1 Weiter gebot der HERR dem Mose folgendes:	1 The LORD said to Moses,
2 »Fertige dir zwei silberne Trompeten an; in getriebener Arbeit sollst du sie anfertigen, und sie sollen dir dazu dienen, die Gemeinde zusammenzurufen und das Zeichen zum Aufbruch der Lager zu geben.	2 "Make two silver trumpets; of hammered work you shall make them; and you shall use them for summoning the congregation, and for breaking camp.
3 Sobald mit ihnen (beiden) geblasen wird, soll sich die ganze Gemeinde bei dir am Eingang des Offenbarungszeltes versammeln;	3 And when both are blown, all the congregation shall gather themselves to you at the entrance of the tent of meeting.
4 wird aber nur mit einer geblasen, so sollen sich die Fürsten, die Häupter der Tausendschaften (oder: die Stammeshäupter) der Israeliten, bei dir versammeln.	4 But if they blow only one, then the leaders, the heads of the tribes of Israel, shall gather themselves to you.
5 Wenn aber Alarm (= Geschmetter) geblasen wird, so sollen die ostwärts liegenden Lager aufbrechen;	5 When you blow an alarm, the camps that are on the east side shall set out.
6 und wenn zum zweitenmal Alarm geblasen wird, sollen die südwärts liegenden Lager aufbrechen: Alarm soll geblasen werden zu ihrem Aufbruch.	6 And when you blow an alarm the second time, the camps that are on the south side shall set out. An alarm is to be blown whenever they are to set out.
7 Wenn es sich aber um die Versammlung der Gemeinde handelt, sollt ihr einfache Trompetenzeichen geben, aber keinen Alarm blasen.	7 But when the assembly is to be gathered together, you shall blow, but you shall not sound an alarm.
8 Das Blasen der Trompeten soll den Söhnen Aarons, den Priestern, obliegen; diese Vorschriften sollen bei euch ewige Geltung für eure künftigen Geschlechter haben.	8 And the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow the trumpets. The trumpets shall be to you for a perpetual statute throughout your generations.
9 Und wenn ihr in eurem Lande gegen den Feind, der euch bedrängt, in den Krieg zieht und Alarm mit den Trompeten blast, so wird euer beim HERRN, eurem Gott, gedacht werden, so daß ihr Rettung von euren Feinden erlangt.	9 And when you go to war in your land against the adversary who oppresses you, then you shall sound an alarm with the trumpets, that you may be remembered before the LORD your God, and you shall be saved from your enemies.
10 Auch an euren Freudentagen und Festen sowie an euren Neumonden sollt ihr zu euren Brandopfern und zu euren Heilsopfern die Trompeten blasen, damit sie euch zu gnädigem Gedenken bei eurem Gott verhelfen: ich bin der HERR, euer Gott!«	10 On the day of your gladness also, and at your appointed feasts, and at the beginnings of your months, you shall blow the trumpets over your burnt offerings and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings; they shall serve you for remembrance before your God: I am the LORD your God."
11 Im zweiten Jahr, am zwanzigsten Tage des zweiten Monats, erhob sich die Wolke von der Wohnung des Gesetzes.	11 In the second year, in the second month, on the twentieth day of the month, the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle of the testimony,
12 Da brachen die Israeliten aus der Wüste Sinai auf, nach ihren Zügen (= ein Lager nach dem andern); und die Wolke ließ sich in der Wüste Paran nieder.	12 and the people of Israel set out by stages from the wilderness of Sinai; and the cloud settled down in the wilderness of Paran.
13 So brachen sie denn zum erstenmal nach dem durch Mose übermittelten Befehl des HERRN auf;	13 They set out for the first time at the command of the LORD by Moses.
14 und zwar brach zuerst das Panier des Lagers des Stammes Juda auf, eine Heerschar nach der andern; das Heer dieses Stammes befehligte Nahson, der Sohn Amminadabs.	14 The standard of the camp of the men of Judah set out first by their companies; and over their host was Nahshon the son of Amminadab.
15 Das Heer des Stammes Issaschar aber befehligte Nethaneel, der Sohn Zuars;	15 And over the host of the tribe of the men of Issachar was Nethanel the son of Zuar.
16 und das Heer des Stammes Sebulon befehligte Eliab, der Sohn Helons.	16 And over the host of the tribe of the men of Zebulun was Eliab the son of Helon.
17 Als dann die heilige Wohnung niedergelegt war, brachen die Gersoniten und die Merariten auf, welche die (heilige) Wohnung zu tragen hatten.	17 And when the tabernacle was taken down, the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari, who carried the tabernacle, set out.
18 Hierauf brach das Panier des Lagers Rubens auf, eine Heerschar nach der andern; das Heer dieses Stammes befehligte Elizur, der Sohn Sedeurs.	18 And the standard of the camp of Reuben set out by their companies; and over their host was Elizur the son of Shedeur.
