1 Der HERR berief hierauf Mose und gebot ihm aus dem Offenbarungszelte folgendes:	1 Then the Lord called Moses and spoke to him from the tabernacle of the testimony, saying:
2 »Rede zu den Israeliten und befiehl ihnen: Wenn jemand von euch dem HERRN eine Opfergabe darbringen will, so sollt ihr eure Opfergabe vom Vieh, und zwar von den Rindern und vom Kleinvieh, darbringen.«	2 Speak to the sons of Israel, and you shall say to them: The man among you who will offer to the Lord a sacrifice from the cattle, that is, an offering of victims of oxen or sheep:
3 »Wenn seine Opfergabe in einem Brandopfer bestehen soll, und zwar von einem Rind, so muß er ein fehlerloses männliches Tier opfern. Er bringe dieses an den Eingang des Offenbarungszeltes, damit es ihm das Wohlgefallen des HERRN verschaffe.	3 if his offering will be a holocaust, as well as from the herd, he shall offer an immaculate male at the door of the tabernacle of the testimony, to make himself pleasing to the Lord.
4 Dann lege er seine Hand fest auf den Kopf des Brandopfertieres, so wird es wohlgefällig aufgenommen werden und ihm Sühne verschaffen.	4 And he shall place his hand on the head of the sacrifice, and so it shall be acceptable and effective, in its expiation.
5 Hierauf schlachte man das junge Rind vor dem HERRN; und die Priester, die Söhne Aarons, sollen das Blut herzubringen, und zwar so, daß sie das Blut ringsum an den Altar sprengen, der am (oder: vor dem) Eingang des Offenbarungszeltes steht.	5 And he shall immolate the calf in the sight of the Lord. And the priests, the sons of Aaron, shall offer its blood, pouring it all around the altar, which is before the door of the tabernacle.
6 Dann soll man dem Brandopfertier die Haut abziehen und es in seine Stücke zerlegen;	6 And having pulled away the skin of the victim, they shall cut up the joints into pieces,
7 die Söhne Aarons aber, die Priester, sollen Feuer auf den Altar tun und Holzstücke über dem Feuer aufschichten;	7 and they shall toss fire under the altar, having arranged beforehand a stack of wood.
8 sodann sollen die Söhne Aarons, die Priester, die Stücke, auch den Kopf und das Fett, auf dem Holz, das auf dem Altar über dem Feuer liegt, gehörig zurechtlegen.	8 And they shall lay the parts which are cut up in order upon it: namely, the head, and all the things that adjoin to the liver,
9 Die Eingeweide und Beine des Tieres aber soll man mit Wasser waschen, und der Priester soll dann das Ganze auf dem Altar in Rauch aufgehen lassen: so ist es ein Brandopfer, ein Feueropfer zu (oder: von) lieblichem Geruch für den HERRN.«	9 the intestines and feet having been washed with water. And the priest shall burn them on the altar as a holocaust and as a sweet odor to the Lord.
10 »Wenn aber seine Opfergabe, die ein Brandopfer sein soll, in einem Stück Kleinvieh, einem Schaf oder einer Ziege, besteht, so muß es ein männliches, fehlerloses Tier sein, das er zum Opfer bringt.	10 But if the offering is from the flocks, a holocaust either of sheep or goats, he shall offer a male without blemish.
11 Man schlachte dieses vor dem HERRN an der Nordseite des Altars; die Söhne Aarons aber, die Priester, sollen das Blut des Tieres ringsum an den Altar sprengen.	11 And he shall immolate it at the side of the altar which looks out toward the north, in the sight of the Lord. Yet truly, the sons of Aaron shall pour its blood upon the altar all around.
12 Dann soll man es in seine Stücke zerlegen, und der Priester soll diese, und zwar auch den Kopf und das Fett, auf dem Holz, das auf dem Altar über dem Feuer liegt, gehörig zurechtlegen.	12 And they shall divide the limbs, the head, and everything that adjoins to the liver. And they shall place them on the wood, under which the fire is to be thrown.
13 Die Eingeweide und Beine aber soll man mit Wasser waschen, und der Priester soll dann das Ganze darbringen und es auf dem Altar in Rauch aufgehen lassen: so ist es ein Brandopfer, ein Feueropfer zu (oder: von) lieblichem Geruch für den HERRN.«	13 Yet truly, the intestines and the feet they shall wash with water. And the priest, having offered everything, shall burn it upon the altar as a holocaust and as a most sweet odor to the Lord.
14 »Wenn aber seine Opfergabe für den HERRN, die ein Brandopfer sein soll, in Geflügel besteht, so müssen es Turteltauben oder junge Tauben sein, die er als Opfergabe darbringt.	14 But if the oblation of a holocaust to the Lord is of birds, either of turtledoves, or young pigeons,
15 Der Priester bringe das Tier an den Altar, knicke ihm den Kopf ab und lasse diesen auf dem Altar in Rauch aufgehen; das Blut aber lasse er an die Wand des Altars auslaufen.	15 the priest shall offer it at the altar: and twisting back the neck with the head, and also rupturing the place of the wound, he shall make the blood run down over the edge of the altar.
16 Darauf soll er den Kropf mit seinem Unrat (oder: Gefieder?) entfernen und ihn neben den Altar gegen Osten auf die Aschenstelle werfen.	16 Yet truly, the craw of the throat and the feathers he shall cast near the altar at the eastern section, in the place where the ashes are usually poured out.
17 Hierauf soll er dem Vogel die Flügel einreißen, jedoch ohne sie ganz abzutrennen, und der Priester soll ihn auf dem Altar, auf dem Holz, das über dem Feuer liegt, in Rauch aufgehen lassen: so ist es ein Brandopfer, ein Feueropfer zu (oder: von) lieblichem Geruch für den HERRN.«	17 And he shall break its wing joints, but he shall neither cut, nor divide it with metal, and he shall burn it upon the altar, placing fire under the wood. It is a holocaust and an oblation of a most sweet odor to the Lord.
