al tuono di sua grandezza?