19 Das Heer des Stammes Simeon aber befehligte Selumiel, der Sohn Zurisaddais;	19 And over the host of the tribe of the men of Simeon was Shelumi-el the son of Zurishaddai.
20 und das Heer des Stammes Gad befehligte Eljasaph, der Sohn Deguels.	20 And over the host of the tribe of the men of Gad was Eliasaph the son of Deuel.
21 Dann brachen die Kehathiten auf, die das (Hoch-) Heilige zu tragen hatten; man hatte aber die (heilige) Wohnung bis zu der Ankunft dieser schon aufgerichtet.	21 Then the Kohathites set out, carrying the holy things, and the tabernacle was set up before their arrival.
22 Hierauf brach das Panier des Lagers der Ephraimiten auf, eine Heerschar nach der andern; das Heer dieses Stammes befehligte Elisama, der Sohn Ammihuds.	22 And the standard of the camp of the men of Ephraim set out by their companies; and over their host was Elishama the son of Ammihud.
23 Das Heer des Stammes Manasse aber befehligte Gamliel, der Sohn Pedazurs;	23 And over the host of the tribe of the men of Manasseh was Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.
24 und das Heer des Stammes Benjamin befehligte Abidan, der Sohn Gideonis.	24 And over the host of the tribe of the men of Benjamin was Abidan the son of Gideoni.
25 Hierauf brach das Panier des Lagers des Stammes Dan auf, das die Nachhut sämtlicher Lager bildete, eine Heerschar nach der andern; das Heer dieses Stammes befehligte Ahieser, der Sohn Ammisaddais.	25 Then the standard of the camp of the men of Dan, acting as the rear guard of all the camps, set out by their companies; and over their host was Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.
26 Das Heer des Stammes Asser aber befehligte Pagiel, der Sohn Ochrans;	26 And over the host of the tribe of the men of Asher was Pagiel the son of Ochran.
27 und das Heer des Stammes Naphthali befehligte Ahira, der Sohn Enans.	27 And over the host of the tribe of the men of Naphtali was Ahira the son of Enan.
28 Dies war die Marschordnung, in der die Israeliten aufbrachen, eine Heerschar nach der andern.	28 This was the order of march of the people of Israel according to their hosts, when they set out.
29 Da sagte Mose zu Hobab, dem Sohn des Midianiters Reguel, des Schwiegervaters Moses: »Wir brechen jetzt nach dem Lande auf, von dem der HERR verheißen hat: ›Ich will es euch geben.‹ Ziehe mit uns, wir wollen es dir gut lohnen; denn der HERR hat Israel Gutes verheißen.«	29 And Moses said to Hobab the son of Reuel the Midianite, Moses' father-in-law, "We are setting out for the place of which the LORD said, 'I will give it to you'; come with us, and we will do you good; for the LORD has promised good to Israel."
30 Der aber antwortete ihm: »Nein, ich mag nicht mitziehen, sondern will in meine Heimat und zu meiner Verwandtschaft zurückkehren.«	30 But he said to him, "I will not go; I will depart to my own land and to my kindred."
31 Da bat ihn Mose: »Verlaß uns doch nicht! Denn da gerade du die Plätze kennst, wo wir in der Wüste lagern können, so sollst du unser Auge sein (= uns als Führer dienen).	31 And he said, "Do not leave us, I pray you, for you know how we are to encamp in the wilderness, and you will serve as eyes for us.
32 Wenn du mit uns ziehst und jenes Glück uns zuteil wird, mit dem der HERR uns segnen will, so wollen wir es dir gut lohnen.«	32 And if you go with us, whatever good the LORD will do to us, the same will we do to you."
33 So brachen sie denn vom Berge des HERRN auf, drei Tagereisen weit, indem die Bundeslade des HERRN vor ihnen herzog, drei Tagereisen weit, um einen Lagerplatz für sie ausfindig zu machen;	33 So they set out from the mount of the LORD three days' journey; and the ark of the covenant of the LORD went before them three days' journey, to seek out a resting place for them.
34 dabei stand die Wolke des HERRN bei Tage über ihnen, wenn sie aus dem Lager aufbrachen.	34 And the cloud of the LORD was over them by day, whenever they set out from the camp.
35 Und sooft die Lade sich in Bewegung setzte, rief Mose aus: »Erhebe dich, HERR, auf daß deine Feinde zerstieben und deine Widersacher vor dir fliehen!«	35 And whenever the ark set out, Moses said, "Arise, O LORD, and let thy enemies be scattered; and let them that hate thee flee before thee."
36 Und sooft sie (d.h. die Lade) Halt machte, rief er aus: »Kehre zurück, HERR, zu den Zehntausenden (oder: Mengen) der Tausende Israels!«	36 And when it rested, he said, "Return, O LORD, to the ten thousand thousands of Israel."
