1 על נהרות בבל שם ישבנו גם בכינו בזכרנו את ציון	1 Praise the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
2 על ערבים בתוכה תלינו כנרותינו	2 Praise ye the God of gods: for his mercy endureth for ever.
3 כי שם שאלונו שובינו דברי שיר ותוללינו שמחה שירו לנו משיר ציון	3 Praise ye the Lord of lords: for his mercy endureth for ever.
4 איך נשיר את שיר יהוה על אדמת נכר	4 Who alone doth great wonders: for his mercy endureth for ever.
5 אם אשכחך ירושלם תשכח ימיני	5 Who made the heavens in understanding: for his mercy endureth for ever.
6 תדבק לשוני לחכי אם לא אזכרכי אם לא אעלה את ירושלם על ראש שמחתי	6 Who established the earth above the waters: for his mercy endureth for ever.
